Scott's cleaned an 8 x 10 area rug for us a few months ago. I love that they are a local family owned business. We previously had a bad experience with a larger company who tried to clean this rug while leaving it on the floor, damaging the hardwood floor in the process. Scott's picked up the rug the day after I called and delivered it back to us 2 days later with great results and a reasonable price. We will definitely use this company again. read more

It takes really, really bad service to make me write a negative yelp review. In the past ten years I've only written 25 yelp reviews and only 4 of them were negative. So for me to sit down at 7:30 on a Thursday morning before work.. I have to be pretty disgusted. Scott's didn't clean my rug. They promised to do a service and then backed out (although I'm not thrilled about that, that's not why I'm writing this review). What was unacceptable is the owner of the company stood in my house and basically called me a liar. I own a small business too, and I encounter misunderstandings all the time. But when I told him we were told our rug would be picked up Friday and returned on Monday- he told me that we were never told that. We were. In fact, we had called back to confirm what time Monday they would return the rug. When I pointed that out to Scott, he just talked over me and said "I own the company and you were never told that." He continued to be rude until my husband said "let me escort you out of the house." I'm starting to realize that there's a reason the other carpet companies in town have hundreds of favorable reviews and this one has six. Be warned.. these people are unreliable and unpleasant to boot. read more

They arrived at exactly 9:00 am which was our appointment time and were in and out in just a couple hours. They padded everything and took great precautions to protect my floors and molding. I am following up on the review from Miss K. on 12.20.18. My response is to Jon, the son of Scott, the owner. I am the assistant who you mention in your comment. I take offense to your mentioning that I hadn't properly relayed a message about the rugs. Jon, your father never indicated in any conversation he and I had that there was a misunderstanding about the rugs being picked up and taken away to be cleaned. It is correct that in the initial conversation with April on the phone, the discussion was for the company to clean a single shag rug at the house. In a subsequent conversation with April, I had relayed from the homeowner that previously, the rug had been picked up from the home, deep-cleaned offsite and returned to the home. April informed me that in that case, instead of cleaning the carpet onsite this Friday, that the rug would be picked up between 11:00 & 11:30 on Friday and returned on Monday. I then called to say the rug needed to be returned by 12 noon. My employer (Miss K) heard that phone call so I am not making that up, or anything else in this review. The next contacts were all direct from Scott via phone calls and or messages from him. In the first on those contacts, Scott never said anything to the effect of "We never clean rugs offsite." He simply said he would clean the rug onsite, asking if the homeowner had a concrete driveway and that he would clean the rug on the driveway, bring it back into the house once the backing was dry (because the rug sits on a hardwood floor), and that a multi-directional dryer would be placed to dry the rug and within about 15 minutes, the rug would be pretty dry. At some point my employer asked me to check with them about the possibility of cleaning a second rug, the same size as the first rug, but a wool, tufted rug. I asked in a voicemail message and wanted to confirm whether or not it could be done, if it could-the price and timeframe. Things seemed to go downhill from there. The next thing I know, Scott is speaking with me over the phone telling me he needs to come see the rugs to make sure they can even clean them and that he doesn't want to arrive "blindfolded" (yes, he used the word "blindfolded" in this and a subsequent conversation), not knowing what work was in front on him. I never explained the rugs to be anything other than what they were, neither is size and style. My employer made arrangements at Scott's request to meet with him at their home at 7:30am this morning for him to see the rug(s) and discuss his ability (or not) to be able to clean the rug(s). Though I wasn't there, it is my understanding that he was rude to my employers and talked over them throughout most of the time he was there. It was an argumentative, "he said, she said" interaction. My employer eventually escorted Scott out of their home and will never seek to do business with them. I followed up with a call to April (Scott's wife) this morning and quite similarly, she bulldozed me nearly from start to finish in the conversation, making accusations and then talking non-stop, not letting me even respond to her accusations. I take pride in my work; in being thorough, cordial and professional- things Scott's Carpet Cleaning company apparently does not. They may do an amazing job at cleaning carpets. We will never know because we would never use them at this point nor recommend them to anyone. They are unprofessional in how they relay information and interact with customers. And to Jon I would add- If you think being a small family run company means you need to be any less professional any less accountable for doing good work, you are mistaken. We are also a small business and know we have to work just as hard or harder (because we need to and want to) as/than the bigger companies. We don't get a pass on being rude and/or unprofessional. While we won't do business with you, we wish you well. read more

All I can say is, "Amazing!" They brought back my kitchen tile and grout to it's original condition. My carpets look bright and clean and smell great. I thought my bedroom carpet was wool but Scott's proved that it was nylon and safe to clean the normal way. It now looks great. My arm chair, which I could not clean myself, came out fantastic. The father/son team worked hard and they have a wonderful, professional manner. I have already recommend them to two of my friends. read more

We have used Scott and his sons for many years and could not recommend them more highly! They are friendly, professional and very thorough. They have done our carpets and area rugs as well as couches and a window seat cushion and every time it is amazing how clean and beautiful they turn out. Scott is very knowledgeable and will know what to do with the different fabrics and rugs. They are on time, work hard and have powerful equipment in their van which deep cleans the carpets.
