This felt dismissive and uncomfortable. I also observed her speaking to employees in a disrespectful manner, which created a negative atmosphere. I would hate to work for someone that rude and nasty. Additionally, she was not wearing a visible name tag like the rest of the staff, which added to the lack of professionalism. This has never happened to me at any ULTA location I have visited before. We may have to move to New Jersey! 4. I had tried for 3 years to get a specific haircut and paid through the nose to get it done. Apparently it is impossible to do in Texas. Angii got it done in the first go round....cheaper...better...faster. HOW is this possible? 5. We stayed for 3 months at the Jersey Shore and I drove back each month to get my hair done here. I wonder if Texas is too far to drive back....?? 6. Oh, forgot to mention. Very comfortable, welcoming, friendly, clean, and if my sister-in-law is there when you go...you'll also meet one of the nicest people in the world along with Angii!

The salon itself is super clean and decorated nicely for Halloween - there was even candy and a whole mini fridge of drinks or coffee for clients to use. There was onsite parking as well. My stylist Dee was super friendly and helpful which was amazing because it had been a while since I last got highlights and wasn't sure what would look best. She asked for my opinion every step of the way and made sure the integrity of my hair was the priority. Absolutely love the finished product! I explained to the stylist Kim that I wanted just the split ends cut and my layers even out. I reminded her before and after I was shampooed and after she started cutting. Kim was very unorganized and seemed to struggle working with my hair that was "so long and thick" I asked if she was capable of doing what I asked for. She said it was a simple cut and would take 15 minutes. She then claimed that she couldn't see because my hair was so long and needed me to stand up so she could cut my hair. She kept me away from the mirror and just saying my previous haircut was so bad, and that she was gonna fix it. I trusted her. I should not have. She cut at least 9 inches of hair off, and thinned my hair til it was unrecognizable. I don't understand how this could even happen. I showed her an inspiration picture, along with multiple other stylists and they said it was totally achievable. not sure why Kim kept cutting after I told her repeatedly for a trim, and how much I liked the length of my hair. I had pre paid, but I tipped anyway. I left the appointment in shock. PLEASE be careful when booking. I don't want someone else loosing 2+ years of hair growth due to negligence. What I thought was cool was that they have a trash can with a vacuum next to each station to get all the hair from the floor, haha. I've never seen that in other salons. NOW, there is one big turn off for me. The owner is a little rude. My grandma has been going here for a long time now to get her haircut. She never seems to greet my grandma or I whenever I come to bring her to the salon. Also, she had some treats that she was giving to some of the customers and my grandma, but she looked at me and didn't offer me any. It's alright that I didn't get the candy, but that's a bit rude because one of her employees was telling her to offer me one in Tagalog (Filipino - which I can understand), but she didn't offer. She appears to be nice to all other customers except me or my grandma. If my grandma hadn't come here for years, I would tell her not to come back. The hair stylist, Jones, is absolutely wonderful. He is such a nice man and will always have a conversation with you. He also cuts hair so beautifully as he does with my grandma's hair.
