It's a large wooden structure playground with little forts, slides and all manner of fun stuff for kids of all ages to discover. It's even more fun than it looks in the photos I posted (methinks at least). The structure is really large & adults can can follow their kids most places on it if so desired. There are just a few spots where a young child could really take a tumble to the ground below, but that's the hazards of childhood. I kept a sharp eye on kid #1 until pretty recently. He loves this playground the best out of our small rotation though. There are also swings, a balance beam thing, slides and a sandbox. Picnic tables are around for parents & there's a small pavilion area I've seen co-opted for birthday parties. I don't think they do reservations like at Chestnut Branch park in Mantua. There's a much larger pavilion there, but the playground itself is not nearly as nice. The location is off of Crown Point Road past the library & police station if coming from Delaware St. Take the first right AFTER the light at police. There is a small sign. Follow the winding road back to the Little League field. Ample parking and a bathroom that is usually open are available. Sometimes the baseball snack bar will be open during season. We even caught a game once on a whim. Well, part of an inning! 3 year olds are notoriously fickle.

Admittedly, today was the first time I visited since I was a teenager. The park looked the same. I grew up about five minutes away from this park so it was host to plenty of picnics, walks, friend outings, and the *super intense* school walk-a-thons. It's a cool park in that you can make your own adventure. Walk out in the sun, play a sport on one of the courts, hang out in the pavilion, or head down to the wooded path and walk along the water/admire wildlife/feed ducks. It's especially nice that Bethel Mill has on-site bathrooms that are well-kept and stocked with toilet paper. I wish parks like Cooper River would follow suit. This park is family oriented, offers plenty of shade and sun, and has nice benches all around. I'm a fan and hope to visit more often this spring.

There is a lot of large equipment, but not a whole lot of variety or imagination in the different interactive functions. Reeves Park's playground (Phoenixville), Smith Memorial Playground (Fairmount Park), Freedom Playground (Haverford), and Aston Twp's new playground all have really imaginitive stuff, and just as large of an expanse (if not larger). I also have to give props to the Reeves Park and Freedom playgrounds for being fenced in (Smith is, but it's so big, the fence is not as containing as it could be). Kids Dream is not fenced, unfortunately, because it is a layer of safety I always appreciate, for young kids who run, and also just to keep out wandering dogs (the ones on a long leash whose caretakers aren't paying attention) or to dissuade sketchy people from hanging around (sorry but they're everywhere). There is a nearby walking trail, and it's also adjacent to township offices (shared parking lot). I do have to comment that there was a bit of litter generally around, which is never okay for a kids' playground. Also, this playground is pretty crowded. Parents seemed adequately considerate, but honestly, all the abovementioned playgrounds had a better vibe to me. Maybe because this place was built up by my recommendation and the reviews, but it wasn't as great as my expectations (and comparative experiences).

The two main issues are that number one it really doesn't have a whole lot for older kids to do as a large portion of the play items are for the maybe say seven and under crowd. Number two issue would that while I'm sure this park is a ghost town in the off season, in season it's simply too small for the number of kids/parents who are here everyday from a very early hour to a very late hour. The good stuff would be that the park has a bathroom, if you're into tennis the courts are mostly deserted, the basketball courts are in good shape even though they always were crowded and if you need something while your there you've got either Hoy's, Blitz's, The Scoop Box or the 34th Street Farm and Garden Center all right across the street. Don't get me wrong in that it's great that this place exists versus another block of condo rentals it's just that while it's nice, it just wasn't nearly as nice as the pictures online made it seem nor did it offer as much to do as I imagined. There is a very large wooden gazebo area with picnic tables and chairs in the center of it all. It's about a 20 minute drive from my home but totally worth the drive. Today sat in the grass near the football field with my dogs and took a quick nap. No one interrupted me and lots of nature to enjoy. Would recommend as a place to relax without too many people around
