Noe…read moregave a prompt response and scheduled me within a couple weeks for shower grout and floor grout. Noe and Maria arrived on time and did a beautiful job on the shower regrout and Noe even accommodated some last minute requests to add caulking in the kitchen and quarter round. Unfortunately, we had different ideas about what grout 'touch-ups' meant for the floors - I wanted a few spots regrouted to match the rest of the flooring's grout color - but it really lacked a professional touch and didn't look good at all. I did invite Noe to come back to redo it, and it still did not meet the professional standard I paid for. I would have appreciated more thorough communication from the start to make sure I was getting what I needed. To be honest, this was not the cheapest quote I got but paid more because of the great reviews. I would be happy to change my review to 5 stars if the team wants to come back for a full regrout on the floors, but I'm not planning to pay any more than I already have. I'll attach some pictures of the beautiful shower and subpar floor grout job.

Our installer was very detail oriented and discovered our wall was not completely flush, which meant that the tile at the top of the wall would be a slightly different width than the one at the bottom. We discussed different strategies for approaching this problem. The zellige we received was also highly variable in quality and color. I asked our installer to pick out the tile in the best condition since we had ordered 10-20% extras and were very happy with the results.

Mario used hand-painted, often uneven tiles to create a backsplash that was perfectly laid out and totally symmetrical. He listened to my thoughts and explained his ideas clearly as he worked. When I had a suggestion, he incorporated it into his layout by minutely adjusting the grout work. When we faced a hiccup because I hadn't ordered enough of a certain border piece, he rethought the layout to create an even more successful design. He had us lay out the look we wanted, we discussed the problems with the prep that had been done by someone else and develop a plan to address them. He even addressed some the of the gaps in the wall we had from the demolition of the shower that were not a part of the original job. The outcome was so well done, that we asked him back for a second bathroom. It had been quite a while since I purchased the tile and created a plan for it. I had a difficult time finding someone that appreciated the beauty of the tile and also knew how to work with glass and variant shapes to develop a clean versus rustic look. Mario and his worker did a great job. Admittedly, it wasn't an easy project, since there were a number of cuts required to make it look right, but he had the skill and interest in seeing it through. I dislike about 95% of the carpet out there ... but don't have the option of putting in hard floors. My pickiness was no match for Andrew, however; he helped me find that needle in the haystack. He pulled out collections that fit my criteria, throwing them on the showroom floor and having me home in on the promising ones via process of elimination. When I showed him some varieties of carpet that I liked from a company outside of The Floor Store's network, he researched them to see if their products met his standards and if working with them would go smoothly (not so much). He got an in-network vendor to send larger samples so that I could really see what various styles would look like in my home. And he walked me through the contract process step by step, making sure I understood exactly what I was signing and paying for. Once that contract was signed, everything moved quickly. Andrew checked in during installation and even humored me at the final stage, allowing me to give him a virtual tour once the carpet was laid. I would certainly recommend him and The Floor Store to anyone looking to get new hard floors or carpet.
