The worst! It's nearly comical just how bad a retail store can be and remain operational. I'm all for shopping local and supporting small business but this is the reason why online will destroy and take over. Went to the ScrubWearhouse today. The place and the scrubs smell like mildew. I've been in the Medical field for 21 years I was proud to bring my daughter in there since this is her brand new start to her career Bad mistake not to mention the staff chases you around like your going to steal clothing. read more

Very rude staff. They don't go out of their way to help if you wear plus sizes because they simply don't stock them. Trust me. You will spend 45 minutes trying to match pieces if you're 2-3x. Rotten store. read more

My wife being hired by a large hospital in Middletown had to come here to get her company supplied uniforms .All the other reviews are spot on they are RUDE here and it is like you are bothering them by shopping here . No wonder people like to buy uniforms on the line . read more

Heh if I had other options I would have gone elsewhere. The staff here is amazingly rude. I went in after work and was rushed! I was in the store 30 minutes before closing time. For those who are familiar with scrub wear, there isn't much to pick from. Ordering online is time consuming and risky because most of the time you don't know if you're getting the real deal. I don't know why I continue to give them my money. The customer service is awful. The store has a lot to offer on first look but it's mostly dominated by the sizes that are leftover (i.e xs,sm and then 3x, etc). If you find a color top in xl in a brand, good luck finding the brands matching pants in the same size. I find the staff do not want to help you. It's the only store around like this so I keep going there. I would rather shop online and take the risk. As a tip, it would be nice if the ladies who worked there smiled or greeted you as you entered and if the men who worked there, were pleasant. This was my first time ever buying scrubs. Needless to say I was slightly terrified. The store is huge and bright and everything is clearly marked aka brands, prices, and sections such as Men's, Petites, etc. I did do some research before I went on the different brands, so I didn't look like a complete fish in a barrel when I arrived. They opened promptly at said time. Nothing worse than getting somewhere just to find it's not open yet..even though it should be. Ambiance was lacking...odd to not have any music playing and shopping in silence. The staff was so nice and genuine, although I didn't ask for help but also wasn't asked if I needed any either. Maybe scrub shopping is different than say "normal clothes" shopping? Dressing rooms were clean and well kept up. Easy to find and ample parking. Very pleasant experience. read more

Great selection, horrible staff. I've been here a few times to obtain scrubs for work. They have OK prices and a lot of variety. But the customer service is HORRIBLE. The staff is rude each time I go in there, making my experience far less pleasant. I am constantly feeling rushed and have never once been asked if I needed help. I can honestly say this store has HORRIBLE customer service. The young lady at the front desk was so rude to me and my sister. I walked in and I knew what I wanted which was an over jacket. Before I even walked over to the rack I was told twice that they were closing soon and I answered "okay thank you" I was placing the item to go back on the hanger to pay for it and leave and just before I could do so she rudely gave us extreme attitude with "WE'RE CLOSED" and walked away. I will never come back here. I would never say to a customer while they are here that we are closed. I always wait until the customer is done and satisfied at my job. read more

Ok I never want to come here because of how rude they are to everyone. How are they in business ? I bought some scrubs because I was deployed to another unit during covid. I needed to return 1 item. I know that they weren't taking returns During Covid. I tried to call several times and their response was no we're not excepting returns at this time.They should inform you they will not except a return.I'm about to try and return -let's see how that goes. They certainly don't honor the healthcare worker. Also ask a question about what they have for inventory and their answer will be I don't know. Their website is horrible. Order has not been sent for 2.5 weeks. I ordered a pair of scrubs 13 business days ago (8/01) and they have still not been shipped (8/17). An email confirmation stated that shipment should be RECEIVED within 7-10 business days but timing is not guaranteed. When I called the store the staff proceeded to tell me that they don't have my order in stock since they only get shipment once a month and it "should" ship next week. I didn't know if I was going to keep the scrubs in the first place since they have to be a certain color but return policy states that they must be returned in 30 days from the purchase date. So I may have to keep them. I leave for a clinical rotation in a week and thought that 4 weeks was plenty of time to receive my order but I was wrong. If you plan to order online from this website please order 2 months ahead of time so you aren't stuck in a pickle like I am. read more

I needed new scrubs and usually just order on amazon but didn't have the time to wait for them. I decided to come here to grab a pair quick and then wad quickly reminded why I don't shop here. The staff is so damn rude! This wasn't my first visit to Scrub Warehouse and the times before the attitude was just as bad. I just had the WORST phone conversation with these people. First off the associate that answered the phone was so rude and did not know any of the answers to any question I asked. I could hear her coworke screaming at her to give her the answers and almost sounded as if she was annoyed that I even called the store. When I had asked what the return policy was for the scrubs the associates answer was "we dont got one" so Im still not sure what that means. I ended up leaving a very angry email to the store because if it was not mandated by my school to order scrubs from there I would be going elsewhere!! The only reason I shop here is because I need embroidered scrubs for the hospital I work at and this store is in my town. The do have a large selection of scrubs. I absolutely HATE giving these people my money because they are the most unfriendly, rude staff I have ever met. I've been buying scrubs there for about 10 years and each time they get worse and worse. If I had another option of places I could buy scrubs from I would never return to this place. The last visit especially annoyed me as they decided to remove the mirrors from the dressing rooms (which are already horrible as they have these short curtains that never close!) Now they expect you to exit your dressing room and use a common mirror in the middle of the dressing room which is completely exposed to the store. It made me feel super self conscious and uncomfortable. read more

I went on here to write a less-than stellar review, but was hesitant because I'm not a fan of bashing folks, BUT....once I got on here I saw that there were A LOT of people with similar feelings about the customer service in this place. I have a loved one that works at an area hospital and he rushed there to buy a set of scrubs after his shift. He walked in at 4:03, was told they closed at 4:00 and was promptly escorted to the door where they locked it behind him. REALLY???? So much for appreciation for your healthcare workers. They could not give him 5 or 10 minutes to grab some scrubs? Apparently customer service at this place blows and plenty of people seem to have experienced it. Perhaps the employees who work at Scrub Wearhouse should look for employment elsewhere, somewhere that does not involve dealing with the public. I am pretty new with this scrub-buying-business, and when I went to the Waterbury Location the kind worker was so welcoming! She gave me a big smile and was wondering if I had needed any help. They have a pretty good selection, I hear their other locations have more, but they have a good one too. Since I am new, I am not entirely sure what kind is best, and she helped me and showed me the cheapest scrubs up to the "expensive" scrubs. They are really well priced. I only buy my scrubs from here. Huge selection of scrubs in all lengths and sizes with competitive pricing. I need petite so this is a bonus for me. They usually have a decent sized clearance rack with discounted or discontinued styles. The staff are attentive and friendly. They have dressing rooms available so you don't have to guess. Also they carry shoes, compression stockings and some equipment such as BP cuffs, stethoscopes, etc. read more

I have been shopping at Scrub Wear House in Rocky Hill for a couple of years. Yes, the selection is fantastic. No one can argue that. However, the customer service ( or lack thereof), that I've experienced every single time that I've shopped at the store, as well as witnessed of other minority customers, is totally unacceptable! I was just in the store today as a matter of fact. I walked in, was stared at by 4 people behind the counter. No one said one word. I proceeded to look around. I found a jacket that I was interested in purchasing. I noticed that my size wasn't available. I walked towards the counter with the jacket to ask it there was any chance there was a smaller size in the back, or coming in soon. The sales rep lowered her head when she saw me coming, to look at a menu. She abruptly told me that whatever was out on the floor was all they had, before I even asked, and without looking at me. I returned to the area where I found the jacket, and put it back. I looked around for another jacket. A white customer came in, and was happily greeted by every one of the 4 people working in the store. She was also told about new items that just came in, and was asked to let them know if she needed any help. As I walked around a little more, 2 other minority women came into the store, and received the same cold reception as I did. I decided to go ahead and purchase the jacket that was slightly too large. The lady that originally shunned me, rung me up without saying a word, slammed my change on the counter, in such a way that some of the coins fell to the floor, and walked away. She didn't even offer me a bag. She had a very bitter look on her face the entire time. I left the store. Later I called to ask for the owner's name and contact information. I was asked why? And was told, " there are several, and no one is available, I don't know what to tell you, you'll have to call back tomorrow." If this was the only time that this happened, maybe someone could attempt to justify it, but it has been every single time. And like I previously stated, not just towards me, but towards other minority customers as well. It's really sickening that in 2015, people are willing to go out of their way to discriminate against others. I love supporting local businesses, but if this is the way I'm going to be treated.
