We are from out of town visiting family and they recommended this amazing groomer as they own a Bichon poodle mix. They where spot on, Scrappy's is an amazing groomer and the young lady groomer did a tremendous job for my multi poodle and mini labradoodle. Both received a bath, nail trim, teeth cleaning, gland cleaning and hair cut. My wife was very pleased and very happy and that's enough for me to recommend this establishment to people who love their pets. Prices where more than reasonable and appropriate. read more

please don't take your pets here. This place doesn't have the right equipment to groom a dog. That includes grooming tools, grooming tables, bath tub, kennels, and leads. They also don't have groomers and would make BATHERS groom dogs without having an actual groomer to guide through the process!! read more

I absolutely love this place! Max is always taken well care of and he's always the cutest thing ever once I pick him up! The staff is super friendly and when I say they take my max on a short notice they do it with a smile on their face each time! Don't take your pets to this groomer they left a big hole litterly a hole in my friends dog then they wouldn't take responsibility for it

Hello fur-ends. So I want to talk about my experience working @scrappyspetsalon. I was not going to post anything public because I just wanted it to be behind me. Jerry Gutierrez is the owner. When I first met him he was very sweet and generous. He came off as a trust worthy honorable guy. He even gave me an advance when I was only there for two weeks. He needed a groomer ASAP seeing as all of his previous staff were laid off/quit. I was the only one there for months. However, slowly I began to realize what kind of person he really is. I was overworked without getting paid overtime. Sometimes I'd stay at the salon past 10p.m even 11p.m (Tuesday-Saturday). He would lie to customers and tell them I have 7 years experience. He would tell customers to go in at inconvenient times to get work done even though I was booked for the day. Keep in mind I had to bath and groom each client. When I told him I couldn't take them in he would still tell the customer I could which would leave tension with the customer who would come in and have to wait longer than expected. He didn't have the right grooming equipment to make scrappy's a "premier salon" as he claims it to be. He still doesn't. Neither did he have the proper permits to have that salon open in the first place which I later found out after I left. He would always promise things and never deliver. He once told me in front of two other employees that he already did all the hard work because he put in the money. I would also have to remind him to pay the electric and water bills after they'd be turned off. One time I had to reschedule appointments because he didn't pay the rent. He blamed it on River Oaks. He never thinks he's at fault. I left after a bounced check he continually blamed on my bank that I have been using for years. It wasn't until I said that I would refuse to work until I got paid for the weeks previous that the money appeared. Without notifying me why, he blocked me from the Facebook account that I religiously updated and contributed to with photos I had taken/edited of clients. I deleted my photos from the instagram account before he blocked ne from there too. He re-uploaded them without my permission. (Some not even taken at scrappys) OVER TEXT was the conversation in which we exchanged my employment. He repeatedly avoided to meet in person and my phone calls. He has no idea what he is doing. He's a full time nurse. He wants to put up this persona of a man that cares for your pets and their safety. He doesn't. All he cares about is getting a quick buck. He does not understand how much love, patience, and dedication it takes to take care of your pets. I really wanted to just let life deal with him. But I had to speak up when I heard he is trying to treat your pets as if they were fast food. With his "Scrappy's Express" idea. Please reconsider taking your pet there. And if he is trying to lure you in to work for him. DON'T. I'm not the first human to get miss treated and harassed by Jerry Gutierrez. I have had my share of incidences because I did not have the right grooming table and tethering spots. I know he will do and say anything to convince people he is not the problem. He has threatened me several times saying he will bad mouth my name because he knows a lot of wealthy, important people. I'm going to stand my ground. Anyone who knows/follows me knows I love what I do and will not be silenced. I'm not scared of your blackmail, Jerry Gutierrez. LEAVE THE PET INDUSTRY ALONE! PLEASE REPOST EL PASO (I tried taking this to the workforce of El Paso but because he has less than 15 employees, there is nothing they could do. The girls here at Scrappy's made us feel comfortable dropping off our fur babies. I've taken them to Pet Smart several times and the dogs either came back smelling like wet dog or the hair cut was totally not what we asked for. Scrappy's had my 3 fur babies smelling lovely and they looked great! We will be coming back here. read more

I called to set up a Sunday appt. At first I was told they would not be open on Sunday (I'm guessing not enough appts made...which was fine). However then I was asked what time I told them 12. Then I was asked if I was really going to show. Of course I was, I wouldn't call otherwise. Well Sunday comes around (today), and I show up at 11:45. Doors locked. Ok...maybe they are running behind. I wait until 12. Still no one. So I call the manager Julio and it goes straight to voicemail. Now I'm kind of irritated. Well I wait another 15 mins and no one showed. Finally I left. I had no problem if they couldn't have done today. I would have just gone in Monday. However since the appt was made it should have been honored or at least a courtesy phone call would have been nice. Bad customer service. I will be calling the owner to let him know. read more

Wonderful service, great prices, clean place. They did a great job on grooming my dog's hair. They even put a nice little blue bow.

I took my two pugs yesterday to Priscilla. It was a little packed because it was the day before Super Bowl but the customer service was amazing nonetheless. My dogs were comfortable and seem to have been well taken care of. When we picked them up, they looked so clean and fluffy. Priscilla and staff at Scrappy's are so nice and knowledgeable. And the price was good, too! Definitely coming back. read more

Look on Facebook under Scrappys Pet Salon and it has a customer who has posted information on how these people that work there horribly cut their precious dogs peice of skin off and left a gaping hole and then lied that they did not do it..they should not be in business!! The dog had to be taken to the vet and Scrappys Pet Salon refused to pay the vet bill. The owner of the dog should be reimbursed for what she paid these groomers and the vet bill. read more

They cut animals and don't take responsibility for their actions! I've used them to groom my dog many times, the costumer service is terrible. Now that they hurt my dog I'll never return, if they cut a pet they should take responsibility instead of blaming it on the owner. They should be paying my vet bills! read more

There are pos and cons about this place... let me start by stating the pros; prices are VERY good, my dogs look good, the person on the phone is polite and explains prices over phone before bringing your pet in. Now for the cons; communication hiccups (different info is given by the person on the phone and the person that meets you at the door), currently taking CASH ONLY and make sure to bring exact amount due, "they don't have change", they book several pets at the same time as your so expect it to take a few hours. None of which was disclosed to me before coming. Now I know and hope this review helps others to be informed. I was recommended this place by someone else who has good things to say about it, unfortunately my experience was met with confusion and rudeness (hope it's due to this Covid guidelines and won't happen again). I will give them another shot in a couple months and see what happens. read more

Scrappy's was awesome! Priscilla was great even though she was under the weather she took care of my dog and did a great job!
