I had heard about this place red fish étouffée. So I was excited to try it out unfortunately they were out of it when I got there. So I started with a water that didn't have a great taste to it. I ordered the raw oysters as an appetizer. They were OK, but I felt like something was off a little bit. For my meal, I decided to go with the fillet they came with a salad with three shrimps on it and a seafood potato. I noticed the seafood potato was out first and just sat there for about 15 minutes, but the time I got to it, it was a little bit cold. Not many options of dressing it did come with three shrimp on top. Those shrimp were probably the best part of my deal. The steak came cooked right I was not a fan of the sauce underneath it and the flavor was a little too peppery for me. I am usually a salt and pepper guy, but this was a bit much with the Pepper. So overall, the food was just OK until I left and get back to my hotel where I got sick. If I had to guess I would say it was the oysters I knew something was off. Great Seafood, But Service Needs Work I've been to this seafood spot a few times, and the food is always amazing -- fresh, flavorful, and well worth the money. The crab legs and shrimp are some of the best I've had in a long time, and the portions are generous. That said, the service during my last visit was really disappointing. Our server, Ashley, forgot our food more than once and seemed irritated whenever we asked for help or updates. Everyone can have an off day, but the attitude and lack of attention really took away from what should've been a great dining experience. I'd still recommend this place for the food alone, but I really hope management takes a closer look at improving customer service. Most of the time it's a 50/50 shot but it's so good when it's on, I'll take a bad one every now and again. I have been to numerous restaurants that offer fish on the menu, which to me was a uniquely vague term that could mean just about anything swimming in water, so I asked the waitress if it was catfish and she said yes.
