The staff are friendly and helpful, the eyeglass selection is amazing, and this shop takes my vision insurance! See & Co. did an excellent job remaking a pair of eyeglasses with my new reading glass prescription. I have not visited the optometrist for a vision test; I brought results from another shop. But I'm planning to give See & Co a try next year when I need my eyes checked again. Oh, and the bags are super cute! It seems I haven't had an eye exam for a few years now. Generally, I have good vision but wanted to see if I needed a new prescription and/or if anything had changed. I booked an appointment with See and Co. and met with Dr. Emily and her kind and attentive staff. Dr. Emily inspected my eyes and conducted a series of vision tests with me which entailed reading various letters on a screen in various sizes and clarity. In the end, she confirmed that not much had changed if at all. However, she recommended that I choose a slightly lighter prescription in one of my lenses in order to reduce the effects of stigmatism which resulted in less dizziness while wearing glasses. I like the fact that she was very detailed and tried to recommend the best solution that suited me. I was in good hands. In addition to the personalized service, See and Co. offers very high quality name brand frames. I tried some of them on until we found the right one, an aviator-type with metal frame. And due to Covid, there was a system for sampling the frames. After each sampling, the frames were placed in a basket and ready to be sanitized before being touched by the next person. In addition to that, all of the staff was wearing masks. I felt safe knowing their Covid procedures were in effect. Moving on.. my frames were made onsite so I got them sooner rather than later! I'm very happy with the quality of the lens which were made to block both UV and blue light. It's very unique in that it somehow makes everything look a little brighter and a little more pleasant.. even on darker rainy days. I'm not sure what causes that, but it's awesome. My frames also came with a magnetic attachment which enables it to double as sunglasses. You just place the shades on the front of the frames and it stays.. very convenient. I don't like talking to people if I can avoid it. The fact that this place uses websites/portals/texts for a lot of stuff (like making appointments and communicating my requests) is a definite plus in my book. I downloaded my prescriptions on to my phone and got glasses at another place. Was super convenient. Appointments were seen on time and doctor is nice. Plenty of designer glasses to choose from and no push to purchase from them. read more

Doctor Emily Chen. There is no one better. I use her to order my contacts on the regular. She is the best. The most caring and helpful optometrist I've ever met. Cheerful and enthusiastic all day, everyday. Smart, funny, and pretty lol. Had to add the last part in there ... just because she's my favorite. And yeah, I called her smart, because she was teaching me all about my eyes and I'm a nerd so I've done all my research about my eyes (my eyes are my best physical attribute when it comes to attracting da females) hahaha jk Anyway, she has a huge selection of glasses (frames) and can pretty much order any type of contact lenses you need. Super modern office. I am always calling and emailing her with questions!! I'm not joking - she truly is the best of the best. October 2021 - COVID Review: Dr. Emily Chen is amazing! I wish I had started being her patient much earlier! I had been going to a chain eye doctor company for awhile due to convenience, but recently decided to make the switch since customer service at my last office completely went downhill. She told me things about my eyes and how to better take care of my eyes that I had never been told in all my years of going to the eye doctor. And believe me - I've been wearing glasses ever since I was 8 years old. She is super sweet, patient, and so personable. I loved the way that the office operated and how majority of the visit could be done right from her exam room. I also appreciated how she wanted me to try on a couple different contacts first to make sure she prescribed me the right prescription. And it turns out that my previous eye doctors had been OVER prescribing my glasses and contacts. I can't recommend her and this office enough! read more

The reviews here all have 5 stars. I chose this place based on the reviews and ended up spending $1200. If you get glasses here, you'll have to visit this place multiple times, and even then, you'll eventually have to throw the glasses away. I can't trust the reviews here. read more

Dr. Emily Chen and her staff are totally cool! She is knowledgeable when explaining what the results of the eye exam mean and the staff is patient with helping you pick up the right frame. Prices were great too. I highly recommend Dr. See and her practice to anyone needing vision aids Unfortunately, I moved out of the area and the shop is a little too far from my current home. I'm afraid it's going to be hard to find the combination of competency, good customer service, and affordable pricing elsewhere. read more

Came here for an eye exam and a new pair of glasses. Their frame selection is pretty great, but a bit on the pricey side as compared to others. Dr. Kim did my eye exam and he was very thorough. we talked about my eye sights and how one side can never be 20/20 and he gave me a good explanation as to the possible reason. The front staff are also very helpful with products and advices. They don't push anything on you. I really like that there are bins on the table for the glasses you tried on, so they can sanitize it to be put back on display again. I can't wait for my new pair of glasses. Great experience at Dr. Chan's office. Wife went to get new contacts and glasses. Very friendly and energetic. She seemed passionate about her job (not like some of the corporate or franchise optometrists where doctors seem to be forced to work). Our insurance only covers contacts or glasses but Dr. Chan's office had a great deal for glasses so my wife ended up getting both. They have a package deal for $150 or $200 with a really large variety of glasses. Seems that they attend some type of conference in NY where they get trendy frames that are very affordable. Strongly recommend for anyone especially for young people. Staffs were very lovely as well. read more

I'm so excited to write this review.I came in with my son and was greeted by Susan and Dr. Emily Chen. I've been looking forward for the store to open because I needed new glasses and they have so many cute/ stylish ones. They have this special which is $130 for lenses and frame. I had already had my prescription on hand so I just needed to choose a frame and I tried on like 20 different kinds due to the help of Susan and Dr. Chen. You also can get your glasses in less than 20 mins if they have your lenses in stock. Well that's all for now. They're awesome and cheaper than any optometrist around the neighborhood. I have to say.. of all the glasses stores we went to.. this is by far the best. Their selection was sooo extensive. They looked at us, noticed our style and what glasses we were picking for ourselves and then helped pick glasses for us that matched.. was like having a personal stylist for glasses. Super patient and engaging in our decision making process. My son and I had the best time and honestly it's the coolest place for glasses in our opinion. They've got the latest and greatest styles. I first saw Dr. Ngo on 10/25/14 at For Eyes in Alexandria. I am a retired medicinal chemist who is very critical of most medical providers these days. Most do not keep up with the current literature. I was so impressed with her knowledge that when they closed that office, I tracked her to a new one in Falls Church. Later she moved to another company in Herndon and now to her new business, "See and Company" in Centreville, where she is now making me lenses for 2 computer types, driving and sun glasses using old frames that I love. The cost of these four pair was so reasonable that I may not wait until my insurance will pay for another spare pair before getting it. If I ever need to see another corneal specialist or general ophthalmologist again , I will first see Dr. Ngo-Chen first for a referral. I am pleased to see that other people, who probably are less critical of training and knowledge, also recognize how truly excellent Dr. Ngo-Chen is. read more

Ill start off by saying I'm not the type of person to leave reviews. This place blew me away. Dr Chen has a lot of patience. I've been having a very hard time getting fitted for contacts. I tried 2 different doctors and thought I would just never be able to see with contacts. It doesn't help that I'm a very particular person. At know point did she make me feel like a burden or nucence. Dr Chen spent a little over month with me trying on different contacts. She explained to me why I was having such a difficult time due to my eye shape and what she was going to do to try and counter at that. She educated me as to why I was suffering from dry eyes as well. I can wear the contacts she prescribed and see with zero issues. Dr Chen obviously really cares about her practice and her patients and it shows. The text messages the company uses for general communication makes things super convenient, the store looks beautiful inside. The "house" brand glasses are an great price and look stylish (my wife bought two pairs). Even the case they come in are unique and fold completely flat. They were m able to get me in within the hour, and I was very pleased with the service, friendliness and professionalism. Also, in the middle of a pretty plain shopping center, Dr Emily and her husband designed a fantastic looking buildout that absolutely stands out. I followed Dr. Chen from her old practice in Herndon. She is the best! She's patient and takes her time to explain what's going on with my eyes. She doesn't give me a prescription unless I feel 100% comfortable. I've had this problem with past optometrists who just let a machine spit out my prescription for me, and they've always overestimated my prescription leaving me with migraines. Dr. Chen always wants to make sure I'm happy with my prescription and will have me follow up just to make sure. Great doctor! read more
