It was one of the best decisions I made! She is a compassionate and dedicated physician who truly cares about her patients. She always took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel very comfortable throughout both pregnancies and deliveries. She is highly experienced, knowledgeable, and someone I trust completely. Her staff is also wonderful, professional, patient, and very helpful. I am very grateful for the care I received and highly recommend her!

We chose her as our ob since she's known as being less interventionalist than others in the area, but she at times was also not willing to consider some options that we wanted to explore. Appointments with her were very short, though if I had questions, she was willing to chat a little more. She let me go to 42 weeks even though I was "geriatric," which, from what I hear from others in the area, is incredibly unusual. We had wanted to explore some labor inducing methods, like stripping the membranes, which we had done with our first child. However, she said she wouldn't do it since it doesn't work. Of course, this is where a doctor's experience comes into play, but it was disappointing since we had had this option with our previous doctor. Actual labor induction was an experience - as it often is - but she certainly stepped in when the timing was right. I felt like I was in good hands even when things got very tough.

That was 12 years ago and I am still going to him, I even moved back to Queens and travel a 45 minutes to see him. He is so nice, very knowledgeable, and talks in a very calming manner asking about your life, work etc during the examination, so he takes your mind off of it and before you know it you are done! Nice clean office, friendly staff, I have never had to wait more that 10 minutes (If that) and plenty of parking.

He never rushes me, and explains every option to me no matter what I'm am going through. Im not just a number to him. He knows my name, my family, and that makes me feel good. He has delivered both of my children and has operated on my endometriosis. I have another operation with him next month and I'm completely confident that this will be successful. In addition to Dr Plancher, I have had the wonderful opportunity to meet his new associate Dr. G. I was with her yesterday and she spent 30 minutes with me going over my medical history, asking questions and explaining the surgical procedure that I will be having next month with both Dr. G and Dr. Plancher. She is a smart and caring doctor who truly wants the best outcome possible for her patients. She is extremely compassionate , and undeniably a highly educated doctor. Any patient would be lucky to be seen by either one of these doctors.

The doctors treat you respectfully and take the time to listen, suggest and they encourage questions. It took me a lifetime to find such excellent care. You won't be disappointed.

I was a patient of Dr. Farag and the only reason why I decided to be a patient of hers a year ago…read morewas because of the positive patient reviews in regard to her knowledge and care. I saw her for an annual exam November 12, 2024 and she ordered labs to be completed fasting. With my busy work schedule as a medical professional myself, I completed my bloodwork on a Saturday on November 8, 2025 at the Northwell labs in the same building their office is located. I initially attempted to complete the labs on 10/25/25 but Northwell labs couldn't proceed then because the office misspelled my last name on the lab requsition and that the lab requisition was only valid for 6 months. Not to mention the office advised me the requisition was good for a year! Almost 2 weeks after I finally completed the bloodwork, I didn't receive a call back in regard to my results. I emailed the office for an update and then received a voicemail that Dr. Farag was on maternity leave and that I needed to do a telehealth visit with Dr. Takeshige to review my results. No one from the office notified me that Dr. Farag was on maternity leave. I had communicated with the office manager, Dorey, prior to completing the bloodwork due to miscommunication between the office and Northwell labs to get my bloodwork completed on the first attempt. Dorey never mentioned to me that Dr. Farag was on leave and if a doctor will be covering in her absence. The availability to schedule the telehealth visit with Dr. Takeshige was a month after I completed the bloodwork. Literally less than an hour I was supposed to have my scheduled telehealth visit with Dr. Takeshige, I received a call from the office stating that Dr. Takeshige couldn't complete the telehealth visit to review the results because Dr. Farag ordered the labs. I was beyond frustrated at that point and the receptionist advised that if I still wanted to do the telehealth visit, it will be a $20 copay which is a complete rip off! I was advised to schedule an annual with Dr. Farag as another option when she returns to review the results with no copay. It's been difficult to get a hold to speak to someone in the office. Dr. Farag returned from leave on 12/16/25. I've sent numerous emails since she returned requesting a copy of my results and for her to call me to discuss my results. The only options I've been getting are to either schedule a telehealth appointment with a $20 copay or schedule an annual exam to review the results. No one from this office disclosed who they are when I receive email responses or when they leave me voicemails! I finally spoke with Tiarra, a receptionist, on 12/17/25, who finally agreed to email me my results. I kindly asked her if she can send a message to Dr. Farag to call me at her earliest convenience to review my results. On 12/18/25, I received a callback from the receptionist stating that Dr. Farag advised her to tell me that she will NOT call me with my results as well as the only options are to do the telehealth visit or come in a month later for the annual! I've had it with the miscommunication, unprofessionalism, and inconsiderate behavior from the staff in this office including this doctor! This has been the worst experience with a doctor's office and I agree with the other reviews stating that this practice is a money making scheme! Not to mention the fact that I did my part as a patient to complete my bloodwork before my annual was due. I don't get why I have to wait until the next annual exam to have my results reviewed ordered from the last annual exam! No doctor should ever be too busy to call their patients when they need, especially with their results! I told the receptionist to tell Dr. Farag that as a patient, I will continue my care elsewhere! They are lucky they still have patients going to their dysfunctional practice. I am officially done with this nightmare and hot mess!! Please do not waste your time going there and save yourself the run around as well as ongoing frustration!
