This is a mixed review...with two separate experiences…read more (1) My husband began having weird sudden chest pains. He went to Abington ER and was told it was anxiety or acid reflux- a few weeks later, on xmas eve to be exact, the same chest pain came back. here, we found out it was from his gallbladder about to explode, and he had to be admitted on xmas eve for emergency surgery... you know..the same issue he had a few weeks back and the staff at Abington sent him home saying it was anxiety or acid refux. he is lucky his gallbladder didn't explode. (2) I went to the ER on Jan 5th, at 8am. The waiting room had 3 people in it. But it was A mess from the night before. Gross. Puke bags laying around, dirty tissues, trash all over. Long story short, i was sent him with a kidney stone and told i would pass it in a day or 2. WRONG! a few more weeks go by and i end up back in the ER. The valet guys just sit inisde... they dont come out to give you any direction. as i walked in to secruity, the girl is standing there joking around with some guy as i almost pass out in literal the worst pain ever... this time, i am shuffled ALL around. to the triage, to the internal waiting room, back to the waiting room- mind you, i was having HORRIBLE 10/10 back pain from my stone, and i had my large workbag with me. no one offered a wheel chair or to help me, as i leaned over doubled over in PAIN with this heavy bag. Eventually, ended up being put in a bed in the hallway...while puking up my guts from the pain and pissing blood back and forth to the bathroom while strung out on pain med they give me and wobbly, no one offered me a call button...anything. if i had to go to the bathroom i was on my own. kinda scary. my experience got much better once i was admitted and sent to a real room with real nurses who cared- they gave me a blanket..pillows...treated me like i mattered. they are the reason for any star on my review. ER needs to do better ....

Sorry this will be a long one…read more I have been with this practice for more than 4 years. I came here after my first psychiatrist did not offer therapy. He diagnosed me with major depressive disorder, general anxiety disorder and PTSD. Now at JSnyder, the psychiatrist diagnosed me with bipolar1 after meeting me for 15 minutes. I was shocked! I have never experienced a manic episode before. I accepted the diagnosis cause he was a professional and I was in dire need of help for my extreme depression at the moment. But I always was skeptical of this at the back of my mind. After awhile I was pushed off to a nurse practitioner bc he was promoted to Medical Director or something. After years of being on multiple antipsychotics, antidepressants, mood stabilizers and sleep aids I've had enough cause nothing was working. Everytime I told them I feel depressed they would change the meds or the dosage. I was turning into a zombie not doing anything but sitting on my kitchen stool all day. After asking everyone in my life if they ever saw me in a manic state and everyone said "absolutely not". I finally told the nurse practitioner that I disagreed with their diagnosis and wanted to get off the antipsychotic and mood stabilizer. I asked her what a manic state was and she said insomnia, lack of appetite and racing thoughts. Is lack of appetite even a symptom? This could be symptoms of multiple ailments, such as perimenopause I was going through for years. She told me the doctor who diagnosed me was highly regarded and never wrong of his assessments. She did help me wean off the meds however. Now, what I found to be highly disappointing is that they never scheduled a longer appointment with me ( usually it was 15 to 20 minutes) to discuss and reassess my diagnosis or even have a conversation of why I felt this way. They basically dropped me as a patient and said good luck. Now my new psychiatrist met with me for 2 hours to listen to my life story and disagree with the bipolar1 diagnosis. He agrees with my first doctor. He was surprised at the amount of medications I've been on. It's literally 3 pages long and that's only for the past 3 years. Not sure if he will be the one yet. I was in a rush to find a new psychiatrist so I can keep getting the antidepressant I need. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because my experience with the therapist David was very good. He has helped me in many ways.

Spent 2 appointments wasting time trying to figure out insurance issues…read more They are late for appointment times. The discussion was a waste of time. Obviously unqualified staff who are not professional in their field. I would avoid this place and find some real help. This is not it.
