Long honeymoon:) It was a destination wedding and I traveled to AZ from WA several times prior to wedding and had a meeting with Mike, as well as other vendors. He was recommended by my wedding coordinator. Besides meeting face to face, we exchanged several emails. I was very particular about all my wedding details and Mike was very accomodating and easygoing. For the wedding itsef, Mike dressed in a tux and did a fantastic job. Rich performed my sister's wedding and things seemed to be going great until a week before the wedding, at which point he informed us that he refused to play the requested last song because it was "too vulgar." There are a few things wrong with that behavior: 1. Why did he wait until the last minute to tell us this? This is clearly a red flag, but we weren't able to find a replacement on such short notice. 2. It's not his wedding, we're purchasing his DJ services, why is it ok for him to veto our music choices? After informing us of this restriction, we asked him if there were going to be any other songs he refused to play, because most popular songs these days are explicit in some form or another. He told us that he wouldn't block any others. It turns out he said this because he ended up playing severely edited versions of popular music, which sounded terrible. In what world is the word "sex" vulgar? This man is clearly projecting some misguided beliefs onto his audience, to their detriment. And if that wasn't enough, he had the gall to call out one of the groomsmen about "bailing out" on the best man speech. The groomsman wasn't the best man (there was no best man), and he wasn't going to make a speech in the first place. We have no idea where Rich got this into his head, but he embarrassed the groomsman who then felt obligated to come up with something on the spot. Just really shamefully behavior on Rich's part. If you want a decent level of production for a G rated wedding, you could probably do worse than Rich. But if you're an adult that likes to listen to music unedited and would prefer the DJ keep his silly opinions to himself, you should steer clear of Rich Mancini.

The photos were top quality for a VERY reasonable price. We loved the photos so much we had them back 2 years later (last week) to do a twilight shoot of our home. They drove from Phoenix to Sedona for the twilight photo shoot and were again very reasonable in pricing. They did exactly what we asked and edited the photos to perfection. The photos are absolutely amazing!! Even better? They sent the finished photos to us in record time. We were so pleased! Highly recommend.

Hugely disappointed with the customer service at the face painting/balloon station your company…read morehosted at our community event. We were given a "last in line" sign at 2:45 where I clarified will they stop at 4 or with us then. I was told with you. Then at 3:30 we were given a number and told if you have a number you're getting your face painted. At 4:15pm we were told, with only two kids in front of us, we'll just be able to do snowflakes only due to time. With one child in front of us, after being reassured we weren't wasting 2 hours, we were told at 4:30p okay I have to go and here is a temporary tattoo. It's one thing to let us know we don't know if we'll get to you at 2:45 when the "last in line" sign was handed to us but we were repeatedly reassured we would be able to get face painting for our kids. I'm not sure what purpose a "last in line" sign serves if that person isn't going to be served, or the numbers handed out afterwards. Improve your customer service.

I was a bridesmaids in my cousins wedding. BRIDES BEWARE!…read moreAnd keep in mind! No hooks to hang anything. Dusty closet with spiderwebs and trash left over from a previous party. Dust on large mirror leaning against the wall, they told her to keep the dress hanging there. It rained... ceiling has multiple leaks! They brought out Home Depot buckets on tables where guest were standing during cocktail hour. No towels/ no fans/ 1 mop/ 1 broom. Water and mud all over the floors, with no way to clean it up. The tent/ reception. The staff were not helpful at all. The bride, my cousin and her husband had their sweetheart table flooded. My poor cousin's feet were soaked when she tried to sit down at her table to eat dinner. My Uncle, bride's father, kept asking staff to help mop up the floor so guest would not slip. He was pissed since he had to keep trying to find somebody who could actually help. They did not even bring out towels and said they had no more mops to help clean up the puddles. I don't know if they're used to hiring young kids who aren't trained outside of serving food, set up and teardown... Just make sure you have a wedding coordinator to help make everything go smoothly. Staff did not help with anything. Staff shrugged and said let me ask. No towels, fans, blow dryers, then ceiling had multiple leaks, one old bathroom, where all the guests were in the same room as the couple taking their pictures during cocktail hour. When it was all over, she cried, and understandably upset with how everything was handled. I don't want anyone else to ever feel that way.

There are 2 sides & we chose the side with the red brick reception area and it truly was perfect. When we initially toured the venue we worked with Katie and then all of our subsequent planning meetings were with her up until our very last meeting 10 days prior to the venue. She is very knowledgable, but can be impatient and a bit snappy at times, especially if you ask questions or don't quite understand what she means the first time she says it. My husband and I felt this was somewhat off-putting, but rolled with it anyways because what are you gonna do? Our final meeting 10 days before the wedding we worked with the 1st person outside of Katie, and it was Gerardo. Gerardo is INCREDIBLE. He was patient, kind, and really went the extra mile to ensure we not only understood all of the moving parts but also felt comfortable and excited about the most special day of our lives. We asked him if he could be our day of coordinator and he arranged it so we actually worked with him at both our rehearsal and our wedding day. He is the reason this review is 5 stars. On the day of our wedding we had an issue with the arch we had rented and when he came to tell me about it he already had a solution so all I had to do was OK the course correction instead of problem solve a stressful situation on my wedding day. Our banquet captain was also incredible (I can't remember her name but we connected over Fourth Wing the book - she'll know who she is!) and really took care of us after Gerardo left. We also utilized the DJ and bartender provided by the venue. Our DJ was great, but our bartender was super drunk and taking shots in front of my guests when he should have been serving them. Probably something the venue could look into to prevent the next couple/guests from having to deal with that. All in all, the day was more beautiful and fun than I could have ever imagined, and I am really thankful we were able to work with Gerardo and our amazing banquet captain because they really went above and beyond!

Absolute nightmare of a videographer - exactly what every bride fears is paying and trusting a…read morevideographer to never get your footage. We hired Fred for our wedding and from the moment he arrived he instantly had issues with other vendors. To the point I had to step in and tell him to stop after a female vendor told him no multiple times. He created a 5 minute video that missed really important things like 1. My dad walking me down the aisle 2. No video of our parents 3. No first dance with son/mom etc... the list was long. I asked for the video to be updated with these key moments (which had been requested before I even hired him) and he told me he would charge me for each additional edit even though I never agreed to this terrible final version of a video. He then continued to harass me via email until my Husband stepped in. We requested he stop all work on the video and send us our raw footage and we would call it even. He then sent us less than an hour of an 8 hour day of footage. Guess why he was fighting us on adding those key clips - because he didn't actually video them. This was absolutely devastating to us and on top of it all we had to deal with Fred being unprofessional. Also an important note, he kept referring back to his contract that had none of the things he was requesting additional payment for in there. We are now having to take legal action to get our video footage ... if it even exists.

Fred captured so many moments of our wedding that we will be able to cherish forever! We were on the fence whether or not to spend the money on a videographer, but after we found out Fred did such an amazing job at our family's wedding, we knew we would regret it if we didn't hire him!
