So he decided to make an early afternoon reservation at RH Rooftop for the two of us. From the moment we got up there, it felt so comfortable. There's a genuine energy that pours into this establishment. Demi, our server, was down to earth and kind enough to give us her insight on the dishes she loved. I got the American breakfast, it was delicious! Can't ever go wrong with a classic plate. My fiancé ordered the Italian Benedict, it was rich and savory and beautifully put together. We also got two mini lobster rolls with caviar on them!! That was a really cool and delicious experience The dessert was out of this world! We got the butterscotch creme brûlée (it literally says no words underneath this on the menu, and it's true, NO WORDS!) and the espresso and ice cream dessert. I chose RH Rooftop for my birthday dinner expecting a memorable evening, but it turned into one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had. It started with the confusing water service. Everyone is asked what type of water they'd like, only to be told the entire table has to choose the same option. Once we agreed to bottled water, they just kept bringing out $10 bottles without asking if we wanted more. Our appetizer took forever because we were told the first batch of artichokes burned. Ironically, the replacement order was burnt too. The restaurant was also out of what seemed like half the menu, including the lobster tail I originally wanted. I was talked into ordering the king crab legs after asking about the portion and being told I'd receive three large legs. Instead, I received two tiny legs that certainly didn't look like a half-pound, and they weren't even grilled as requested. The biggest issue was the steaks. Both filet mignons ordered by my husband and another guest were served well done instead of medium rare. We were actually told the restaurant's "blue lighting" was making the steaks look overcooked and that under a different light in the kitchen they were medium rare. That explanation made no sense, especially considering RH Rooftop has a glass ceiling and walls of windows. The staff even admitted other guests had been making the same complaint all week. When the replacement steaks finally arrived, they were clearly cooked correctly without any "special lighting," proving the originals were indeed overcooked. By the time my husband's and the other guest's replacement steaks arrived, the rest of our party had finished eating, and it was nearly closing time. To top it off, an automatic gratuity was added to our party of six without it being mentioned, and after paying our bill we stepped onto the patio for a quick birthday photo. Within minutes, a staff member came out and told us, "We close at 9, so if you guys could wrap it up, that'd be great." Not once did management offer a sincere apology or make any effort to compensate us for the numerous mistakes. For a restaurant with RH Rooftop's prices and reputation, I expected much better service and hospitality especially for a birthday celebration. The atmosphere feels elegant! I mean, we are sitting in a glass atrium with a fountain in the middle! Service was impeccable. The fried artichoke starter is a MUST. I've been here several times and always order this and it's always a hit. The burrata was tasty, though they really don't give enough of the croquettes to finish the burrata and tomatoes. The chicken sando wasn't what we expected. With the term "sando" we were thinking it was like the Japanese style sandwich. So that was a little disappointing, though it still tasted pretty ok. The RH Burger wasn't anything special so unless you're dining with a picky eater, I'd recommend other dishes. I really enjoyed the shrimp vegetable salad, but I don't believe it's still on their menu. I'm told they change out items monthly. The Chinese chicken salad is a popular dish and i can see why. It's a tower of flavor that's worth a try. And lastly, we ordered a lobster roll with caviar. It was REALLY good. Brunch was a great experience. We arrived at 10a on a Sunday for a table for two with no reservations. We were seated right away. Service was top tier; ordered drinks quickly and offered a selection of water. We chose filtered. Brunch menu was petite but everything looked inviting. I landed on the scramble with a side of bacon and a cappuccino. My friend ordered the Italian Benedict and lemonade (fresh squeezed). The food was exceptional. We greatly appreciated the cool, relaxing atmosphere. Love the big windows and pretty planters. Makes it feel as if we weren't in OKC in a way. Was really excited to try RH rooftop! I've been in the store and walked in the restaurant because I was curious but decided I wanted to try brunch. I made a reservation on open table and ended up being late but was able to push to a new reservation because they weren't too busy. They have a pretty big menu that included more than just brunch options. Our waiter was so patient as we couldn't make up our minds. I decided on the lobster roll and paired it with truffle fries. Both were fantastic, I think $20 for truffle fries was a bit too pricey in my opinion but overall I enjoyed both. My meal in total was $56 not including tax. This restaurant is atop a beautiful building in the great and growing OAKS. I made a reservation for four weeks in advance. We were there on a Thursday evening and the place was full. Note going in that this is going to be an expensive meal. While the food is good, I felt like I was paying for the unique experience that RH Rooftop offers. The appetizers were the best part of the meal. We started with the artichokes and the burrata. The marinated artichokes were fried to a light perfection and the rosemary aioli was perfect. The burrata was creamy and served with perfectly roasted peppers and slices of toasted rustic bread. Honestly, if you order anything here, go with those artichokes. Around the table we had lobster rolls, the Chinese chicken salad, and the shaved ribeye dip. We ordered sweet potato fries, truffle fries, and charred broccolini to share as sides. Both fries came with the same rosemary aioli for dipping. Know that the truffle fries are VERY truffly. I thought they were good but some might think the flavor was too strong. The sweet potato fries were OK but nothing special. The charred broccolini was too salty. Those having the lobster rolls and the salad said they were good. The ribeye sandwich was tender but the au jus honestly was very average. That was it, too. A sandwich and a cup of broth for $34. They also could not separate our check. "We can only split it four ways." All in all, we were OK with that. I would go back for cocktails and appetizers but RH is probably on my "been there done that" list. I'm so sad I forgot to check in when there! But it was a fun dinner out with my coworkers. We snagged reservations because we like to stay at Lively, so we walked over. The grand staircase is beautiful! The rooftop is definitely aesthetic. I'd go back to sit outside with a cocktail, but I don't think the food was as good as the price. My rose spritz was delicious, but shouldn't be a $20 cocktail. The appetizers were the best part. I would have loved to try dessert, but we were too full. My lobster roll had a pretty small amount of lobster, but it was fresh and delicious. The sides are extremely average for the price. I've been wanting to try this place for a while but saved it for a special occasion, so we came for National Couple's Day. The restaurant is gorgeous--lots of natural light, big chandeliers, a fountain in the center, and an open kitchen. Service was friendly but a little slow. We started with the charcuterie board--cheese and prosciutto were excellent (love that the prosciutto wasn't too salty). For my main, I had the lobster roll with sweet potato fries. The roll was perfectly toasted, full of lobster, and seasoned just right. For cocktails, my rosé spritz was okay, and my fiancé's old-fashioned could've been better--so for the price, we'd probably skip drinks next time. Everything you look for when dining at an establishment like RH. Last time we were in we had the king crab roll entree, so it was a no brainer to try the minis with caviar for an appetizer. They were outstanding. They do come with 4, but one was snagged before their photo shoot lol I had the French omelette...wow!!! Perfectly cooked, fluffy, and decadent. I love that all entrees are served with a little arugula & vinaigrette salad as a garnish, it really helps cut through the richness of some of the dishes. The Italian Benedict was also phenomenal. The ciabatta bread was crisp, with perfectly poached eggs and topped with a decadent hollandaise. RH Scramble is a classic breakfast with rich, creamy, scrambled eggs, fresh avocado, salted butter, and roasted ciabatta bread. The bonus surprise for me, was the sausages. I grew up in the UK and the breakfast sausages over there are different to the ones in the US. If you know, you know. We brought a cake for birthday celebration and they charged $10 per person for cutting the cake, LOL and they added gratuity to cutting cake fee LOL. 1. The waitress approached us with sparking or distill water, not tap water but failed to inform us it is $10 a bottle for distill water . Many friends ordered lobster roll sandwiches, $34, not enough sauce or butter. Tasteless. 3. I ordered ribeye, rare, $66, which was medium rare when they served me. I expected rare at this price point. Fail. 4. My friend brought a birthday cake for celebration, the waitress informed us $10 up charge. We are ok with it. Then the staff brought us the cake and they cut them. The waitress gave us the receipt and we asked her what is $50 up charge, she said it is for cutting the cake, which is $10 PER PERSON and proceeded to tell us whoever made the reservation should know. I couldn't find this policy anywhere on their website.How come you left out per person when you informed us at first? Deceiving. At last, why added gratuity to cutting cake fee? Dinner at RH in OKC. We had early reservations for 5 pm. We we arrived about 10 minutes early and they seated us. Other patrons came in, had water brought to their tables and then received their drink orders, and their we sit. Then others started receiving appetizers. So I went to the hostess and it took them another few minutes to figure out that a server had not been assigned to our table. It was a rough start but things got much better. It's a cool venue with a nice vibe. Love the all glass enclosure on the roof top. I'd love to have dinner there when it is raining or snowing. There is also outside seating when the weather allows. I started with an old fashion and i ordered a bottle of cab for Jan to start and me later. For an appetizer we ordered shrimp coctail. Lovely presentation. It is severed with three different sauces. One is a blend of mayo and stone ground mustard. It paired nicely with the shrimp. For our entrees, Jan ordered Lobster with asparagus. I ordered the filet with truffle fries. All excellent. The filet was perfectly prepared to order and was quite delectable. The truffle fries were excellent. After the initial foopah, things went well and we had a very enjoyable dinner. RH has been a recent topic of conversation amongst my friends and family so my wife wanted to give it a shot. First off the service and ambiance are exceptional. The vibes are high with both decor and being taken care of. This isn't a white tabletop dinner; it's much more casual. There is no bar so don't come early to hang out before your meal. Foodwise I don't think I'll be coming back for dinner as this is more of a brunch spot. Of all the things I tried I enjoyed the crab rolls w/caviar the most. They nailed this $80 appetizer. All the entrees are also good but not great. The price of these entrees are too high for the taste. For instance I can find a much better salmon dish for $10-$15 cheaper that comes with sides. Once you get past that, enjoy the beautiful rooftop setting, the highly skilled and friendly staff, the tasty cocktails, and the amazingly delicious food. The dining room is an open atrium style space that feels like you're sitting on top of the city with great panoramic views. Seating is cozy and comfortable, and the fountain and greenery are charming. We started with the mini lobster rolls and they were so tiny and good! No regrets. Went here for my birthday brunch in August! We had some blinis & caviar to start off which was okay. Nothing special but a good starter nonetheless. I had the Roadside Lobster Roll which was delish! Getting to have great seafood in a land locked state is next to impossible but according to the maitre d (she seems like she was atleast lol) they get it shipped in weekly to make sure of the freshness! Just the right amount of butter on the fluffy roll stuffed with some meaty lobster! I paired it with some truffle fries which definitely held its own! Great flavors, nothing too overpowering (which I believe can easily be done with truffle) and the texture was great! My bestfriend and I shared a toast with the RH Bellinis which were perfect for brunch! She had the Italian Benedict which she thought was great but the Black Forest Bacon stole the show! The dirty martini was made with a clear olive juice and did not disappoint. The cosmopolitan and Bellini were just as tasty. Easter lunch at the RH Rooftop Restaurant in Oklahoma City was extremely disappointing. Despite a reservation, we waited while our table time was already ticking, we were taken to a table, then told we could not sit there, and told to go back up front and wait again. When we were finally seated, it was at an isolated table with no view--looking at a supply closet and the elevator, with blinds down so we couldn't even see outside. Staff even mentioned the table is "hardly ever used," so we completely missed the rooftop experience we had reserved weeks in advance. After waiting over an hour, the food was unacceptable--$65 crab salad was lettuce with a few bits of crab on top, nothing else. The burger was overcooked, the steak looked like it had been sitting under heat lamps, and the fries didn't arrive with the meal. They removed the food charges, but no one made any effort to fix the situation. They immediately gave us the check, and as soon as we set the credit card down, they grabbed it, charged our card, and sent us on our way. We left hungry on Easter and missed the entire experience, since we had no view of the dining room. Save your money and stay away! UPDATE: I spoke with management following my original review. The interaction was disappointing--the manager came across as rude and repeatedly asked me to repeat the situation rather than addressing it. She stated that the salad only includes a quarter pound of crab and that the photo I posted was a satisfactory portion, which did not align with what was represented or expected. When I declined to continue repeating the same details I had already provided, the call ended abruptly when she disconnected the line. This type of management interaction does not meet the service standards expected from RH. read more

Our first time here was a great experience. From the check-in staff to the waiters, very friendly and attentive. It is a bit pricey in my opinion compared to other comparable restaurants in the area (such as Ramsey's). However, all the food was beyond tasty. I ordered the roasted chicken club and added avocado- the chicken was tender, and had a nice taste while the bread was perfectly crunchy. My husband ordered the shaved ribeye that also tasted delicious. Truffle fries (however I don't think a side of fries should cost $20) tasted great with the aioli it comes with; they were a decent sized serving that was enough to share between two people. Beautiful rooftop view with the waterfall and the trees throughout. Very peaceful and there wasn't too many people on a Tuesday afternoon. It was a rainy day so the see-through ceiling was nice as well. Also to mention, the restrooms were individual. I've never seen this and thought that it was such a unique thing for a restaurant to have. Odd thing to mention but it was kinda cool in my opinion. Overall this place gets 4 stars because it is absolutely beautiful, the food was very good, and the service was very polite. I got the lobster roll and sweet potato fries. The lobster was really nice and it said it had a touch of mayo, and it was just a touch which I was grateful for because I am not the biggest mayo fan. The aioli for the fries was delicious. I had the butterscotch crème brûlée for dessert. It was pretty good, but the flavor profile was a bit too heavy for a crème brûlée dessert for me. There were some negatives. They did not give you the option of free tap water when they take your drink order. Rather they offer still or sparkling only, and neglect to tell you that one bottle of still water is $10. They also heavily suggest adding caviar to your meal, without telling you it is a $40 up charge. Yes it is written on the menu, but in extremely fine print. However the waitress was kind enough to take it off the bill when our friend told her she did not know it was $40 extra. Lastly, the payment system needs to be refined to reflect every other restaurant in Oklahoma City. If dining with friends and you want to pay for only your meal, you have to write down the amount out of the total check that you want on your card. It makes the final moments of the meal very tedious and awkward. read more

The food, however, was a real disappointment. My friend ordered a steak medium well, and it first arrived rare. When sent back, it returned completely well done. Either way, the steak had absolutely no flavor, which for the price is unacceptable. I also ordered a filet that was cooked rare instead of medium. I had to put a ton of salt and pepper on it to make it edible. (They do have any type of steak sauce...which i have NEVER had to even ask Mahogany or the Ranch for sauce). The shrimp cocktail and potato purée were the only enjoyable parts of the meal. Our group was a party of seven, and they refused to split the check at all--despite other reviews stating they could split up to four ways. When we asked again, we were simply told "no." We asked for the manager and he said they could split the check in even amounts or by seat number. I told him to do that and he said they could only do it for small parties. He blamed it on their system. A restaurant of this caliber should have a better system. To make up for the steak issue, the manager brought out three cookies, which felt more like a brush-off than a genuine attempt at customer service. I wish I had listened to the reviews I read beforehand. The ambience is not enough to make up for overpriced, flavorless food and rigid, unaccommodating policies. Definitely not worth the price. That we would not be able to have separate checks at the end of the meal. Three of us put our on one ticket . The tickets were all messed up, we had things on our ticket that weren't ours. We had a 20% graduity added because there were 6 of us, and after we finally got everything on the correct check, we had to add and separate the checks ourselves. And it was just a big mess. I feel like this shouldn't be an issue to put it on A separate check. Also I would.I wanted a dirty martini, but they didn't have any blue cheese olives. This is exceptionally nice restaurant and I feel like they shouldn't say no at anytime. It is a beautiful place to take pictures. You can sit out on the patio. The store itself is beautiful. Eaten here twice, once on a Wed night and then the next day for lunch. The night experience, we made a reservation, was incredibly and painful slow. We were there over 3 hours...no one wants to be at a restaurant for 3 hours. The waiter was walking by with a drink for another table and lost balance on a tray and spilt on our chairs and all over my bag and then 5 minutes later the waiter went to pour us water and spilt it all over the table. The next day at lunch was faster. Food good but overpriced. Servers are so nice but do need more training. Give it several months before you attend! read more
