Scythe brewing is a really cool place. It has quite the Western vibe going, and reminded me a lot of Rawhide in Scottsdale. The private parking lot has many parking spaces and is easy to maneuver. I came here to see a band, and while there was a party of 26 there for an anniversary celebration, it was still possible to see the band (albeit from a long distance). I get the idea that a lot of the patrons there are regulars, as most seemed to know the staff and vice-versa. Many in the party of 26 (of which I wasn't a member) engaged me in conversation, and made me feel like I was part of the celebration. This was REALLY cool, and seemed to be the vibe of the whole place. Staff was VERY friendly and helpful. The food was also better than expected (with the exception of the packaged saltines served with the clam chowder...they were stale beyond belief). The soup itself was good, but not great. The steak bites were cooked to a perfect medium, and had a wonderful bark, making for a very enjoyable meal. Portion size is big. I'm looking forward to my next trip, which will likely be the next time the band plays there.

Scythe Brewing = two thumbs up Eclectic, welcoming ambiance. Friendly service. Decidedly different and delectable beer. Good food, served up fast.

Love the wheat row room divider.

Scythe Brewing seems to be the new brewery for the Longview and Kelso area. Set up is pretty nice and fresh looking. Beer here isn't too bad. Not the most memorable for sure but enjoyable enough. I tried their Cold IPA, Pilsner, Hazy Pale Ale and a Porter and a few others from a taster flight. In the end I think I liked the pilsner the best. The food is what slides this place into four stars . I had Cauliflower Tacos with a hot honey on it. They were very good and flavorful... especially with the hot honey. I got the hotter variety. Service was good and they can their beer so you can get it to go. For t shirts... they were out of stock on a few sizes but I eventually found one I wanted and an XL is what I went with which is a size that works for me.

Love the environment, fun and open. We had the nachos and they were really good! The pulled pork was superb. Service was also very good! Servers worked together to make sure our drinks were full and food was good!

    Muscles! Very good!

Interesting menu and locale. Good staff. Such a shame that everything was soggy and the fries were limp and greasy.

Quality beer, growler fills, and a very tidy and upscale environment, are all reasons I will be back.

The Cruban is a whole lotta goodness - blending a Rueben and a Cubano, arguably the two best sandwiches around, into one perfect bite.

Much has changed here since my last review, so I thought I should update it…read more They have expanded the space inside to include a larger bathroom, which is awesome considering they only had one gender neutral bathroom available when we first started coming here. There are more tables too, both normal height and high tops. They've also added a pool table and cornhole, in addition to the original ping pong table. Their menu has evolved as well. In addition to pizzas, sandwiches and appetizers, they've added a Bavarian pretzel with beer cheese, spinach artichoke dip and ice cream floats. They have a nice variety of beers and ciders. Staff is always friendly and helpful. We love their QR code ordering system. It helps you get your food faster and you can just pay your tab on your phone. Such a convenience! You can also make reservations online, which is great for large parties. As others have mentioned, it is located in an odd industrial area set back from the main road. It's easy to miss if you're not watching for their sign. There's plenty of parking and a large outdoor seating area during the summer. Their food prices have gone up, and some items seem a little steep now, but that seems to be happening everywhere nowadays.

As a self proclaimed clam chowder connoisseur I take the hunt for delicious clam chowder throughout…read morethe PNW coastal area very seriously. Each beach town my husband I travel to, I spend far too much time reading reviews about clam chowder. If only I spent as much energy in other areas of my life as I do "internet-researching" clam chowder, who knows what I could accomplish. I must say that the clam chowder at Werner Beef & Brew is exactly what I have been hunting for. It is the perfect texture and consistency. It has a spectacular balance of clam to potato ratio, and the potatoes are cooked to perfection. They don't have too much bite, nor do they disintegrate into mush the moment they enter your mouth. The chowder itself was worth traveling from Rockaway to Tillamook for. It was even worth a more industrial view vs. an establishment with a more coastal and picturesque backdrop. The salad bar was on point. The variety of salad add-ins, dressings, and topping crunchy-bits were epic. It was a nice balance to the very rich perfect chowder I am already missing. I miss it. I miss the chowder. My husband also got the fish tacos, based on others' reviews and enjoyed every bite. I enjoyed their Dragon Fruit Cider, and he ordered one of their Meaty Bloody Mary's. If you are on the fence if you should order one, you should. You should get that bloody mary. The bloody mary then led us to purchase some of their salami and bologna. It was an elevated version of the sandwich meat my grandpa used with white bread, yellow mustard (off-brand), ice burg lettuce, and a slice of cheddar cheese. Mid-life has me craving nostalgia. It might be the hormone imbalance, but salami white bread sandwiches, here I come.

Hidden secret in a somewhat industrial area. If you didn't know it was there, you'd never find it,…read morebut we're glad we did. The guy at Tillamook recommend Werner for our lunch. We are glad we found it, as the food and beer/cider were yummy.
