I now live in another part of california so i opted in for a virtual visit. (i have been in the ER 6 times this past year). I unexpectedly got called into work to take a trip to chicago. I wanted the appointment changed due to me working 24/7 while on these work trips, but if they absolutely could not change it, then i would take it from chicago, not an issue. The lady starts yelling at me over the phone telling me the call is recorded and that I am not allowed to take the call from chicago (while i reside in ca). I thought this was really unprofessional. She told me next availability is 4 months from today. She also told me they TRACK WHERE I AM DURING THESE VIDEO VISITS. I thought this was so inappropriate. Isn't this a VIOLATION of my privacy??? She then transferred me to my doctors office. My doctor told me she can see me on Thursday with no issues while I take the call before my work trip.

Called and informed them 20 min late. 2. Front desk at El Camino Health Pediatrician at 555 Knowles turned us away. Explained my daughter had cough and wanted to check for asthma symptoms. Front desk lacked empathy and turned us away. We were late due to traffic but wow no options given. 3. Took my daughter to Good Sam ER. Physician Dr. Dapar MD (5 Stars). Nurse Practitioner K. Greene PA (5 Stars). The X-Ray tech from Santa Cruz (5 Stars). All had conversations with my daughter because as she told me "it was a scary experience for her." They made her feel comfortable. The mobile X-ray was efficient, the radiologist's diagnosis was swift. My daughter was also born at this hospital. What an epic experience. Major kudos to the team at Good Sam. Live long and prosper folks!

We waited a short time and then we were called in to be seen by Dr. Iliana Harrysson. She was absolutely fabulous. I felt like we were in good hands and we were being seen, heard and understood. She recommended we go to a clinic closer to our house next time. But, I would rather drive far to see her and be in good hands, then drive close and have a different Dr. Thank you Express Care for exceeding my expectations!

Anyways, I was so emotionally exhausted that I believe I just mentally crashed when given a bed and was finally safe. Natividad staff was nice and just let me sleep and rest while they gave me medication etc. I ended up staying there as a patient for 2 days. The staff was very kind in being sensitive when asking question or preforming uncomfortable tasks about the situation but when I was moved to a different part of the hospital, or basically no longer an Emergency Room Patient anymore, things definitely changed!!! I was taken to a part of the hospital where they basically strip you down and take pictures of you to send to the police to help them create a police report. I am glad that I had more say in the matter than the lady was actually putting off and I was able to say no to a few things that I felt very uncomfortable with, especially because the cops would be receiving these documents and who knows what they would actually do with this information. Anyways the lady taking these pictures and preforming tests was a very cold individual. She wasn't very comforting during this process at all. She did have an assistant with her that I was very grateful for...she said she was going to be there the next day when I was going to have to come back to complete the rest of the testing and come to find out she never showed. That actually really upset me because I was feeling very vulnerable and uneasy during this whole process. I also have major trust issues and don't open up to random people but for some reason I really liked her. Instead of her they had a different person come and advocate and try and support me and my needs I guess. It was a male and to be honest I was extremely upset and uncomfortable about this. It was awkward. I thought that I was going to get a referral to a DV shelter or somewhere safe to go for like a week or at least a night. ...seeing as I am a single female and am currently homeless on the streets by myself with nothing to protect myself. They also hadn't caught the guy that assaulted me yet and I really honestly was very scared. I tried calling shelters but everyone was full and just put me on a wait list! I was given a Visa card that had $250 on it, they said for me to get a hotel room for a night so that I would be safe?!!?!?!? I was very grateful but the card ended up getting stollen and I received literally no money or support at all!!! I immediately called them back and explained what had happened and how it was stollen but they said that they could not do anything more for me and that was that!!! I was very grateful at first because I was told I was going to get all this help and wouldn't have to worry...I would have a place that's safe to stay...That was not the case at all!!! I received x1 Visa card with $250 that got stollen and so basically I received no help at all! I really would have thought Natividad would have done a lot better than what was received! I really pray that no one has to go through what I went through at Natividad. I really hope that they get more resources to help females like myself, who doesn't have anyone. I know they have to have the money/resources to at least do better then what was provided to me when I was attacked...but I literally got NOTHING!!! All they did was give me Tylenol and an ice pack, and sat me in the lobby. No clean up on the wound or nothing, my husband and father had to literally tell the staff to get something to cover it and even then the staff was so slow and unwilling to help. Ended Up leaving after x rays because I had already been there 3 hours and no updates or help that was asked for. HIGHLY DONT recommend this hospital if you want proper care.

My questions were not "burden to them". I took one star for the lack of supplies. Supplies were ordered, but ER did not get the delivery. I do hot know how the lack of needed supplies affected my treatment. The valcro for the sling did not stay, slipping down. I was told to buy a better one. I am using shoe laces to hold it in place. Mainly, the set of "the employees - all of them" who attended me were the best.

All the staff were super nice. I have a couple of negative comments... The Physical Therapist that cared for her knew how to manipulate/handle her and move her to the position he was trying to get her in, but I feel he was a bit careless. In the process of moving her, her NG tube came out. Luckily she was at a point where they were going to give her a swallow evaluation later that day, so they left it out. The next day, when he came back, he inadvertently pulled on the IV tube pretty hard. It didn't come out, but that could have been bad too. Also, before my mom was discharged, I asked the doctor if they ran any tests to confirm that the UTI was gone. His response was "We don't do follow up tests. We just know that our treatment works and the UTI is gone" I'm far from a medical professional, but that response did not sit well with me.

But very much hit and miss with the attending physicians and overnight nurse practitioner. I'm conflicted as to whether a uniformly competent caring ICU staff would have made the true difference between life, limbo and death. But I'm not conflicted in my opinion as to the general experience my family had at Seton Hospital ICU: Disappointing.

They helped manage my pain and helped make me comfortable throughout my stay. Whenever I needed anything, I used the nurse button on the remote and someone would come by promptly to help me. I know all the nurses work so hard and sometimes don't get the recognition they deserve. I have to say, these were some of the best nurses I have ever had caring for me before. I brought a friend to the emergency room due to severe abdominal pain. Upon arrival, my friend was…read moreexperiencing such intense pain that they could barely stand, sit, or communicate effectively. Despite being visibly distressed, they remained in the waiting area for approximately three hours before being evaluated. This experience raises several concerns. Why are patients who are visibly in severe pain kept in the general waiting area for prolonged periods? Why are they not placed in a more secluded or quiet space where they can rest comfortably while awaiting evaluation? The waiting room appeared to be cold (55F), crowded, and noisy, with patients, visitors, and families sharing the same space. Although signs promoting a "Healing Hush" environment were posted, the noise level and overall environment did not seem conducive to someone experiencing significant pain. Additionally, does the Emergency Department have designated spaces for patients with varying levels of clinical conditions? Patients with severe pain, limited mobility, or obvious distress may benefit from a separate observation or treatment area rather than remaining in a busy public waiting room. Another concern involved the urine specimen that had already been collected. We were later informed that the specimen could not be located and were asked to provide another sample. For a patient experiencing severe abdominal pain, this was both difficult and frustrating. The request felt abrupt and added unnecessary inconvenience and distress during an already challenging situation. This prolonged our wait in the ED While I understand that emergency departments often face high patient volumes and must prioritize patients based on clinical urgency, patients who are visibly suffering deserve greater comfort, privacy, timely reassessment, and better coordination of care. My intention in providing this feedback is not to criticize the staff, who work under challenging conditions, but to better understand the process and encourage improvements that prioritize patient dignity, comfort, safety, and the overall patient experience. Id like to indicate this in the patient survey too
