We came here for breakfast. I had avocado toast with an almond milk cappuccino, no sweeteners. My husband had what I believe was a breakfast chicken flatbread and an iced caramel coffee. Everything was delicious. The sourdough bread was very crispy and nice. Avocado toast was good, nothing impossible to recreate at home but done well. The flatbread looked incredible. I could not try it but my husband really, really loves this place and goes back on his own, which says everything. One complaint and it is the same complaint I have across most places in Dallas. Clean the espresso machine. My cappuccino tasted slightly burnt, which gives it that cardboard flavor, and serving a hot espresso drink in a paper cup does not help either. Hot milk and cardboard do not work well together. This is something that could easily be fixed and would make a real difference. Outside seating is very nice, covered and very clean. Cute place overall. Would recommend coming here. P.S. My ratings are based on whether I believe I could make a better or healthier version at home. If food/drinks/service impress me, I'll be happy to come back. If not, the stars reflect that. read more

Nice little cafe that's located in a Christian based television studio, which I didn't know prior to going ! After sitting in the cafe for about 5 minutes, it just felt too quiet, and all I heard was light gospel music or instrumentals, so decided to see where I was at The coffee wasn't that great to me, but I did enjoy the scramble, and the low prices! My breakfast scramble and latte came out to 11 bucks, I was shocked. I found it a bit odd that security was there, but I think it's because it's connected to Daystar!. read more

Upside: Cute and delicious. Downside: parking is pretty silly, lots of underused "reserved" space signs and people using construction cones to hang on to their parking spot. Makes patrons and guests take an excessive time to find somewhere to park and walk quite a ways uphill to get to the shop. If you have handicap family members, you may need to drop them off before you park. read more

Beautiful cafe shop inside Christian bookstore.. next to Daystar company. Nicely wood floors and hardly anyone there. The guy who made the drinks was kind. The lady mentioned she makes scratch biscuits (hence name). She also does specials on Friday (lasagna for lunch). They closed around 3p. I better come back for scratch biscuits next time! We found this "company cafe" that is open to the public and it was a terrific experience. Our only complaint was the fact when we drove into the parking lot there was no signage for the cafe and also there are only a few parking spots dedicated for cafe customers. But we kept in mind the cafe was there primarily to serve the employees of the Christian Satellite ministry located there. Now the good points. The team serving customers make this a very personal experience. Lots of customization for what the customers want. The service people offer excellent communications and they were very helpful to talk about the menu items and make recommendations. The food quality was excellent The pricing was reasonable for the quality of food items we ordered. There is a nice indoor sitting area and also a lot of outdoor seating under a shade cover. I love it here! There's calming music, really sweet staff that all dress like pinterest boards, and really aesthetic handwriting on the menu boards. I was lucky to walk in JUST as the cookies were coming from the oven! I LOVE slightly undercooked cookies, the texture is the best that way! I ordered the Matcha-Berry (almond milk+strawverry puree+matcha+cinnamon powder), and it's amazing! The barista even wrote my name on the sleeve and put a heart next to it. Some downsides: It was hard to find, it's behind a Walmart but my maps helped me! The fake flowers on the table are corny, maybe try succulents or something more realistic like the real greenery they have outside! My biggest issue was immediately seeing the Holy Bible when I walked in + bible verses. It made me uncomfortable as someone that doesn't celebrate this religion; they could be more inclusive for others like me (maybe they're Muslim, a part of the LGBTQ+ community, etc.) and take the bible/verses down, maybe replace them for a quote from an inspiring person, someone that makes a quote relating to everyone and not a targeted audience. I was looking for a local coffeeshop in the Colleyville area and came across Scratch cafe on yelp. While this isn't exactly a coffeeshop, and I definitely got a few confused looks as I pulled out my laptop and notebook to study for a few hours, it is a relatively quiet place to work. Scratch is located inside the Daystar building so many employees come down for a quick coffee boost throughout the day, and at one point there was even a group of elementary schoolers who walked through on a field trip! The staff is kind, and while I may not come back to study, if you work in the Daystar building or just need a quick coffee or sandwhich, Scratch isn't a bad place to go! The location is somewhat difficult to access, and Google maps took me to the other side of the building where there was no entrance, so you might want to add a few minutes to your travel time to find the right location. read more

Wow! Such a great find! The Cafe is open for Breakfast and Lunch with wonderful tasting food items to choose from. Comfortable, well decorated, peaceful, atmosphere. Chose to sit at a table or in one of the comfortable conversation groupings of cushy chairs. Kick back, relax, and enjoy a favorite beverage. The signage for this cafe inside of an office is bad. I ordered a chai tea and almond milk and a breakfast burrito. The place was empty - just security and a couple that was chatting. No one else was being served. The chai tea was fine, nothing to write home about. They call you to the counter to get it. The place was dead but when my burrito was done I had to get up and go pick it up at the counter. The burrito could have used salt and pepper - it was very bland. The salads made up for it a little. Someone else came in maybe ten minutes later, it got busy but somehow the check cooking managed to bring him his oatmeal and then doubled back to bring him a spoon. DONT GO HERE!!! THE FOOD SUCKS!! Worst experience I had while visiting Texas. My husband and I stopped here for a quick breakfast and coffee. We walked in with our dog in a backpack because we were just carrying out and the security kicked me out and made me go to my car with my dog. My dog was not on a leash he was in a backpack carrier. Scratch Cafe has great breakfast, and uniquely wonderful lunch items like flatbread pizzas and smoke brisket tacos. Besides the breakfast tacos, my favorite is the Cuban panini sandwich - it's awesome!!! Just last Friday they had burgers with chimichuri sauce. Now that's unique!
