Now we get a letter saying our newer roof cannot be insured due to damage. But they denied a claim to have it repaired! Mertz is running a scam. Instead of conducting a normal interview, Rich Martin accused me of lying about my previous experience with State Farm and repeatedly questioned my background in a rude and aggressive manner. I even provided proof of my former employee ID and experience, yet the disrespect continued. I was also asked inappropriate personal questions about why I moved to Texas and whether I was "on the run" from another state, which was completely out of line and had nothing to do with the position. As someone with real insurance experience and a strong professional background, I found the interaction very disappointing. A job interview should be professional and respectful on both sides. I found that to be impressive. Jennifer, the National Agent, was not pushy at all simply saying "I hope I win your trust". After three amazing hours on the phone, I decided to become a customer. Immediately, Kristin Touche, was there to welcome me by email. I had trouble completing my paperwork online because I am not up with technology so I was invited to complete my policy in the State Farm offices. I was greeted with smiles and I did more chatting than signing my policy. In fact, it was nice that Kristin Touche was excited to be insuring one of my vehicles which had been featured on film and tv. She said, I MUST SEE A PICTURE OF THIS CAR! It just so happened, also, that Kristin Touche and I have the same doctor making me feel like BFF's immediately. How often can one say that their insurance agent is their friend?
