Love love Classen Grill the service, atmosphere and the food always amazing! Thank you for a great start to Friday morning!

We thought we would try this place one more time. When we arrived, there were no customers in the front dining area. There were also no servers or hostess, so we waited a minute or two and someone finally came out. We were seated and our waitress was very kind. I ordered the avocado toast. It was OK. I did enjoy the sautéed spinach on it, but the toast underneath was soggy, and the knife wouldn't cut it very well. My friend ask if the French toast came with any sides and she was told "order it as a combo and you'll get it with bacon and eggs". Perfect that's just what she wanted. Except, the two egg combo is only nine dollars. There was no mention of an up charge. They charged her for the French toast and then added a five dollar up charge, instead of charging her for the two egg combo and then a five dollar up charge to change from pancakes to French toast. So instead of it being a $13 breakfast it ended up being an $18 breakfast. I'm not sure that was done correctly. But most definitely, the weight staff should tell someone if there's going to be an up charge of any sort. In my opinion.

The food was pretty good. When I was deciding where to go it was between this place and Sunnyside Diner. Which turned out to be the sister company and I did not know. So needless to say the service was really good. The banana nut French toast could have been a bigger portion though because it by itself would not get you full it is a good idea to add a side. I liked the ambiance of the grill it was nice and clean with plenty of places to sit.

First time here came on a Friday closer to 12:30 it was dying down from being busy , our waitress was very very nice and funny loved the customer service her name started with an A. I got the two egg platter and added banana nut French toast . The food was really good overall, French toast had a nice crisp on the outside . I also had the fried green tomatoes and they were soo good, I'm not sure if you get the banana nut French toast by itself if it'll come in the bigger version versus as a side.

I really enjoyed this place, I actually have not been here before their remodel. The server Rudy was so nice and helpful with recommendations. I ordered the belt sandwich and it was so good, I keep thinking about it. They're known for these fried potatoes, and they were so good. Kinda reminded me of scalloped potatoes. The ambiance is really cool and colorful,

This is a true hidden gem in OKC! They are only open for breakfast & lunch but they seem to have a winning combo! My wife & I enjoy Eggs Benedict so we couldn't pass up on this opportunity. She got the Eggs Benedict with Crab Cakes and I got the Classic Eggs Benedict! We swapped a half so we could try both! Not disappointed with either one! We had an excellent server in Roy, a wealth of information on not only the restaurant but food as well! Luckily we arrived when the restaurant only had a handful of customers. Assuming this was because of a weekday and mid morning. Roy was able to share some extra time to answer questions and I must say very intriguing! Since the restaurant likes to source locally that is a huge plus! In addition he told us about their endeavor to highlight local artists. In fact he said 2025 was already booked. They were some very interesting art pieces adorning the walls and I till the opportunity to snap pics and read about the highlighted artist. This is a definite return to try out more of the menu! We were informed that they are busy on the weekend so that I'll have to keep in mind if we can't make it during the week!

Came here with some friends for brunch and had an amazing time. Sorry I didn't get more pictures of the drinks and other food because they all looked good. We promptly seated when we got here. It was during the week so not too crowded. The parking is great as it's right on the compound itself. There were beautiful paintings around that were for sale as well that's changed ever so often. Our waiter took us down memory lane giving us a very detailed look into the history of the establishment. We all appreciated that. Will definitely be back.

Service was ok. It took a long time for them to serve our food maybe because they were packed. Food wise, it was ok. My favorite was the freshly squeezed OJ - brings back my childhood memories when my mom used to do that for us kids.

This chic neighborhood grill is perfect for a breakfast, warm brunch, or lunch. An intimate atmosphere well spaced for conversation while enjoying local coffee from Elemental coffee and eggs from Hanson Farms. Sarah has gone above and beyond making sure you feel welcomed with every request coming out splendidly. If you are looking for a place to hang out with your friends, family, or coworkers and enjoy a meal, I would highly recommend stopping here. Beware though, it's habit forming. The Classen Grill keeps you coming back for more and rewards your patronage with their wonderful loyalty program.

Another failed attempt to get into Hatch Early Mood Food in downtown led me to Classen Grill. I love Hatch but the downtown location is a tough location, and this is going to be the last attempt. Classen Grill was closed for renovation but is now operating again. Located on Classen Curve, not the most visible street, but hey it has plenty of parking unlike you know "who." It's a pretty rounded diner overall with great service. The food is pretty good. I had the Chinook Benedicts (salmon) and it was well made, and the salmon taste was the best feature. The only criticism...a little to SALTY! Please take this with a grain of salt as this is very objective. I was happy with my selected side item, the fruits, as they balanced out the Benedict well. Classen Street is my home turf so having another dining option is always a welcoming feature. Classen Grill is worth a try. For breakfast, Cafe Kacao and Cafe Antigua are more suitable for my taste though.

This place is awesome and likely the best and most original breakfast & brunch spot in town! Was able to get the Classen Omelette, which was very good, along with one of their blueberry pancakes. What was also very good were their jalapeño corn bread muffins (given complimentary) with honey & butter. Their sides of fruit, street corn and scalloped potatoes were also very good. Beverages were great including their freshly squeezed orange juice (you can see the machine that does it in the main room), apple juice and iced tea. Service was also exceptional, was able to get checked on a lot. Interior environs also very cozy and diner-like. I bet this would be a great place to go in groups! Very highly recommended!

My husband and I decided to have breakfast here on a whim and I'm so glad we stopped though. Our server Rudy was really great and all the staff were awesome. The renovated space is nice and open and looks really good. Now is the perfect time to go because as soon as the construction next door is finished it's gonna be packed. Hubby got the pancake platter with extra bacon and I got the breakfast platter with a jalapeno biscuit with chorizo gravy. I would rate my food a solid 5/5. The Classen potato's taste like something at the state fair. So freaking good. The jalapeno biscuit was delicious. My husband loved all his food and rated it a 4.9/5. He took off .1 points for the pancake getting soggy. We will be back soon!

As good as ever! Thankful that they're near the old location so we could find them. Had the Christmas Burrito with a side of very fresh fruit and hubby had pancakes, eggs and bacon. Half of my burrito and all the fruit is now in the fridge for tomorrow. He cleaned his plate including both giant pancakes. Service was very good, timely, and generous with iced tea to go. Clean bathrooms, pretty local art and good memories from the past.

Just don't go here…read more I've lived here for 5 years and by far the worst restaurant experience I have had in Oklahoma, and if you see my other reviews I'm pretty forgiving and tend to give spots the benefit of the doubt. This is a place worth an absolute flaming of a review.... But they already wasted enough of my time and energy today so I'll just summarize. No management on scene, no hostess, one server, two bartenders and a restaurant at 50% capacity on Mother's Day at 1 p.m. From walking in to having our orders taken, 30 minutes. 45 minutes later our order of roasted vegetable salad, steak eggs Benedict, and sourdough toast arrived. Salad was very well burnt but my mom was trying to be nice and didn't want to walk out. Eggs Benedict came out with two eggs boiled through, a hollandaise sauce with a sour smell and cold steak. I didn't eat it and no one seemed to notice, had it removed from my bill easy enough, but again zero F's given and no management showed daylight. Wife's toast actually arrived 5 minutes after the 'rest' of the food and the only thing hot and delicious. Toast here is $11, so there's that. No one cares here. From the health violations and poor food safety I saw in the kitchen, the multiple tables I witnessed sending back food to the multiple parties puzzled as to why they weren't being sat or once they were entirely ignored... it was so wildly bad I was embarrassed for everyone else having the same experience. Again, don't go.

So the daughter and I headed on over to see if its still as good as I remember. Crab cake appetizer. You only get 1 but it had some great flavor with the remoulade sauce. The only negative was the tiny pieced shell in the crab cake. Unfortunately thats almost a given for fresh pulled crab meat. Farm salad was very fresh and had a great dressing. I believe it was a white balsamic vinaigrette. I ordered the ribeye,With garlicky spinach. The steak had great flavor. I wish it would have been more tender. But overall, the cut of steak was really good. My daughter ordered the New York strip with fingerling potatoes. The way she demolished that steak tells me that she was hungry and that it was delicious. Naturally, we ordered the whiskey cake for dessert and it did not disappoint. It was everything I remembered. I finally made my way here tonight before a work get together and initially I enjoyed the space and atmosphere. It is very cozy and intimate, and there are not many bars like it in OKC. However, when it came to the bartenders (two from my interaction) and cocktails -- my experience was less than cozy. Long story short, I asked for an espresso martini, a basic drink I know. And I was told as such by both bartenders working, one of which called me 'boring'. They wanted me to try a drink off their menu, and I respect the pride and effort this business put into crafting unique, holiday cocktails. However, none of them spoke to me tonight, and I wanted a run of the mill espresso martini. One bartender asked if I would be willing to try one of their drinks similar to an espresso martini, to which I agreed, however I still did not enjoy and requested a regular (boring and basic) espresso martini. They said they typically avoid making these popular drinks, but made an exception for me. Which is really unfortunate, because it was one of the best espresso martinis I've had in the city. Both bartenders later apologized for their comments, but I'm unsure if they were genuine or trying to save face. All in all, if you're willing to explore untraditional cocktails with a cozy vibe, you should try this place. If you have a simple pallet, that doesn't need to be wowed, it's questionable if you should visit. If this review doesn't get me banned, I may give it another try. Happy drinking!
