The grounds of this place are beautiful with succulents, plants and flowers strewn all over. The owners of this place are friendly. At one point we didn't have a corkscrew to open the bottles of wine and we knocked on one of the trailers and was given their personal one to use. My only gripe with this place is the decor, and it isn't necessarily bad. To me it limits the choices of what you can do to the place. If you're going for a super modern, sleek, formal affair, the bright yellow kitchen cabinets and huge wall paintings of farmland are not going to mesh well at all. But if you're doing a vintage, farmhouse, barn style wedding, then this is your place! They have a men's and women's restroom, you get access to the aforementioned kitchen, there is a huge cement dance floor and this is all inside, away from the elements. Outside is like a garden oasis with archways covered in Ivy everywhere. It's gorgeous!

It's so lush with foliage and greenery and water features. Even for a larger event, It doesn't feel cramped or shoulder to shoulder. There's a huge covered patio with ceiling fans. A stage area, a bar area and dance floor space as well. My only complaint was there was only a three stall restroom and the line was humongous each time I had to use it and they are not gender neutral restrooms, so a lot of women that couldn't hold it, would just go into the mens. It was a sold out event for United health centers and everything turned out wonderful, there was enough space here for a champagne greeting table and 2 photo booths, a huge auction space etc. . I think with your vision, it can be beautifully executed here at Holland Park West. I would definitely recommend them if you need an outdoor venue.

We had so much fun, it was nice, clean, and had very friendly staff. Met the owner and her son and they were welcoming, and talked about up coming events along with her wine that we got to try. The wine was really good and each one we tried paired really well with the pieces of chocolate we got. I would recommend attending this event again, and if there's events coming up just GO TRY THEM. We were told by whoever finally responded to the security system, that the staff member was "probably on the way because they weren't calling him back". After waiting over 20 minutes, I finally received a call from someone named Parm, who said my appointment was actually scheduled on March 22nd. When I tried to explain to him that I had canceled that appointment and rescheduled for today, he immediately cut me off and told me that I needed to listen to him now. My fiance overhead his tone of voice and immediately told him that he wasn't to speak to me in that manner. Bottom line, things happen for a reason. We were unable to tour the venue as scheduled, treated very unprofessionally by the staff, and therefore decided to look elsewhere for our wedding venue.

I grew up going to Playland as a kid, and I've been able to take my own daughter there a few times…read morenow, even though we now live in Minnesota. They have made some changes since reopening a year or so ago, and this is definitely one of the best value attractions for younger kids in the Fresno area. Fridays are just $5 per person, and weekends are $10 per person; both include unlimited rides. Many of their rides are geared at children aged 3-8, but there are also some rides for older kids and adults too. Our 3 year old had a great time, and she talks about wanting to go back constantly. I don't understand why attendance is so light; I can't think of many other places (that aren't free) where a family can enjoy hours of entertainment for less than $30.
