Went here with a friend for lunch on a Tuesday. We wanted to go to Florence's but it is closed for renovations. When I was here about a year ago for Saturday breakfast with some friends, it was buzzing. By contrast, we were seated immediately and the dining room never got more than 75% full while we were there. It seems that weekday lunch might be a good time to avoid the crowds. I ordered the shrimp and grits, while my friend ordered the power bowl. I got the gravy on the side because I didn't want more richness than butter and cheese. After tasting the gravy, I made the right decision. The grits were buttery and cheesy and creamy. I added some pepper to balance the richness and umami, but otherwise they were better than I can make at home. The shrimp were jumbo size as advertised on the menu. The seasoning on them was slightly sweet and spicy. I could have done with some stronger spice to balance the umami and richness of the grits, but otherwise they were also delicious. I really wanted a vegetable side to go with this dish, but after paying more than $25 for this main dish, I didn't have enough money in my lunch budget for some turkey flavored collard greens. Maybe they could have a sub-menu with smaller portions and smaller prices to make it possible to try a main dish and two sides for less than $25. My friend said that the power bowl hit the spot for him. Potatoes were not in the menu description, but it came with some fried breakfast potatoes. I don't know how receptive they would be to a request to submit the potatoes for extra veggies and/or protein. Anyway, after the pizza place closed, it's great that at least one restaurant is anchoring this shopping center. read more

I finally made my way to the east side to try Scrambl'd upon entering I saw a familiar face. Unc I was super excited to see him, I know him from another restaurant I use to visit frequently. Although my waitress wasn't as personable as him it wasn't a big issue (I still tipped). I first would like to give the owner and team a big kudos, the FOOD IS DELICIOUS! The pancake is huge and out of this world. You won't find this pancake ANYWHERE in Oklahoma City. the pork chops are seasoned to perfection lots of different herbs, I loved the variety of herbs. The portions are very much worth the price, I have no complaints there. To see such a Gem in the heart of the east side is something to respect. Like any other demographic the east side deserves businesses of quality like this. Now as for the people what are we going to do to make sure Scarmbl'd is a everlasting staple? For myself I drove 30 minutes to try it, no distance will stop me from supporting this Gem. The ambiance was on point, I heard music as I walked up to the entrance door. I jammed out to lauryn hill and Mary j blige as I waited for my food. The decor is nice, the seating and space is great. As I walked up I saw an outside section, it's super cold right now not sure if they use it or not. I'll be back as it gets warmer. My only issue would be to have continuously conversations with the waiters and waitresses about customer service. They are the first representation of a business. It can make or break a business. People travel from all over to enjoy this experience! PLEASE DO NOT LET That experience BE CLOUDED BY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. We tried coming here when they first opened but had no luck due to the wait. So we came back a few months later and they seemed to slow down a bit. I did use the waitlist on Yelp but it didn't matter. We had a good welcome from the host. Our server was also friendly. The food was delicious. Good portioned too. The wings can be its own thing, so good. The pancakes were crispy yet fluffy. I had the breakfast chops and eggs and I was pleased. I did recognize the seasonings on the chops since I do a similar one but with chicken. One of the chops was more tender than the other one. I've been meaning to try this place for so long after seeing the hype all over Instagram and TikTok! It was quite busy, considering we decided to visit the day after Thanksgiving. Arrived at 1100a, and we were seated immediately. It can get a little rowdy, but that's expected at a popular brunch spot. I started with a vanilla latte. Delicious. I was overcharged for alternative milk, however it was such a minuscule mistake, so I didn't want to make a big deal and went with it. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach. I ordered the Deez Shrimp & Grits ($24), Lobster Mac n Cheese ($17), and House Potatoes ($4). I'd agree that the food is quite pricey for what it is, but maybe it's to compensate for the location? I'm not sure. The shrimp and grits were my favorite. Super creamy and buttery, and the shrimp was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The lobster mac n cheese was just okay at best. I could've done without it. It's half a cooked lobster tail ON TOP of the mac n cheese. I think I would've enjoyed it better if there were lobster bits mixed into it. Lastly, the house potatoes were cold and soggy when they arrived, a bummer. Overall, the experience was positive. I think I'd come back, the staff was great and the food was not terrible. I love the location on the Eastside! It's a beautiful exterior and interior with plenty of seating in a reduced setting. Immediately upon entering I was greeted by front desk. Thankful I had reservations but it appeared it was a good time for walkin service as well. Once I was seating the waiter came and introduced themselves and bought coffee and water. Once the rest of my party arrived I noticed the music was kinda loud, it was difficult to have a conversation but when the food came out, nobody was talking..lol Overall I give this place five stars the food was hot and tasty. They have Hennessy on tap, that's a first, but I love it! We arrived around 9:30 so I wasn't ready for hard liquor but I'll be back for a later brunch whenever I'm back in OKC! Our servers were both fun & attentive! Let me tell you, this Mac and cheese! Hands down top 3 I've ever had, especially from a restaurant! We had a side instead of the regular lobster mac but that was truly delicious, nothing was left in that bowl! And it was a good size portion because we split it with the Luther burger. Which was decent. They use Dunkin' Donuts which are not my favorite and seem to be a little small for the burger overall but other than that it was good, may need a little sauce. I've wanted to try this place since it opened. I was not disappointed. The menu had a good selection including gluten free and vegetarian options that were clearly marked. The place was cute and clean, the music selection was great, the staff were friendly. If you go on Sunday, I highly recommend getting there before 10:30 am because afterward it gets packed! The food was really good and the menu was creative. My only complaint was how slow the service started out being but we realized that they were waiting on a couple more staff to show up because serve improved drastically after they arrived. I came here with 3 friends yesterday (Saturday) for brunch. I arrived at 11:30 am and then added my party to the waitlist. It took an hour for us to be seated, and rightly so - the place was packed! The ambience was on point - great popping music and decor was tasteful, modern, bright, and clean. We all ordered versions of The OG Breakfast which consisted of a choice of waffles, pancakes, or french toast with bacon, sausage, and choice of eggs. I also ordered the lobster mac and cheese, which was a lobster tail served on a bowl of macaroni and cheese. The eggs were delicious, so was the pancake, sausages, and bacon. The drinks were incredible. Two of my friends ordered the Strawberry Lemon Drop, which was Hennessy, Lemon Juice, and Strawberry Juice. They absolutely loved it and said they would come back just for this drink. I ordered a mimosa, which was tasty. Although our waitress was friendly towards us, we were all shocked to find all of our bills were off, mostly by the $10 gratuity added when we were asked to tip on the electronic payment reader- so there were 2 tips total added onto our bills. My friend was incorrectly charged extra $5 each for "extra potato" and "extra bacon" that she did not order. Thankfully we all paid attention to the charges on our receipts and asked to have it changed. This was our first stop in Oklahoma from Texas and we showed up 35 mins before closing. I didn't notice til we got there and found myself apologizing to one of the guys who greeted me. He made it a point to tell me they close the kitchen 30 mins before close and that he wasn't trying to be rude but if we can quickly order.
