Such a cute creamery tucked in the end corner of the Collective Eatery. Taste tested the vegan cotton candy but selected the "Cake Batter" flavor paired with a cake cone. Enjoyed the chocolate chip chunks. A cure for a rainy day.

This place is adorable! It's a little food truck surrounded by other food trucks downtown. They were super friendly and let me get one scoop split between 2 flavors. I got door county cherry & dirt cake in a waffle cone. Yum!!

This little ice-cream shop inside Crossroads Collective on Farwell carries my most favorite ice cream on this earth - Salted Caramel Waffle. I am truly obsessed, much to the protest of my tight pants. The ice cream has a gelato like quality with a crunchy waffle pieces. It has great mouthfeel and goes well with toppings such as chocolate chips, pb chips, blueberries or chocolate sauce! Do not sleep on this, get yoself some Scratch

Alright Scratch, where have you been all my life?? I've been eyeing them up and hearing good things for awhile, so on a beautiful sunny evening, I decided it was time to give it a go. Not to mention, my husband couldn't be more obsessed with ice cream so he was in. Scratch Ice Cream is located inside of Crossroad Collective food hall on North Ave. There's hardly ever prime parking in this area, so just a heads up on that. They are only a small stand and tucked away in the corner but if you walk in on the back entrance, as we did, you'll run right into Scratch. In terms of covid and safety precautions, I give them a big thumbs up. The staff member was wearing a mask and gloves + there is a protectant clear plastic screen between workers and customers. This s'cream was so delicious and creamy. Large amounts of dairy don't sit well with me, which always bums be out because I'm an ice cream lover. That being said, a major piece of what drew me here was their vegan options. I went for the vegan caramel single scoop and oh my goodness was the flavor intense (in the best way). So smooth and with the same texture as dairy ice cream - you'd never know the difference! I also snuck a lick of my husband's chocolate dirt cake cone and wow. Just wow. Safe to say our ice cream needs were satisfied and that we will return!

How have I not reviewed my favorite Milwaukee ice cream? I can't recall where or when I first tasted Scratch ice cream, but I remember it was the Salted Caramel Waffle Cone ice cream that made me a believer! Chocolate-covered pieces of waffle cone are mixed into their salted caramel ice cream. If you need more information, check your pulse. As I understand it, they started out making their ice cream in their aunt and uncle's "fro-yo" shop in Tosa. They've since grown to the point where they have their own production facility. I buy their ice cream atthe Crossroads Collective Food Hall, the Zocalo Food Truck Park, or the bigger local grocery chains. You know what else? I'm lactose intolerant. Yeah, but you better believe I will pop a Lactaid capsule to eat some Scratch ice Cream! In addition to the Salted Caramel, I've had the Door County Cherry, Mint Chip Brownie, Chocolate Brownie, Chocolate, Vanilla bean, and their Blueberry Cheesecake, which is a rare special offering that I hope becomes a regular flavor. Yesterday, I bought the Chocolate Chip (vanilla bean ice cream) Sandwich because every time I see it, I want it, but I don't want to push my limits and have a scoop AND an ice cream sandwich, so yesterday, just the sandwich. I shared it with a couple of friends because we also just ate a bunch of smoked BBQ. We all enjoyed it. The other big local hand-crafted ice cream company is very good and offers a lot more flavors, but there is something about the creamy texture of Scratch's hand-crafted ice cream that edges them up on top for me. Also, chocolate-covered waffle cone pieces FTW! If you didn't know, now you know. Go get some!

6 pints of ice cream and cookies are in the back. Nicely packaged and great communication regarding delivery!

We ordered the Quarantine package consisting of 6 pints of ice cream and 18 par baked cookies over the weekend. I was told they were delayed, but much to my surprise they delivered our ice cream and cookies today (well before I was expecting). The communication was great and I cannot wait to dig into our ice cream! We ordered two dirt cakes, cookies and cream, vanilla bean and cookie dough, cake batter, and chocolate brownie - with flavors like that how can you go wrong?! I've also heard great things about the Carmel waffle cone and friends have suggested using the cookies to make ice cream sandwiches! As a reminder, if you are ordering delivery, tip your driver! They are driving for less than minimum wage... Update: the cookies are amazing and so easy to bake (and I can't bake!). The ice cream is sooooo good! The chocolate in the dirt cake and the brownie one is so rich, creamy and decadent. The cookie dough flavor has so much yummy cookie dough too. Can't wait to go back for more!!!

Finally, an ice cream joint in my neighborhood! Scratch is all that and then some dolling out some of the most delicious ice cream one could ever want. Tucked in the back corner of Crossroads Collective Scratch will be our summertime (if it ever gets here) go to for some refreshing deliciousness! I've tried a few flavors but nothing quite does it like the oh so scrumptious Salted Caramel Waffle cone! We usually get a pint and split it! Oh so good and again in our neighborhood. A nice walk from the Riverwest area to the Eastside all enjoyed while watching this whole area grow! Cheers to Scratch you're the bomb!

I really wanted to try this place after reading the reviews. It was a good 25mins drive but we made it. I sampled a lot of their flavors and ended up with getting their salted caramel waffle flavor. It's like eating cold dessert. Their flavors felt like replicas for legit desserts. Salted caramel waffle felt like the most ice cream-ish flavor. Will definitely be back again. Good quality as well. This is what I want in an ice cream...to recognize I'm biting into some good dairy!

Wow! We stopped in for a bite to eat and stayed for some small batch, Wisconsin dairy approved, ice cream. The portions are HUGE and they have some great flavors. We went with 3 (yup, 3)...traditional strawberry, cold brew & toffee, and a "lucky charms" type cereal ice cream. Each was outstanding and super creamy, not too sweet, and the perfect texture for a rich ice cream. The strawberry was spot on. The Cold Brew had just enough coffee flavor that it wasn't overpowering. And well, the lucky charms cereal one was just flat out awesome. Who doesn't love the great marshmallows in lucky charms?!

Dirt cake ice cream. Sooooo good!

You know in the movies when a woman is going through a break up and she eats a vat of ice cream and her own tears that she cried over said vat? I've always enjoyed ice cream but I'm the woman that cries into a family size bag of potato chips instead. Lately, my appreciation for Scratch ice cream is overriding my appreciation for that family size bag of potato chips. Milwaukeeans love to rave about that Purple Door ice cream. I've never gotten the hype. Is it just because they put booze in their ice cream? That's pretty Milwaukee after all. I'm here to tell with conviction and certainty that Scratch ice cream is leaps and bounds better than those Purple people. Scratch ice cream is homemade. Seriously. They have an ice cream with brownie chunks in it, homemade brownie chunks. OMG. It's fabulous. Scratch has an ice cream counter at Crossroads Collective. There are lots of different flavors here. And, seriously, do you know that that they'll combine two flavors of your choosing into a pint to take home. True story. Maybe don't cry into it. But, if you do it'll be years of joy at just how delicious the ice cream is. Yep. Probably. You can also purchase pints of Scratch at Beans & Barley and Groppi's.

Went here for the first time with a couple friends and got a pint of their Chocolate Brownie. The brownie bits kinda taste like those cosmic brownies we had as kids if yknow what that is. So good though that I went back a couple days later and got a pint of their Vanilla Cookie Dough. Oof that stuff is good and I don't typically even like cookie dough! Lemme tell ya this stuff is c r e a m y (well the first ingredient is also cream lol) and honestly beats so many other ice cream shops for me! It's in a cute area next to black cat alley and a cat cafe as well.

birthday cake ice cream --- its a no for me
    David V.

ew... i can only speak from my experience with the Birthday Cake flavor ice cream... this is definitely NOT birthday flavor. minus 1 star for misleading name, minus 1 star for basic ingredients, & minus 1 star for customer un-satisfaction... let me break down what's inside this birthday cake ice cream: -vanilla ice cream -sprinkles -brownie bits -the end... so confused. no birthday flavor whatsoever. i know what birthday cake is supposed to taste like, and it usually has a sweet scent to it. however, this is pure all vanilla ice cream. something i can get at Pick&Save. I can buy a giant tub of vanilla ice cream at the store and put my own sprinkles on it--- because that's what youre buying at Scratch's... absolutely appalled, i threw this away and couldnt finish it

I stopped by for a scoop of mint chip custard and it was creamy, rich, cool, and delicious. But - really is there no bad day for custard? No, there isn't! This place is busy all year round, and for good reason. For the custard, there is usually a flavor of the day, plus the usual favorites, vanilla and chocolate, plus a sundae and shake of the month. A sign outdoors advertises the flavor of the day and a monthly menu of each flavor of the day is available online, if you want to plan ahead for your visit. If you've not been to this Milwaukee icon, it's a must-stop; the custard is really, really good. The retail store is set up like a 50s type diner, and there are plenty of folks ready to take your order. There is no seating indoors, just a few tables for standing-only to munch and chat. However, there is outdoor seating like a mini amphitheater on cement steps, and when the weather is nice, it is not unusual to see large groups of customers sitting outside eating ice cream or other treats or burgers. The menu also includes burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, shakes, malts, floats, and sundaes, too.

I also love their rotating Flavor of the Day custard options, and they even post a three day forecast so you can plan ahead. Overall, Kopp's is a great spot for both food and dessert. Definitely recommended.

After the mom left the worker continued to not help any one. Thank goodness for the manager (lady in the red shirt) she actually saw what happened and took over the line. It was our first night of our family vacation and I love coming to Wisconsin because of the people and the customers service but I guess that doesn't count for this restaurant. But the lady in the red shirt deserves a raise and the worker needs it fix her (their) priorities. The ice cream was really good (I would just go to a different location).

This was the first time I've been in this building since it was the Grand Avenue Mall lol. I originally was going to go to Pizza Shuttle but they were not opened yet so I decided to go with a cheeseburger and fries here at Dairyland. I was told their burgers come with 2 patties which I was totally fine with. As always I went with ketchup, mustard and pickles. I didn't know until a day later I could've got was the old fashioned which is almost like the original cheeseburger but it comes with brown mustard instead of yellow. I like both mustards but I will take brown over yellow any day. I didn't really have to wait long for my order which was a plus. The burger and fries were seasoned well. The fries kind of gave you that Checker's fries vibe and I believe the same seasoning was used on the burger. The burger was nice and juice and was served on a sesame seed bun. The cheese was nice and melty and gooey too. For what I spent for the burger and fries I would pay that amount at Kopp's but that would include a shake, but because I don't spend that kind of coin for a cheeseburger meal like that it's okay. My only criticism is that they used a touch too much mustard, but the overall hot and freshness of my meal I would order from here again.
