Wanted some oysters, Scott's was a good option. Not fancy, but not fast food. They have a pretty decent catfish-centered menu, along with shrimp, oysters and the creole basics. Everything was hot and fresh, the place was clean and tables were well stocked with condiments. No complaints. I got exactly what I wanted, quick and hot, and enjoyed eating it. My husband and I go to Scott's at least twice a month. The service is great and the food is excellent. You can tell the owners' take a lot of pride in their business as the restaurant is always immaculate. I really like the LA based decor, very thoughtful and not tacky at all! The cold slaw is definitely the best and tastes so fresh. Fish and seafood are seasoned well and not too spicy and portions are good sized. Give them a try if you haven't! read more

Stopped by Scott's and ordered catfish, shrimp etoufee and catfish , greens, Etoufee tasted like tomato sauce, had not one piece of shrimp and greens must have been out of can. While visiting West Monroe we found Scott's Catfish & Seafood menu online. The food sounded good and the prices were reasonable. So, my daughter and I decided to give it a try. When first entering the restaurant you are surrounded by fantastic images relating to the city. After ordering, our food was brought to our table quickly and it was very delicious. I'm not sure where they get their bread but it was seriously extra good. While ordering our food I saw a desert they offered called "buttermilk pie". I have never heard of buttermilk pie so I was pretty intrigued. I couldn't get it off of my mind while eating. So, no longer being able to finish my food I went to the counter and asked for a to-go box and a piece of the buttermilk pie. When we got back to our hotel I tried a bite and I was pretty happy with my decision to try it. The next time I am in West Monroe I am definitely stopping there to eat and I would suggest them to anyone. Just make sure you're aware that they are closed on Sunday & Monday! read more

Great food and service!!! Stopped on our way to Florida. We had gumbo, catfish, fried pickles, and shrimp. All of it was great!

First off: the staff here was amazing. They were all kind and on top of everything. My husband ordered a three piece catfish basket and my son had the kids chicken strips. I intended on getting the salad bar but they no longer offer it. Instead I got a very small baked potato and a side salad with ranch. They bring a basket of yummy hush puppies to the table to start your meal. The french fries were delicious and we all enjoyed them. However, when the fries are thicker than the $15.00 catfish; we've got a problem. The fish was very greasy in a non-appetizing way. It really was a bummer. We really wanted to like Scott's. They look like they're going to be delicious but sadly it just didn't turn out that way. read more

If you're looking for catfish, Scott's is a good choice. The catfish is battered and fried just right. The grilled fillets are seasoned and grilled well. They are tender and moist without being fishy. Don't waist your money on the e'toufee. It was basically tasteless. The onion rings are really good. Not the best I've had, but at least in the top 3. The fantail shrimp are excellent. You can get them either fried or grilled and both are really good. We eat here at least twice a month. I would recommend Scott's if your looking for good catfish and shrimp. read more

I came home to visit family for the weekend, and it's time to take them out. So we were deciding between Sam's or Scott seafood. We decided go with Scott after talking to a friend. First enter the restaurant, it seems like a family owned. We ordered fried catfish with oysters platters and a grill fish platter. After the food arrived, we were kind of disappointed with the food portion for the price we paid. The oyster was mini-size. I don't know I got spoiled by big D food or I am just hungry. The food is decent but could use more variety. There should be more vegetables. There was a good chicken in a sweet sauce that they should bring back. There aren't enough people cleaning and checking on the tables so people end up leaving when they can't find a seat. I really hate the childsized cup they give you if you get a water. It is insulting. I have told employees about this and I have heard some one else complain about it but just gotten brushed off. I guess they don't understand about feedback from customers and respecting the customer. I know it may not seem like a big deal, but the dining room is small and the drink area is in a crowded spot and it is not convenient or pleasant to have to make trip after trip for water and work your way around the people in line because you're drink is "free". read more

Well, what do you want me to do about it? That was the answer from the young man/adult that was taking food orders. Orders are taken when you enter along with the people leaving and trying to pay. I was leaving after my first visit and I was trying to explain, with out sharing my complaint with the group that was coming and going. No one needs to be bashed in public for a one time mistake or if my taste is off. A polite heads up should always be welcomed. You can guess where this is going. The rice product was nasty. Every plate was being trashed with the rice intact. The service on the dining room floor was wild. The young girl was going super fast and trying to please every one solo. The next visits she was the same except the third or fourth time she was overloaded and was missing some, but still giving it all she had! It was the last time that I ate there, that once again the rice was nasty. I decided to speak with the manger about it. I understood that a young couple owned this catfish place and one in Ruston. When I asked if I could speak with the mgr I was told to wait and I did. Several minutes pasted , even though there wasn't any one left eating, when a older lady came out with cooking clothes on. She was humble and nervous when I asked if she was the manger. She stated that she was today. I asked if she was the manger all the time and she replied that they took turns. I asked what did she normally do and she smiled and I'm the cook. I knew that she had been forced to come out. When I told her that most of the meal was good, she smiled and giggled a little. When I complained about the rice she said that she knew it was bad and hung her head. She added in a low breath, as so the other 3 or 4 people that were hiding in the back would not hear, that it was made in the other store and the owners knew about it but would not change . I've tried several times she said. The young people came back out after I left. Scott needs to fix his ship, this is where it starts and in a while, ends, I don't want to waste my food for a meal that you can buy almost any where now days. One and one half stars. read more
