We replaced 1,000 square feet of tile with luxury vinyl plank. In preparation we did A LOT of research and received several quotes. Apollo Flooring wasn't the least expensive but we based our decision on personality and the best company to work with. The fact that they've been in business since 1959 didn't hurt either. We were not disappointed. In fact, they Exceeded our expectations. Work done on schedule in a clean and professional manner and original contract adjusted to reflect actual work done. Apollo Flooring earned three stars specifically because the installation went well,the carpet looks nice and they were able to install in a quick timeframe. Would we use them again? Likely not. My husband and I stopped at the store to price out some carpet. We already had a professional measure our room, so we had dimensions with us for an estimate. We picked out carpet and received an estimate which included everything except sales tax. The sales person still needed to come to the house and do his own measurements (which were approximately the same as we had) and he brought a sample of the carpet as well as some other samples since he knew I wasn't thrilled about the color. After consulting with my husband via text, we decided to go with a carpet that according to the salesman, was cheaper than the original we picked out. When we sat down at the table, he added everything up and I was very surprised to find the price was more than what he quoted in the store even though this was supposedly less expensive (and better) carpet. After promising a quick timeframe for install, we decided to go ahead because we had family coming from across the country and needed time to get things done and get the room back together. We really didn't have time to mess with getting more estimates. The price discrepancy took one star from the review. The salesman cost the store another star because he broke the unwritten rules of sales, which is to never bring up politics or religion during a sale. We're buying carpet, not canvassing for a politician or looking for a church. I don't need to know who someone is voting for or what their religious beliefs are during a sale. The audacity of someone coming to my house and questioning my voting choices is astounding. If we weren't in a hurry to get this job done, we would have canceled the sale and showed him the door. He seemed like a nice guy but extremely inappropriate. read more

Our business had Apollo install VCT tile in the summer of 2020. Within a couple of months, black glue started coming up through the tile anywhere there was pressure, such as a desk chair or hand truck traffic. They came out once and cleaned up the glue. After that they said it was our responsibility. The floor continues to seep glue and the tiles are corroding where we are trying to clean/scrape it. We have talked with Apollo for the last two years trying to get this situation resolved. They say they have no responsibility to us - basically, we're out several thousands of dollars and they don't care. read more

About three years ago, we had three rooms of contractor-grade carpeting replaced with the best Mohawk Smartstrand from Apollo. We had this in our prior home and we're always very happy. Shortly after installation, we noticed a "seam" in the Master Bedroom, all the way across the room. This got continually worse over the next weeks. Apollo sent out their "best experts", and could find no reason for the seam, but there it is. Ultimately, they told us to "vacuum the carpet parallel to the seam". That's it. Needless to say, that didn't work and the seam persists today. I will never give them my business ever again. read more

Had wood floors put into the master bedroom. Apollo had installed wood floors years before, so we went back to them. Michael showed us different options then met us at the house so we could see the finalists in the actual room. Wood and glue were delivered in advance so that they would acclimate. Installers came in as scheduled and on time and knocked it out in 1 1/2 days. Floor looks amazing. Michael even contacted us to make sure we were 100% satisfied. I recently moved to Tucson and was calling around for the availability of carpet and an estimated install time. I had very poor customer service from Michael M. He interrupted me while I was talking to him and thought he would be humorous by saying Apollo Flooring had only one type of carpet. When I asked him about a brand of carpet Apollo had on their website, he said he wasn't sure what it was. Michael doesn't appear to be interested in generating business for Apollo or serving customers. His customer service skills are not what you would expect. read more

I went here a couple of times a few years ago for small purchases. Both times were "strange" experiences to say at best. They seem to have a good selection, which was nice. And I was greeted fairly quickly by salespeople which was also nice. A couple of the salespeople were okay and nice to work with. But there was one person there who seemed like he was always having a bad day and was kind of rude (don't know his name.) I was basically too uncomfortable to talk to him, but the other salespeople left when the rude one was there. I felt uncomfortable being in the store because it seemed like the salespeople didn't get along with each other (I'm not sure if my perception was accurate or not, but it's what it felt like to me.) The atmosphere felt uncomfortable to me inside the store. So I just bought something small the first time I was there and the second time it was pretty much the same thing-- I pretty much left without really buying anything big or making a large purchase. And I've never been back. It took me a few more years to find other better flooring stores-- I seem to have weird luck with these small "mom and pop" type stores so I've started avoiding them. I'm not sure if this store has improved or not in the last few years, but I'm unlikely to go back to find out. I do hope that the guy who always seemed to be having a bad day is doing better nowadays though (and yes I am being serious). read more

I needed a pretty specific carpet size for a small space, and got a great deal for an 8'X6' carpet ($20) because they were having a special. I was, however, charged $15 for cutting the carpet, but the carpet cutter, I was told, would not do anything fancy (I needed cut-outs for my wheel wells as this piece was going into my camper). Since I paid almost as much for the basic cutting as I did for the carpet itself, this seems unfair. I did the cutouts myself. The service is archaic, as Apollo is "old school" and the salespeople painstakingly fill out triplicate forms for everything as you sit and wait as if you're signing a government contract. read more

When we bought the flooring the sales guy said he had to do the measuring as our contractor wouldn't do it right. Turns out the Apollo sales guy couldn't get the measurements correct either. We bought two types of vinyl plank flooring one for our kitchen and one for our living room. Supposedly he measured so we'd have extra of each. We ran short of both types with no cuttings remaining. Now we have to wait for more, wait for the flooring to reacclimate and bring our contractor back out! read more

Shortly after we arrived in the store Scott waited on us. We were looking for laminate flooring. The store had a large selection of medium to high grade laminate. Scott listened to what we were looking for and showed us various samples. No high pressure sales pitch. Scott had previously owned his own store and was very knowledgeable. Scott called to check if the material was delivered as promised and it was. The day installation began he called that evening to see if we were happy with the way it was proceeding. He again called at the completion to verify we were happy with the completed installation prior to paying the installers. The installation crew was very experienced. They moved the heavy furniture and worked nonstop. The temperature outside was about 112 degrees. They went in and out cutting material closing the door each time. They were also very responsive to any requests we made. They volunteered to add felt pads to the bottom of our furniture to prevent scratches to our new flooring. We supplied the felt pads. I can recommend Apollo flooring. Call ahead and arrange to meet with Scott. read more

Terrible, terrible, terrible. They are incredibly difficult to work with when it comes to scheduling installation. They'll schedule a time to install and not show up. Then when you call they tell you their installer forgot some tool or some other lame excuse. There were multiple occasions of this for me and not once did anyone think to be courteous and call me to let me know of scheduling changes. read more

they put new carpet in my home 3 times, it has had a seam down the middle of my living room on each one, the last time they told me to contact the reg. of contractors, they were done . when I stopped payment on the carpet, they told my credit card people that they couldn,t make me happy ,like it was my fault that each time their was a seam in the middle of my room.my old carpet didn,t have a seam and it was several years old. I told them to take their carpet and return my money and they told me I signed a contract. the business manger is very rude and he thinks he knows it all. stay away from this carpet place.the reason I changed colors each time on a darker color, I thought it might be the color, since my old carpet was dark. they made it sound like that was the reason I go new carpet. I hope this saves someone else all the work that goes into clearing the room. read more
