I booked an appointment with See and Co. and met with Dr. Emily and her kind and attentive staff. Dr. Emily inspected my eyes and conducted a series of vision tests with me which entailed reading various letters on a screen in various sizes and clarity. In the end, she confirmed that not much had changed if at all. However, she recommended that I choose a slightly lighter prescription in one of my lenses in order to reduce the effects of stigmatism which resulted in less dizziness while wearing glasses. I like the fact that she was very detailed and tried to recommend the best solution that suited me. I was in good hands. In addition to the personalized service, See and Co. offers very high quality name brand frames. I tried some of them on until we found the right one, an aviator-type with metal frame. And due to Covid, there was a system for sampling the frames. After each sampling, the frames were placed in a basket and ready to be sanitized before being touched by the next person. In addition to that, all of the staff was wearing masks. I felt safe knowing their Covid procedures were in effect. Moving on.. my frames were made onsite so I got them sooner rather than later! I'm very happy with the quality of the lens which were made to block both UV and blue light. It's very unique in that it somehow makes everything look a little brighter and a little more pleasant.. even on darker rainy days. I'm not sure what causes that, but it's awesome. My frames also came with a magnetic attachment which enables it to double as sunglasses. You just place the shades on the front of the frames and it stays.. very convenient. I had a very disappointing experience with this optical store…read more They charged me a final amount that was more than triple the reasonable market price for the same brand and lens type, even after billing the insurance for the maximum possible coverage and adding excessive additional charges specifically on the lenses. The lenses delivered were of noticeably poor quality: inferior materials, low precision, and significant manufacturing defects, while the invoice submitted to the insurance described much higher specifications. Delivery was delayed by several weeks with repeated false promises and changes to the pickup date without justification. The staff was unprofessional, dismissive, and rude throughout the process. This pattern strongly suggests intentional overbilling of insurance companies while providing significantly inferior products to patients -- a practice that may constitute insurance fraud and/or deceptive acts under Virginia law (§ 59.1-200). I strongly recommend anyone who experienced similar treatment to preserve all documents and file a formal complaint with the Virginia Attorney General's Consumer Protection Section and/or their insurance provider.

Additionally, he had me see another eye doctor as well because he doesn't have most equipment in his facility and outsources a lot of procedures. Dr. Chong lacks patient-doc skills and is rude to customers as written by another reviewer - although his staff members are courteous. I would not trust my family or friends with this doctor and suggest you do not either.
