Great selection, fast install time! But...Felt rushed in the showroom. I was a bit surprised at how busy they were. Install was fast and professional. Single women please note: After the install, I was under The impression that I should have had a plumber standing around on the clock to work with them. I did not. Mistake. He came the next day. They took away my sink and counter fast. Did not leave vital parts I needed For plumber. Made me feel ignorant by saying " you should have done this and that". Wow what a rip off. When you go to a place for a quote and get a quote that's double of what Home Depot is gonna charge go here. A couple of cabinets and countertop for the kitchen $4000 and if it's installed $7000 and it doesn't stop there. They have no air conditioning and Fans blowing hot air all Over like that makes it any better. Was a horrible browsing experience, The staff was very unapproachable and very rude. All they want to know is how much you have budget for. So they can offer a quote thats double the price. So glad we see to shop around and look at real prices and got a contractor who doesn't gouge for installation. Save yourself time and don't fall for hero flashy pictures on social media, go find out for yourself. Multiple other places offered same items got 1/3-1/2 the price. Excellent costomer service! I had a quartize countertop and backsplash installed as part of my kitchen remodel. SCS tile has beautiful slabs of stone to choose from. When I called to tell them we were ready for the template for the countertop, they come out the next day! The countertop was ready in a week. Super fast! Have you ever had a countertop installation at MIDNIGHT? Yes, this company no-showed on the first scheduled installation day. The next day, which they scheduled for a second try at installation, they were 5 HOURS LATE...arriving at 5 pm and finishing the job after MIDNIGHT! We were not pleased, needless to say. We had children to get to bed and then we had to get up for work the next morning. This is a family owned and operated company that is a standout for countertops in Tucson because: * Extensive high quality on-site granite slab inventory. Big box stores and national tile/countertop branded stores buy and ship massive inventories throughout the country. Some of that inventory is pretty "Ho-Hum". Often what you get to see is what's left after the best stuff has been taken. SCS does not work that way. They travel to producing countries (e.g. Brazil, Malesia, Italy, etc.) and personally select every slab. So, there aren't any "also ran" slabs in stock. * Pay only for what you project needs: The slabs are HUGE. You are only charged for the stone that your project requires. SCS assumes they can sell the remainder to other customers. * Full service: SCS will measure, cut, edge, seal and install the stone. They are a full-service shop. We are novices, this was our first remodel, our contractor told us to check out SCS tile. Love our tile, it's beautiful, excellent price. There was some confusion around the delivery, I had to make several phone calls and stop in more than once which was frustrating. The owner promised to call me and never did. The guys working in the yard are SUPER helpful and ended up being the ones to make sure our tile got delivered. If you are picking up your own tile, great place. If you need it delivered just know it's going to be a little frustrating. We did end up with too much tile and they took it back no problem which I appreciated. Overall I would use them again, and we were new to this. That being said customer service from the owner could use some improvement. read more

I have been to SCS tile three times now. I purchased my tile flooring at Floor and Decor and after coming in to SCS to search for backsplash for my kitchen, i regretted not coming in sooner. Floor that I saw at other high end tile stores at really expensive prices were affordable here. I ended up purchasing tile for my shower and the backsplash in my kitchen. All of the tile I purchased is good quality - better than big box stores. I really appreciate the owner. He is helpful, kind, and worked with me on the prices. When we first visited the store I was impressed. They came Friday night after 5:30. The guy couldn't understand the countertop layout. This was the 3rd estimate for us. He took our tape measure left his that didn't work vary well. I mentioned it him. I had to call 4 times to get the estimate. Finally when he did send it it was way higher than our other two. As an update, Khalid responded to my review, offering to make it right. However, that's the extent of his follow-through. I've had no further contact from him. Basically, I received an empty promise that matches the empty invoices I received to justify the overcharges at the end of the installation. To give further information on this installation - every invoice I had to beg for a copy of, was blank except for an amount written to match the credit card charge slip which I also had to beg to receive. So I have no idea what was the justification for the charges as there were never any details. At this point, my floors are uneven to the point that shoes catch on the uneven tile, my baseboards are pulling away from the walls (the baseboards I paid to have installed by his crew), and I can't get any sort of contact from the owner. I take back what I said before. I wouldn't even buy the tile here in the future. read more

We recently had granite installed in our kitchen. The men did a good job of the installation of the granite with the exception of a few nicks in the walls. The reason for the one star rating? I had chosen a granite that would not show dirt. Apparently I did a great job because after the workmen left I found the counters were extremely dirty and still had lots of glue on them. (No wonder they left me two razor blades.) It took almost 4 hours to scrap off all the glue so we could have the counters sealed. When I went to the store and spoke to Khalid he gave me a half hearted, "I'm sorry." We have had granite installed before, when the workmen left the counters were spotless AND sealed. read more

We went there on our contractor's recommendation. We ordered some tile in mid October and were told that it would take 4 weeks. We gave them an extra two weeks. When we went to pick it up we were told it was back ordered and would be in "maybe" late January. I can't believe that he wouldn't have known at the time he ordered it. It's a place where once you have signed the order, nothing really mattered to him. After our contractor threatened never to recommend him again, we got a refund. We have been renovating our kitchen and going to our local big box stores for prices on tiles for backsplash. And by luck I ran into a friend and him telling us about SCS tile is one of the biggest best thing that could have happened to us. Staff was awesome and very helpful, they took their time, very patient with us. Showed us different colors of tile that we had in mind, even went out of their way to pull a piece of wood to see if it was a right staining to match her cabinets so we can plan our backsplash tiling. The price is out of this world there is no way we could have saved this much money by going to one of the big box stores. This was totally a godsend for total project that we're doing. We got such a deal on our tile and Khalid was beyond awesome on giving us options and pricing deals that they have going. definitely a go to place if you're doing tile work of floor backsplash or anything that involves tile these are the guys you want to go see. I purchase granite and had them install on Dec. 23. They were late with the installation and found out after that they had broke the granite and glued it back together, hoping we would not notice! We found 2 areas broken. One, across the sink area from front to back and another on a corner, which immediately broke off when leaned on. Khalid promised to replace the granite, but to this day has still not released the slabs to us and has not worked with our contractor to get the job finished. Beware- he will make many promises, but uses the bait and switch method very easily! Do not trust him! read more

I ordered a substancial tile order from SCS Tile and I did not receive what I was shown. When I picked out my tile I was shown a square roughly 18x18 travertine . Yesterday my contractor went to pick up the tile and it was a Versailles pattern. This pattern has 5 pieces, one of which is square. I went to see what the mix up was. The owner told me that I must have "forgotten" what type of tile I ordered and that he showed me all 5 pieces. I explained that he did not , he only showed me a square piece and that I even had him come give me an estimate to set it diagonal . I told him that if he had shown me all 5 pieces I would have never ordered that. He was adamant that I did not remember what I ordered. He said he would let me order new tile but I'd have to pay a 25% restocking fee. He said the contract says no refund. While I was there he raised his voice at me, so I raised mine back. It became a shouting match at at one point he yelled SHUT UP. I yelled the same back . There was no reasoning with him . Now the tile is going to cost more to install because it more complex and more pieces. I think he should pay for the additional cost of $3150.00 dollars. He was not forth coming with what I bought . I had my contractor pick up the tile and I left , there is no reasoning with him . I'm appalled that he would treat a customer that way and believe that as a customer I don't know what I ordered! I have filed a complaint with the BBB and will seek legal action if he does not pay for the additional cost of installing the tile . I think I am being more than reasonable . I will never shop here again and will make all know of this awful experience! read more
