What happened! This was our fourth grooming by Scrub a Pup Pup, the first three were ideal. The gentleman at the front desk and the groomer are both very pleasant and Sophie emerged trimmed exactly as I'd requested. This last experience was horrible. We requested the same "puppy" cut as previously done. My Coton emerged shaved to her skin, with a few abrasions from the closeness of the shave. The shaving was very uneven too. Some areas skin close and spots an inch long. Her tail hair was cut off, her face is closely and unevenly chopped, she just looks awful. To make it worse, it's the start of cold weather and she has no insulating hair. My husband picked her up and he says he was told the close cut was due to matting. It had only been five weeks since her last cut, so even if I hadn't brushed her at all she would not have required shaving. I checked her for mats a week before and Id removed most of them. My Sophie is ten years old and she's never had a bad cut before. I always tell groomers to cut out mats they find, not to tug them out, as I don't want her uncomfortable. But no one has ever done anything like this. I'm upset about this cut, but I've given three stars because my past experience with the business was great. And the man at the front desk is such a nice gentleman. I recommend caution and clarity when you drop off your dog. read more

Very happy we decided to try this groomer! I had heard great things, but it's always so nerve wracking to try somewhere new. Allison was so nice to my baby, Brillo! I brought my dog here as her regular groomer was not available. We walked in and they were very nice. Then I picked up my dog went home started petting her then felt a slime underneath her arm and saw a huge cut. Called the groomers right away and the owner said that the groomer was aware that he cut my dog but did not bother to tell anybody. I had to rush my dog to the ER and she got 3 staples to close the wound. The owner did give me a refund and paid for the medical expenses. I still don't think that it was right that the groomer knew he cut my dog but tried to hide it. read more

Very nice staff but unfortunately they have a horrible track record. We live in a large condo complex in Conshy and almost every dog in our building has had a bad experience with scrub a pup pup. Countless dogs have been nipped/cut resulting in trips to the emergency vet, one dog got loose while in their care and ended up across town, they've given the wrong dog to the wrong owners and from personal experience they sliced my dogs throat in which he ended up in the emergency vet. While I appreciated them taking him to VSEC right away and picking up the bill the story they told me over the phone about his wound didn't make sense once I saw his injury in person. Really disappointed in their follow up as it took over a week for them to check in on us and didn't even offer to finish his haircut that was a straight up dog mullet (not that we would ever let them touch our dog again). First of all, the shop itself is awesome. Not only is it super cute, but it is set up in a way that my dog had no idea she was about to get a fur-cut/bath.
