Pictures of work done look great which is why we reached out for a quote. Knowing nothing about how much a kitchen remodel costs we stated a $10K budget. Tim came out Friday 7/28 and after seeing our kitchen stated he had squeezed another remodel in for just over $10K so we were hopeful. Waited almost (3) weeks now for a quote following up every few days via text message for a quote I was promised on 8/3 and zilch. Finally sent a text 8/14 stating "should I expect to see a quote or proceed with another contractor?" Get a text today 8/16, that says "we're booked on a lot of other jobs that are taking all of my attention. At this point it's probably best to go with another company." To say we're pissed is an understatement. As if a kitchen remodel (replacing cabinets not refacing) isn't already a time sucking process there are contractors like Tim/SCV Construction & Remodel that waste peoples time and don't have consideration for others. They may do good work but their communication stinks to the max and I will stear everyone I can away from them and to companies that value client experience regardless of the job dollar amount. read more

We just completed our kitchen remodel and it was amazing! Tim was fantastic to work with and kept us in loop with the progress of the construction. He gave a timeframe of 2 weeks to complete the project and IT WAS completed in two weeks. Tim is awesome! Had a very ugly lightbox in our kitchen that he made into a beautiful soffit with can lights. It was exactly what we wanted and are so happy we did it. Also tore out a fluorescent light box in one of our bathrooms that made it go from a public park bathroom look to a normal guest bathroom. And all the while his wife had had a baby while working with my pregnancy deadline. Definitely calling him back later down the road when we are ready for some major remodeling. read more

Tim has been wonderful and refreshing to work with. His crews are top notch, very approachable, clean, and work with a high level of skill. The crews he sent out were always professional and friendly. Tim is honest, true to his word, and delivers an awesome finished product. He follows up to make sure everything is satisfactory. Everything I've had done is well above. He works with busy fluctuating schedules. I felt I could have left my keys with him and come back to a cleaner house than I left ( in most cases). However I probably drove his crews crazy as I was always around looking over their shoulders because of a prior bad experience and working with contractors in my career. They never even sighed if I changed something mid process or questioned how anything was done. Tim and his crews are eager to please and take time to explain processes. I would love to use them for more work, unfortunately I think the rest of SCV had discovered him and is almost too busy to give a quote currently, or wait time is beyond my current patience level with my OCD of having a neat and tidy house. The end result would be worth every bit of time and money. Highly recommend this construction company, and can't wait till my next big project to hire him again. As a side note, Tim or Patrick would always go over the estimate and bill at time of payment even without me requesting to do so. I never felt swindled or surprised, by what I owed. My wife and I have used Tim for a few small project and then we had him do a complete kitchen remodel. Tim took out all of our old cabinets and counter tops. He redesigned our kitchen and relocated our sink and dishwasher. The plans that he came up with seemed like a completely different kitchen. He was clean and respectful to our time line. Seemed great until he ghosted on his bid. Very unprofessional and disrespectful to potential clients. I assume based on our experience and other reviews that he is only interested in jobs of 30k+. If that's his niche it would save all parties involved time and energy if he would clearly state state that upfront. Apparently a quick email to avoid a bad situation is more difficult than a long, tedious Yelp response? ‍FYI our final project is 35k+, all we needed was a patient professional to help us work through the cost and planning. read more

SCV Construction just finished a remodel on my parents' bathroom and it turned out perfectly. Not only is it beautifully updated but it also fits in with the style of their home and they love it. Tim also helped my parents in the designing of it by giving them ideas to help them decide what they wanted. He has an artistic eye along with his excellent skills and experience in construction. All the different workers involved in this project did excellent work and were respectful of my parents' home. Tim was good about letting them know when to expect the workers to arrive, and each worker was careful to protect the home as they worked. I called SCV Construction after my original contractor flaked on our bathroom remodel. Tim was able to fit our job into his schedule and started working within 2 days of us firing the other guy. We were given a timeline of 30 days to complete the remodel of our master bathroom. He not only completed the job in time but was able to squeeze in some other bedroom remodeling. Everything looks fantastic. My wife actually took a shower this morning and stayed in there for 45 minutes. She said it was like a Hawaiian Resort Hotel. Tim did an amazing job remodeling our master bathroom, which involved removing a wall, adding a new wall and moving the plumbing. He even guided me through the design process, providing plenty of examples of prior work he had done. It did take longer to hear back from him in the beginning for initial meetings and estimates than other contractors I contacted, but once we got going he was very timely and committed. He finished within the quoted timeframe, and some of his subs even offered to work weekends. We stayed *mostly* on budget; the only reason I went over was because of more expensive options I chose during the process - not his fault! He's very hands on and involved in every step. For example when one sub completed a wall that he was not happy with, he had it completely redone by someone else. His tile guys are amazing- very detail-oriented. Besides the quality workmanship, it was important to me that I felt comfortable in my own home, since I am a stay at home mom with two little ones. It's not easy having a crew of men in and out of your house for weeks, but I felt totally safe the entire time. I will definitely use SCV Construction again for my next project. read more

While I was installing flooring I found out I had a leak under my foundation. I called Tim at 5pm and he didn't hesitate to show up at my house to help.
