Fantastic! I canceled my TV cable service several months ago because I stream most of the content I watch. But I missed the local news channels and some network programming. The store-bought digital antennas I mounted in windows were useless. (I live in Merced and it's just a bit too far to receive the Fresno channels I wanted.) I choose Scott based on his good review here on Yelp and I'm glad I did. He responded promptly to my initial inquiry about the installation of an outdoor antenna for the purpose of using an OTA DVR to capture signals for channels 3, 6 (PBS), 10, 13, and 31. Based on some basic research I had done, it was apparent to me Scott knew his stuff and was quit honest. He came out before the scheduled installation time to do a preliminary signal survey and test a potential antenna that we agreed was a good candidate. He took notes of the layout and we discussed various installation locations based on the roof line and signal strength. On the day of the installation he not only brought the agreed upon antenna but brought another antenna that we both thought might be a good candidate. Talk about being thorough! He then took the the time to test it. Turns out it didn't perform any better, but it demonstrates the degree he is willing to go to do for quality work and a satisfied customer. His installation was done professionally and esthetically pleasing as he took into consideration hiding lines, and placing bracing and supports in such a way to minimize their visibility. Five days after the install, he called me to find out how everything was working out with the install and was I happy with the signal I was getting with the antenna attached to the OTA DVR. Why, Yes I am! And I highly recommend Scott for your antenna or satellite installation needs. I am very happy with "cutting the cord" and having Scott install our outdoor antenna. Scott installed my large outdoor antenna ontop of my garage and ran coax for my tvs, 7 years ago. Until recently it was all working well with the exception of once the wind moved the antenna and Scott came and repositioned it. This time he started at the antenna and moved down the line to the coax, splitters, etc. to meticulously eliminate the potential problem causing me to no longer receive local channels on all but one of my tvs. He used testing equipment and was finally able to narrow it down to about 6 feet of coax cable. You won't believe what the problem was. About a week prior I had taken down some small outdoor lights and replaced them with new ones which I nailed into a header board located just above the coax cable. Yep, I pierced the cable in several places with small nails. I know, what a bonehead move!!! Scott was very kind and didn't even laugh in front of me, lol. Scott did a class A job with the installation of my Starlink satellite system. It was complicated because of nearby trees. It necessitated him climbing and installing the unit on my older antenna tower. He fashioned a bracket to fasten it to the tower. Addionally we worked together to assure a proper signal. He also troubleshooted my wi-fi. He is a busy guy so if he doesn't respond immediately he is more than worth the wait. He is also a very nice person. I've held off placing this review as I wanted to get a good picture of the antenna to include but I didn't want to simply forget over time. I'll post pictures later but I am very pleased with the installation of my television antenna. Scott was very helpful and honest with what he could achieve. I have a newer mcmansion and it doesn't have a-frame eaves for the mount shown in some of the pictures here nor a fireplace for a chimney mount. Ultimately over the phone we determined that I do have a clear shot of Sacramento from one side of my home without the neighbor blocking me. As a result he hung the antenna downward from my eave. It looks a bit odd but is more subtle than an antenna usually is which is a plus and I receive all the channels I wanted to and then some. From what my wife told me it wasn't an easy job for Scott, I had a very small crawlspace and the height he was working with wasn't easy either. I know it took a few hours and much longer than he is used to. He didn't change his quoted price which is quite reasonable and stood by his work. I wish I was home to tip him more for his extra work but hopefully this review will help. If you're looking to get away from expensive cable and look at getting HDTV broadcasts over the air then Scott is who you should call. read more

Unfortunately, I have too many trees that block the signals so an antenna will not work for me. In addition, Scott removed an old satellite dish from the roof. Scott returned my phone calls within 24 hours, confirmed our appointment before he came out, explained thoroughly what he was doing, and provided a reasonable price quote. To say that Scott is thorough would be an understatement. We live in a rural area and were concerned about getting reception because of the hills behind our house. Scott came out with a test antenna, climbed up on our roof, and discovered we could indeed get a signal with the help of an amplifier. He told us which antenna to buy that would be the best for our application. He didn't charge for this service. He came back yesterday and spent 6 hours without taking a break and did a very professional job installing the antenna and hooked it up to our two tv's. The picture is incredible! He was able to tweak the antenna so we are picking up 36 channels. After the install, he spent a great day deal of time explaining the different channels to us and even showed how we can even check the signal strength if we are so inclined. This is a great service! I cancelled cable years ago and have been using rabbit ears to get the few channels I watch over the air but adjusting, losing signal and constantly fiddling became tedious and frustrating. However I discovered Scott's Antenna service and called him for advice. He installed a powerful antenna on the roof, took great care to locate it where the signal was strongest, mounted it on a sturdy tripod support and now I get a great signal with no breaking up or problems at all. Scott is very knowledgeable, explains exactly what he can do and how to hook up the antenna for the best signal. He also let me know about Roku and how to get internet onto the TV -- I am not a big watcher -- but it is great to have the options and to get free HDTV! Between having a free over the air signal to my dvr's and streaming, I know have a better picture on my local channels and can watch thousands of others on Roku. Scott was very helpful, knowledgeable and went out of his way to accommodate my installation need. Being sick of paying over a $100 a month for 300 channels of garbage became to much for me, so I decided to go with over the air DVR's and put an antenna on my roof. I had plans for Scott to do my install because once I thought about it and found out he did installs at a very reasonable price I went with him. Unfortunately the OEM that I bought the parts from was 3 weeks late on shipping(if I would have known Scott existed I would have had him supply everything), it arrived Christmas Eve, I scheduled the install the following week, everything but the mounting bracket was shipped to me. Due to an anxious family member I was in a bind needing to get everything done on Christmas for the family, so I asked Scott if he would not mind selling me the mounting system I needed which he had in stock and he said yes and did this for me on Christmas Eve. I am so grateful for him. We had talked twice before while waiting for the OEM to ship parts to me and I can tell he knows what he is doing and has plenty of experience on doing installs. I installed my own antenna on my first house and when I was younger..lol. and studied well to get this done right, thus I know from what he said he knows what he was talking about and he even gave me sensible tips that I had not thought of. The Central Valley is lucky to have Scotts services, OTA signals are much cleaner looking then satellite or cable, both compress their MPEG video and digital audio then the signal sent over broadcast towers, I hooked up an antenna in my attic years ago when HDTV was first being broadcast and the colors are more vivid....AND FREE...LOL. I hired Scott to install my outdoor HDTV antenna I purchased from Costco - not knowing he actually has bigger more rugged antenna. He was on time and willing to mount the right way and check the best location for the channels I like. It was during hot weather day and he's definitely very thorough.
