I found this place on Yelp while I was shopping for a white coat to use as I awaited the ones from my department to come in. Prior to stopping here, I had stopped by another scrub shop and found their prices to be way too high for what I was looking for. The hours posted online was a little different than when I actually stopped in. There are no hours of service posted at the shop. I guess I should have called to confirmed that the store would be open. Oops! Luckily, Paul, the owner, had let me shop. I told him I was shopping for a white coat, and he led me straight to the white coat section. I didn't really have any specifics to the white coat. I was able to try on the white coat and find my size. It didn't take much time, since Paul was already able to guess-timate the white coat size that would be a great fit. I didn't have extra time to take a look at the scrubs they carried in detail, but I noticed that they carry a lot of Cherokee brand scrubs in a variety of colors. They also have compression socks, shoes, and accessories. If you need embroidery services, they provide that as well although I'm not sure of the cost. I love that this little scrub shop is near UC Davis Medical Center. It makes things convenient for future shopping or shopping for employees who need extra pairs of scrubs. Shoutout to this store being open in tough times like these right now. So I was able to get my scrubs here before heading to New York to take care of covid patients. Lot of high quality comfortable scrubs here. They got all different types of colors for men and women. They were really comfortable, I ended up going with the Koi Navy blue mens scrubs. Of course there is a bigger selection of womens clothes vs mens because theres a lot more women in health care. I kinda liked that they did NOT have figgs scrubs here because they are way overpriced and overhyped. Those are the "cool" scrubs you see on instragram but really it's not worth it. The guy working here was super nice and helpful, you can tell this is a small business, so I was glad I could support. Also it's always better to try in person than buy online #facts. read more

The man followed me out the door and told a friend of mine that I was having a conversation with to return her items .. he was very rude and waiting right behind my car so I couldn't leave and watched and was listening to our conversation. He was African American I never felt judge I came in to look at scrubs before work so I was already wearing scrubs and this man followed me like a stalker and asked me to leave to get a mask so I didn't have one and left for that reason only and he made me feel very uncomfortable. I have been going her for years to get socks for work (I'm on my feet all day as an RN and for when I fly) and for presents. Have a foodie in your life? Good selection, but I was very disappointed to find out that their prices are exponentially higher in store than their own online store. I got three things for the same price I would have gotten for four items ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE. They will not price match their own store. That is absolutely absurd. I just showed up at the store and the doors were closed. It said Will return at 11 AM? It is now 1140 and the store was completely blacked out. As I was walking away I was greeted by a man who seemed like he was either drunk or on drugs. He open the door and started making threatening accusations towards me for what I have no idea? This is the worst place to order custom embroidery. Im very bothered by the lack of care and respect that I received from this employee. We ordered six articles of clothing with a pdf file ready the day of order. It's been 7 weeks and they haven't even received our clothes to send to their embroider. Not to mention I've called 10 times and have never received a return call. When I called to check progress, the employee yelled at me and repeatedly, " Do you want them or not!" Great scrub shop. It's small but organized and they have my favorite brands (Koi and Grey's Anatomy). Helpful gentleman the day I went in and very friendly service. Even in the years before anyone heard of Covid, this place has always been locked up tight with lights off, every time I stopped by at various times of day. I drive past almost daily out doing errands, and rarely seen a single car in the lot or people going in or out. After so many times trying to shop there,, I lost interest and no longer bother. read more

I decided to stop by to see if they had lab coats, and if they did embroidery. I was excited to find out they did. However, from the time I stepped foot in the door, the clerk was rude to me. When I spoke to her, she was very short and nasty. I bought two lab coats at $32 a piece. After swiping my card, she informed me that there is a $30 restocking fee if I decided to return my order, in a very matter of fact way. I requested a refund. She said, "why do you want a refund?" I said because I am not going to be stuck with some damaged item that may/may not fit when it arrives. She rolled her eyes, grunted, and stomped over to the register. She, then, refunded my money. I would like to thank her for being rude, however. I found the same lab coats on Amazon for $22, and they will deliver in two days instead of 7. Also, there is no restocking fee, and free returns. Yaye Amazon! I also made a wrong turn trying to get to the freeway, while leaving Scrubs Stop, and ran into the UC Davis Bookstore. The staff was awesome, and very helpful. At Scrubs Stop, it is $14 for one line. At UC Davis Bookstore, it is $9 for two lines. This is important to me, since I am a provider and an administrator, which requires more than one line. Some of the other providers in the clinic need new lab coats. Thanks to my horrible experience at Scrubs Stop, I will be recommending UC Davis Bookstore and/or Amazon. BTW, I requested the refund because you don't get to be rude and nasty, and still have your paycheck come from my purchase. However, I was determined to keep it professional, and not stoop to your level. Once this place goes out of business, you will think about it. read more

I worked with Paul for years while working for a local practice - this is the only place I would come for scrubs, lab coats, etc. for my staff! We would have large orders with thousands of pieces and he made sure everything was correct and done right. He treats his customers like close friends and makes sure you have the best experience possible. Everything is taken care of and handled by him, and he does such an incredible job. He truly works with you from start to finish and gets it all done himself, and still makes time to have a nice chat when you come in - I don't know how he does it! I wanted to like this place.. I really did, but there is very little that can be said about Scrub Stop that's positive. I purchased scrubs in the store before. Their selection of men's scrubs was very limited, but I found a couple of sets and the experience was okay. Now that I'm full time, I needed a couple more sets to get me through a week, plus my wife was due for some, so I decided to buy from them again. Big mistake. They offer scrubs through an online portal. There are numerous other sites with exactly the same layout with just different colors and a different logo at the top (e.g. www.scrubsanywhere.com, www.cherokee4less.com), so they are likely using a reseller service or some such from giant distributor. My order totaled about $170 from scrub stop and $120 from cherokee4less.com, but as scrub stop has a store in town, I decided to support a local business and have the convenience of returning items if they were not right for us. There is a 10% coupon posted right on there page, but never in the order process is there an option to enter one. I went through with the order anyway, sending an email to them requesting that they remedy that. No response to that or a follow up message. First sign that we're not dealing with a customer service oriented organization. I needed to return one pant and one shirt as they were grossly oversized. I took them to the store which agreed to accept the return... with a 30% restocking fee! I had reviewed the return policy and there was no such mention. I was told that I needed to call the store between 5:30-6:00 to talk to a manager, presumable as that's when they roll around to pick up the cash they've fleeced from unsuspecting customers for the day. Unbelievable. I called a couple of days later. No answer. I emailed... Twice. No response. I decided to suck up my pride, cut my losses and take the crap back for my partial refund. I was denied as now my order date was more than 30 days before. The poor girl behind the desk, while nice enough, apparently only has the authority to take money from rubes, not return it. She called the manager and is currently awaiting a response, at which time she promised to call me back. I have only waited about three hours now for that call but something tells me it may be longer. The owner is probably waxing his boat or something. Don't shop here. Ever. If there is any problem with any of your purchase, you will receive zero support from this company. read more

Update to my previous review, which was (to say the least) pretty negative: Had a long conversation with Paul, the owner, regarding the frustrating interaction I had with his clerk, and I was impressed with his zeal to make it right; to wit, he will now put into place a method to deal with returns of goods that were manufactuered incorrectly, and this sort of problem shouldn't happen again. He gave me a gift certificate of $25 to cover the added cost and time of my taking care of this--which I thought was appropriate, and I would have done the same--but in no way influenced me to remove the review, because simply, the issue I was referring to no longer exists. So, other than that issue? I would say that this is a good place to shop--and originally thought so, because that's why I went here in the first place--and the range of items they have (I'm 6'3" and 250, and found my size without blinking) is encouraging. I love Cherokee scrubs, and Scrubs Stop is a major purveyor of the company. Good prices, too. I'm going to continue to shop there, and it's good to see how a small company looks at complaints like mine and fixes things in a way that not only am I satisfied, but looks at the situation as a learning experience, which means future customers will be satisfied as well. How does this place have a 3.5 star rating? Enlighten me on why the dressing rooms are closed due to Covid-19. The entire point of going to a store front is to try things on instead of ordering it, waiting for it to arrive, finding out it doesn't fit and thus returning it to start the process over again but that is actually better because at least you can return items. This place expects you to buy scrubs without trying them on and all sales are final. Know your size in hopefully a brand they carry and then pray to whatever god you believe in that they have your size because it takes 7-9 days for your order to arrive. You'd think that with this stores garbage policies that they'd at least have good customer service kinda like how Chick-Fil-A sales hate chicken but their customer service is impeccable so you can maybe over look the hate but NO. So cut to now. I'm wearing the scrubs I bought. That don't fit. Surprise surprise!! And because I'm psychic I told the clerk I'd be getting alteration on these and the one nice thing he did was refer me to DeRow & Sharma. I'm gonna put Karen back in her box now. My first time visiting this place was not bad. The lady working during my visit was very helpful. The shop itself is not bad. I just wish they had more scrubs in small that was tan. Overall my experience was fine. The only odd thing about the shop was the fact that the door was lock. I saw a costumer come out and when I tried to open the door it was lock. The lady working came and opened the door. I can understand the safety but ... For a store that isn't very inviting. read more

Not happy. Bought two set of Koi Scrubs. Had to order tops. Paid for shipping. Tracking number shows delivered. Never received. Called Shop, told her she had to file claim for insurance as she was the shipper. I told her I would be in Sat to pick up tops. Holly told me the tops wouldn't be there, she had done all she could. So I can't claim insurance, which is $50, doesn't cover the cost of the tops, and she is sorry. Worse customer service. I will be there Sat to pick up tops, ready or not. read more

Rang the bell and called to store and no one answered. I have no choice but to come here because my school says I have to get my scrubs from here. I was in a bind and he worked with me to ensure the embroidery was just the way I wanted it and even made my crazy deadline. The jackets turned out beautifully and everybody loved them! Delays on order and refusing to provide a receipt claiming computer problems for around a month now. I am eating the cost as I cannot put in for reimbursement and Scrubs Stop repeatedly promised to provide me the receipt but refuses to do so and does not have the responsibility to even call me to say what the delay is. Usually this type of problem is combined with concealing revenues but the bottom line is that I am out of pocket for the money as I have no invoice to turn in for reimbursement. read more

Very disappointed! I went in to buy at least three sets of scrubs and a pair of Dansko shoes. For a store being fairly large they didn't have any sizes. The girl who worked there said that there inventory was picked over and suggested that I go online to order my size. I was even willing to get another size if they had it..... They didn't . I not only left with no scrubs I couldn't even get the shoes I wanted because they didn't have my size. Way to go scrubs stop you could of easily made over three hundred dollars today if you had proper inventory. My business will go somewhere else. read more

THE SERVICE WAS AMAZING! I walked in needing to buy a scrub for my internship and I had googled this place beforehand. I went in and the owner immediately greeted me. He and this other worker both helped me and my friend out finding the perfect scrubs. They were super inviting and amazing to talk to! Super friendly and I would definitely go back to purchase more from them! And another plus to this would have to be the prices.
