The best store in Oak Park, if you have a pet that you treat better than most people treat their children. Sparty hasn't met a toy he didn't like here, his favorite are the planet dog toys (definitely worth the money, as his have lasted over a year). They have really cute handmade recycled dog toys also. This is a cool little shop! OMG, they have like, EVERYTHING there!!! It's ridiculous in a good way. My very first trip there was only to get one thing, which this woman helped me immensely on picking out, might I add. Anyway, an hour and a half later, I left with like $50 worth of stuff. (I couldn't help it, they had stuff, like, everywhere.) And not just regular stuff, I'm talkin supa-fly-off-the-chain stuff. Just pure shopping entertainment. I don't know how many times I found a cute little gift, or card, or wrapping paper that stands out and it has always come from here or Pumpkin Moon. I bought something for my cat here once, but pet toys must be for pet owners because she finds my laundry basket or a paper bag 100x more exciting than anything I've ever purchased. I LOVE this store. It has all the whimsical, cute, unique, and useful things you could think of. Need a luchador bottle opener? What about a flexible flask? How about a horse head squirrel feeder? Have no fear, scratch n sniff has everything random you can think of. I can spend a ton of money here if I spend long enough here. The employees are super nice and the prices are pretty reasonable. Loved this store!! If you are looking for something special for your four-legged friend or just a quirky doo-dad for yourself, Scratch & Sniff is the place to go! I was blown away by the merchandise they carried for cats. It always seems like there are a ton of stores out there dedicated to dogs...what about cats? Even though my cat acts more like a dog, he is still a cat and likes cat-type stuff. Scratch & Sniff had tons of toys, treats, cat-nip, collars, etc for my fur baby. I ended up buying the coolest feather wand that has interchangeable feathers, cat-nip, crispy salmon treats (they smell gawd awful but he LOVES them), and some Weruva wet food (Weruva is only sold in select stores so this was a total score). Finally a store that acknowledges that cats like to have fun too!! The back of the store is home to the biggest (and coolest) leash/collar selection I've ever seen. I actually contemplated adopting a dog that day just so I could buy one of the cool leash and collars. They have tons of pet beds, food/water dishes, little outfits for your dog (mine would totally wear the White Sox shirt)...the list goes on and on. The front of the store has a little bakery style display which housed yummy treats...I believe those were just for pups though. If you don't have a 4-legged friend you should still check this place out because they had some really cool items for your home. Remember that toy when you were little that was the bald mans face, and you created a mustache/hair/eyebrows/beard with the magnetic pieces.....well they have plates with that same face so you can create a beard made of corn, broccoli hair...whatever your heart desires. Those would be awesome for a picky/finicky eater. They had an awesome clock that was the wheel from Wheel of Fortune. A great store to stop in and pick up some gifts for your four legged friend, or yourself. They have items for pets as well as people. We get some of our dogs food here. It's a nice shop, though unlike a couple other doggie stores in OP I don't feel like they are interested in getting to know their customers. It just depends whether that is important to you or not. I go in here pretty frequently and I love seeing everything they carry. As a cat and dog owner, I spend a lot of time checking out their pet-related goods. They carry some awesome stuff you can't find at Petco or Pet Smart and my pets love the gifts they get! The quality of pet toys they carry is really high and I love getting toys here as gifts for other pet people I know; the section they have for maintenance care (shampoos, nail clippers, poop bags, etc.) is also quite nice. When I've asked for help getting an item the staff has been spot on in their recommendations. If you're not into pets, good news! The store also has lots of neat gadgets that make perfect small gifts for people I have a hard time buying gifts for. OMG Scratch 'N Sniff is one of the cutest places to shop at in Oak Park, IL. This store offers a very unique selection of pet clothes and accessories. But don't let the name fool you though, you do not need to own a pet to find awesome items for yourself or for gift ideas here.
