    Grilled cheese and fries.

Cute little old fashioned cafe with a classic menu. Food was delicious and affordable, and everyone was very friendly. It was the perfect place to stop and eat while wandering through the little shops in Lake Mills.

This is an excellent and quaint diner right on Main Street in Lake Mills. The service was very quick and super friendly. We had a ham and cheese omelette and also a half biscuit gravy combo. I will be back!

Passing through lake mills on my way to La Cross I stopped here for breakfast. This is in the heart of downtown small town America across from a park which made for a nice setting. The place is very old school and a throw back in time with a lunch counter, cafeteria tables/chairs and some booths. This is one of those places where all the art on the wall has a price tag on it. The menu has just enough breakfast to please most people and I opted for the 2 piece lumberjack breakfast which is two eggs, two sausage links, two strips of bacon, American frys and sourdough toast instead of the French toast, sunny side up eggs doesn't work with French toast because it doesn't absorb the runny yoke. The eggs were perfect. The bacon was tasty and crispy. The Ham was hand trimmed and off the bone. The sausage links were juicy. The toast was perfect with the American frys needing to be a little crisper. The coffee was the average diner swill which I didn't get refills and went elsewhere for a better cup. Overall this was a solid small town breakfast place that I would stop at again with no service issues to mention.

The breakfast skillet selection here is amazing. To say the least, it entered the clean plate club.

I spent my summers near rock lake and lake Mills. In returning for a day of reminiscing I decided to try our old breakfast stop as a child. Ownership has changed and the name but it still has a quaint feeling. Clean restaurant with great service. I had the shrimp platter and was served enough for 2. The potato pancakes where a wonderful surprise it was served with a salad

Farmers skillet--looks like it's SMILING haha!

My mom knows the owner, Meg, and she is such a wonderful presence!! The storefront itself is so cute, I love that it's in a little house and there's plenty of space inside for sitting, groups, and events! When we came on Saturday there was actually a baby shower happening in the main room and I thought the space was perfect for this. I ordered a glow smoothie, matcha latte, and a carrot muffin. The muffin was delicious - tasted very healthy but also sweet and was the perfect morning treat after a workout. The smoothie was also great and pretty filling. The matcha was amazing. I've had matcha at a few different places in Delafield and have not been super thrilled about them. This one was great and I would 100% recommend it - not too sweet and didn't just taste like oat milk. Meg told us that in order to serve this tea, the matcha company basically had to interview her and instruct her on the best ceremonial practices. I thought that the care the servers put into the matcha was really special. Overall, such a great space to stop by if you're in the area or are in need of a gathering place!! The servers and Meg are wonderful and I definitely recommend.

I wouldn't imagine there are seats in there but there were a couple outside!

The listening room is cozy but the setup is nice and the acoustics are good. Drove up from IL because of the concert. The place is lovely, with a cool, quirky vibe. Got there early for eats. It was a Monday - they were open only because of the concert that evening, therefore the menu was very limited. The only reason I chose to eat there at all was because they referenced in their ticket confirmation email that food and drink was their bread and butter, so I wanted to oblige them on that score. The pasta was so so. I went as a single female. I'm pretty sure I was the only solo flier there. This is, to a large extent, a place where everybody knows everybody. I felt out of place. I've been to a number of concerts etc. on my own in the past and typically meet people that will chat and engage you. Not here. That was disappointing. The strangers I met at McDonald's and the gas station during the drive up and back were friendlier. Would not go there alone again. There is a screened porch that looks out over the river - this is where you are seated to eat. You can wander out there during intermission. The river. The river was very welcoming indeed.
