At the grill. Did I tell you this place is small?

Classic small town diner - 15 stools at the counter, with Scottie and Jackie running things. Cash only - so check your wallet before ordering! Menu is what you expect, with well prepared food and diner coffee. Just a great local place - a sure stop when I am in town

Awesome for breakfast! Pancake is amazing and a small is certainly shareable. They are very generous with their portions! Diner breakfast and lunch at its finest. Scottie's is a place loved by the locals. Comforting, yummy and a bang for your buck!

A little hole in the wall. An old fashioned diner restaurant in Fort Atkinson, WI. ( minus the old train car) But don't be deterred by the Main Street location; just look for the little Coke sign outside. Step on in the door and it's like "CHEERS" from the '80's! Everyone looks and seems friendlier than one might expect. Belly on up to the counter; there's 9 stools around the counter and the show is in the center. That's where the magic happens. Scottie is grilling up world class hash browns for some of his famous skillets like the veggie (peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, two eggs any style and topped with cheese if your choice. (There's Swiss, cheddar, Colby Jack, American) there's an all meat skillet and a create your own...they're all humongous and delicious. Scottie keeps his "regulars" special extras on hand like one patron had his own bottle of flavored coffee creamer, my guy loves Heinz 57 and though it wasn't one of the regular condiments found on our first visit, the next time we went back it was there and we didn't even have to ask; Jackie (Scotties sis) remembers everything and it's quite a special feel when you realize they got something just for you and remember your favs. Scottie is also famous for his pancakes... (I'll post a picture next visit) The regular is larger than the plate it's served on and two can easily share and be more than satisfied. Their flavor is light, fluffy, vanilla-ish with the perfect brown color and of course real butter and maple syrup; so "sasifying". There's bottomless cups of coffee, coke-a-cola products and did I mention the decor is all classic Coke motif...from the clock to the original 8oz bottles on a shelf, every Coke gadget you can think of. The menu has all your traditional breakfast foods; bacon, eggs, sausage, cereal, juice, toast of many choices including Raisin (my fav) , and there's a Half skillet available too because the regular size is so big you can have the rest for your midnight snack if your eyes are bigger than your stomach like mine. Scottie has specials of the day for lunch like the reuben sandwich, soups du jour, chili, classic diner food changes daily. Sad part is they are only open 5am until 1pm Monday through Saturday and closed Sunday's. If you find yourself passing through Fort Atkinson, WI, try to catch a seat at Scotties Eat More....you'll want to eat more...& more, & more & more &....

    Medium pancake on a platter.

Husband and I stopped here with 2 other couples for breakfast. We watched the cook make our breakfast. We all enjoyed the food. It took a little longer considering there is only one cook but he was friendly along with his sister who was the waitress. Small place with only approximately 20 seats. Pancakes were huge and good. Would highly recommend.

A good bit of humor is a great way to start a meal!

The listening room is cozy but the setup is nice and the acoustics are good. Drove up from IL because of the concert. The place is lovely, with a cool, quirky vibe. Got there early for eats. It was a Monday - they were open only because of the concert that evening, therefore the menu was very limited. The only reason I chose to eat there at all was because they referenced in their ticket confirmation email that food and drink was their bread and butter, so I wanted to oblige them on that score. The pasta was so so. I went as a single female. I'm pretty sure I was the only solo flier there. This is, to a large extent, a place where everybody knows everybody. I felt out of place. I've been to a number of concerts etc. on my own in the past and typically meet people that will chat and engage you. Not here. That was disappointing. The strangers I met at McDonald's and the gas station during the drive up and back were friendlier. Would not go there alone again. There is a screened porch that looks out over the river - this is where you are seated to eat. You can wander out there during intermission. The river. The river was very welcoming indeed.

The experience began with the Fireside's well-loved brunch, which felt relaxed, festive, and perfect for a Sunday outing. From fresh pastries and fruit smoothies to a generous buffet featuring chef-carved meats, Eggs Benedict, breakfast favorites, and a Bailey's Irish Cream cheesecake for dessert, brunch was a highlight all on its own. The matinee performance of A Wonderful Life captured everything audiences love about the classic story of George Bailey and Bedford Falls. The live musical stayed true to the heart of the film, celebrating kindness, community, and the reminder that every life has meaning. . The service throughout the afternoon was outstanding, and special recognition goes to Keegan, whose hard work, attentiveness, and professionalism truly stood out. Most of all, I enjoyed making a new memory with my family. The afternoon felt meaningful, joyful, and unhurried--exactly what a holiday outing should be, and one I would happily return for again.

One ordered the Steak Diane and the rest of us ordered the butterflied shrimp with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Everyone enjoyed their orders along with two excellent breads; crispy crusted white and a maple nut bread that was especially tasty. The dessert was ice cream rolled in nuts with a sweet rolled wafer, and it was excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive. The show was a mix. At times it was fun, with upbeat songs and good jokes that landed well. At other times the humor fell flat and dialogue went low. So the rating would be a 5 for the food and venue and a 3 for the show. Will definitely be back, as it's always a good experience.
