We had an issue where the supplier sent tile that was completely off color to the provided sample - this tile was completely installed in our vanity area before we saw it and picked up on the issue. Dave had it ripped out, sent back, and the correct tile installed all within a 24 hour period, no questions asked. I believe Dave's father was ill in hospital during this entire time yet he managed to provide a strong customer experience. All in all, a great local business and asset to the community. They showed up on time every morning, communicated clearly throughout the project, and even sent me progress photos every evening before they left so I always knew what had been accomplished. They kept the work area incredibly clean (which is so rare), and I never felt like I was living in a construction zone. They also went above and beyond by helping with things that weren't really their responsibility, including assisting with installing my bathroom cabinet and helping with the countertop. That level of professionalism and kindness is hard to find. I received several bids before starting this project, and while they weren't the cheapest, they were worth every penny. You may forget the money you saved by hiring the lowest bidder, but you will definitely remember the headache of having to redo bad work. Choosing these guys saved me from that. Went into their store last week and the first thing…read moreI explained is that three different people's escrow is all riding on the date we need for installing new counters, so all parties could close escrow in our five day deal. I even agreed to pay more than the other contractors estimates so we could get a date confirmed. George confirmed a date. He then guaranteed the date after I stressed again how important it was that this was the most important thing for our timeline. My husband and I asked him to write it up so I could pay a deposit to confirm the date. George says "Oh, I will just email it to you." I said "we will wait. How long can it take?" He says "20 minutes." I told him "it's ok, we will wait." He starts stuttering/huffing and puffing about it making it seem that he doesn't want us to wait and he guarantees that we will get the contract within 20 minutes. We leave. 20 minutes go by..an hour goes by..then it's past 5 o'clock. We email him to ask him what happened. No response again. He then emails back the following day with an apology and the contract. Done. He tells me to come in to pick materials. I go in today to pick up materials and he tells me that he hoped I went somewhere else and went with another company because he can no longer do the date he confirmed. We already signed all of the escrow paperwork so did the sellers of the property we are purchasing and the buyers of our property. We are now starting our five days on the day that he confirmed and he tells me that he cannot start for another five days. Totally unacceptable behavior for a businessman. especially after I stressed how important this was .I asked him to please call the client and have them move out and he said no he doesn't want to make a client upset! I explained to him that what he did was unacceptable. He could've at least called me or emailed me. He said it didn't matter. Terrible businessman. Totally disregard of clients time. Unprofessional. Left us in a bad position now. Not only will I never work with him, but I will never refer anybody to his business and advise everybody to stay far away. Do yourself a favor and do not even attempt to do business with George. Check his other negative reviews as they speak for themselves. Terrible customer service.
