WARNING - UNPROFESSIONAL - BAD SERVICE!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! This was the worst experience and…read moremoney spent (Clemenza Quinces - Nov 11, 2023) Upon signing the contract with the venue, it was agreed that Regal Palace Ballrooms would upgrade the chairs in exchange for not utilizing the floral arrangements and stage. We understand that this isn't normally done, as they have mentioned several times, but we signed the contract with your venue BECAUSE the chairs were being upgraded, among other things. 80% of these upgraded chairs were wobbling or broken, to which, the employees shrugged it off, and only offered 10 replacement chairs. We had to spend an hour fixing the chairs to the best of our ability. And not only were the chairs broken, there was a broken table setup, thankfully we caught this before the event started and were able to get the table replaced.  The venue was also supposed to provide my 120 guests with appetizers. Those appetizers never made it to the event. An employee then advised my aunt that appetizers were not a part of the package we chose, and later realized her mistake and retracted her statement. She then coerced my aunt by offering to set off an additional set of cold sparks, while dinner was being served and it was clear that no appetizers would be given. This has NO MONETARY value, it also didn't feed my 120 guests. Just so that you all know, the cold sparks are included in the package, all they did was press a button for it to go off again. It literally had no monetary value for them to do again since the cold spark machine was already there. We paid for an Hora Loca, a recommended vendor by this venue that was supposed to be an hour long, starting at 10:30pm until 11:30pm. The performance started at 10:40pm, and the performers walked out of the venue at 11:14pm. The HORA Loca lasted 40 minutes. This cost an additional $1000, AND it is another service that didn't perform to what was agreed upon with the venue.  The included DJ had our Quincenera in literal tears. He played an instrumental version of the surprise song, and then when the Quincenera asked for it to be corrected, he took an approximate 15 minutes to figure it out. It was humiliating for the Quincenera on her special day, a day that only happens once. He repeated the same songs several times. It was very disappointing. Lastly, Regal Palace Ballrooms, states that they are going to provide you with a PREMIUM LIQUOR package. This was a HUGE part of us signing with the venue. Imagine our surprise to find that the premium liquor was all watered down. Several guests approached my aunt, Maria Clemenza, with complaints and comments about the watered down alcohol. After complaining and arguing with both the bartender and another employee who I believe was a manager, both who were unable to provide or show us a bottle of alcohol that was sealed, they agreed that the beverages were watered down. The manager went to a liquor store nearby and purchased a single new bottle of Vodka, but there was no remedy for any of the other liquors provided. I have several witnesses that could attest to this, including a lawyer. As I mentioned to your employee it is ILLEGAL to serve alcohol that has been tampered with, it is also unethical. I have written to the venue for some sort of refund on the premium liquor and apps and they haven't responded... they said they were going to research what went wrong... um, WHAT RESEARCH...? That was the weirdest response.. I am going to go ahead and assume that they are going to ignore my complaints. The worst of it is that they have literally POSTED our event like it is something that we were proud of.. WE DID EVERYTHING OURSELVES.. THE CHAIRS ARE NOT THEIRS, THE STAGE IS NOT THEIRS, THE CHARGER PLATES, SILVERWARE IS NOT THEIRS, THE FLOWERS WERE NOT THEIRS, THE VASES WERE NOT THEIRS, THE CHOREOGRAPHY WAS NOT THEIRS. I could literally go on and on about what went wrong, but I think this gets the point across.

Hush way were many were not notified that the sale was coming, but later even our minister claimed that they had. church insiders. People that actually worked for the church were very vocal. About how it was all being kept hush-hush and how they were seeking to get majority vote by using their own staff. Choir and others like. The Head of the church organization or its chairman I believe was His title Tried to make us all believe that the voting was honest and even prior to the voting in some of the in person. Seminars, they would block those that had any objections or legitimate questions. . by being a low level bank employee. He thought he was on authority in telling many of the low level members of the church. That in fact, he could predict the real estate market and how it was going to go down. It hasn't gone down and it became unaffordable to replace this property that was sold. Nevertheless, the night of the voting new requirements were placed that had not been announced, making it impossible for many to speak or say anything at all much less Vote. The Agreement to Sell went through mostly based on employees. A few very elderly members that were not capable or of their wits in order to lot of corruption. leaving tens of millions of dollars sitting in a bank account that are not being accessed. It is a shame because unity was a very nice place to go to accept that. When you consider what occurred, you must be very sad and doubting the persons behind it and behind the church itself, especially the minister. Most people were very upset, but most people didn't want to lose. The little club which is what this place felt like. It's important also when you choose someone to be a minister to choose. Not the person who wants to be a minister or who has a particular talent. But a person that is mature in their spirituality. the minister we had at the time was absolutely not mature in his personality was very self-conscious and. Was in my opinion, just overall week in the spiritual area. by way of example. He had a couple of attractive gay men speak at different times about their life. And how they became better from being a unity. one of them spoke about how he found the love of his life. And how he had a wonderful new job and was driving a very pretty jaguar and was hoping soon to buy himself. A Bentley when he made the money for it. another one got up and told us basically how ridiculous it was that somebody is gorgeous as him thought that he was meaningless. It got to a point that the supeddie all this place was Overshadowing this year entertainment value. That's some of us were getting out of it, which was utterly lacking in spirituality and which warranted reprimands for their attacks on the Catholic Church. it continued beyond this when they began to move from one location to another because they just could not afford a new place And values have skyrocketed well beyond the level. They were at when the church building was sold. Who knows where that money is today and if it is really there . I could tell you that many years before. The minister at the time was Chris Jackson. This is the one I am referring to. And he did retire from the ministry. As a very young man. his salary was set to be around $200000 a year when he was there.. the membership went down considerably because I believe that a lot of people noticed his superficiality. Most people actually went to this church. If you could call of the wonderful music Sunday morning service. the talks were interesting clearly either. Chris Jackson was a good speech writer. Or somebody wrote this for him. the prior minister was exceptno and they had a lady minister whose name escapes me, who was maybe not as Abbott a speaker, but a very spiritual person whose spirituality came across as natural and real. this is what you need in life. I would ask members to get together and make calls to the state. Attorney General of Miami Dade County, Catherine Fernandez rundle and to the state Attorney General for the state of Florida and demand an investigation of where this money is. Who voted for this sale? What last minute issues and obstacles were raised and how this led to even more people, leaving the church than those that had already left under Chris jackson.

They had a few Gibson brands, but not many basses, which is cool, but my hubs plays the bass so that is what I always look for at any music-focused place. The party itself - pretty fun. Good music, live & DJ, and great drinks. Unfortunately I didn't get the name of the vodka which I loved (the raspberry one). It is a pretty open space. I'd love to see a note with some story on the guitars displayed - more museum like, I know - but that's what I like... I'm too curious to just look.

The showroom is located inside a building that contains many other businesses in the Design District. As typical of buildings in the Design District it was cool. I was not impressed with the acoustics of this place for the band that played at this particular party. The wide open, unfurnished place made it so one could only hear the music. Lol I looked at their website before tonight's event and was very impressed with the photos of previous events at this venue. A man with white gloves opened the doors for us. The food was delicious. I met a guy who said he has been to two weddings here and they were both awesome. This is a great space and very large. You could configure the space however you want. It sounds like they really work with you for your unique needs. Their sound system is amazing. They even had tacos for us when we left!! This place is super fun and hip. If you are ever invited to an event here, I cannot see where you would have a bad time.
