It takes a moment to find this place, as it's tucked behind the railroad tracks in an unassuming industrial building, but it's SO worth the search! Great burger and tasty fish tacos (although they were a little heavy on the jalapeño for my taste). They also have a salad bar, which is hard to find these days. Friendly service behind the counter and several young people bussing tables and delivering food.

Cool industrial vibe to this place. Friendly service and quick. Ordered the French Dip. Nicely stacked sandwich with delicious Au Jus dipping. Hubby got the Sweet hot wings and raved about them. Hot, crispy and actually quite big. Thought it a little odd to only get 4 but they were pretty big. Slighty on the pricy side for the portion size but over all a good meal.

Delicious burgers and fries. Service was really fast. The portions are very filling. Kids food was great too!

Buried in what looks like a trucker station somewhere in rural Texas, Werner Beef & Brew is in fact one of Tillamook's most well-known restaurants. Since the city barely has over 5,000 people (#1), it would be safe to assume the majority of their daily crowds are tourists. However since the food and the service is so good, it would also be a mistake to pass this place up. The industrial feel and warehouse looking premises make the location easier to miss than most. The massive American flag gives off serious Texas vibes. Once in the parking lot, the place is reminiscent of a modern brewery, with ample indoor and outdoor seating options. Step up to the counter and make an order and food will be brought directly to the table. Their simple but robust menu is centered around their craft beer and a hearty selection of tacos, burgers, sandwiches, and daily dinner specials of ribeye steak and salmon. They have themed nights Taco Tuesday ($2 off all tacos) as well as live music on Fridays. The clam chowder has to be one of the best I've had in Oregon. It is creamy, wonderfully seasoned, and addicting with every bite. The chunks of potato were nearly perfect and nearly overtook the clams on the tasty scale. It was so good that I ended up ordering two more bowls for the road and to indulge again post food coma. The fish tacos were also a surprisingly excellent option. While the cuts of fish were not the largest, they were certainly among the tastiest. The cilantro crema has a really nice kick and the combination of the tortilla, mini slice of avocdao, and slaw made for a nice bite. Their baked potato skin were the perfect crunchy and salty appetizer. The hearty chili with the frito lay chips were also excellent. While I appreciate the portion of the in-house potato salad which includes chunks of bologna, it was their by far their most lackluster dish. The condiment station includes ranch, which is genius. A big shout out to their pellet ice machine; a true highlight for all cold drinks lovers. Perhaps the biggest highlight of all was their exemplary customer service. The young staff was on it in terms of offering quality suggestions, diligent about keeping the bathrooms clean, and bussing tables quickly to keep the flow of people going. They were professional and super friendly. I am sure I'll find myself in Tillamook again in the near future. When I do, I plan on making Werner Beef and Brew a-must visit stop on the itinerary. _____________ (#1) Which is technically a town.

    Pretzel with Cheese
    Steve L.

Stopped here before a game for a quick bite real quick. It was sunny and beautiful so I grabbed a spot outside in the sun. I ordered the pretzel inside and I also ordered a hazy. I was a little disappointed in the fact that there were only like 5 beers to choose from on tap, but it at least was a good beer. When they delivered my pretzel to the table I was amazed by how big it was. It was definitely a shareable appetizer. However, the cheese sauce left a lot to be desired. It tasted exactly like Tostitos Queso from a jar that you buy in the chip isle at the store. It's fine, but not what I would like to dip my pretzel in. All in all, it was a fine experience. 6.4/10 I'd stop again if I was with a group and they wanted to go there, but I'd probably choose somewhere else if it's just me again.

The food was amazing with a healthy portion of tri tip on my sanwhich. Clean with good service. It is one of those "IYKYK" kind of places. And I had plenty of meal envy seeing what other tables had ordered.

I love their salad bar. Best one in town! My husband got the Mook Burger with tator tots and he devoured it. Food came out right away. Seating inside and outside. The outside has heated lamps. Definitely recommended.

    Clam chowder
    Mai S.

We had clam chowder, fish tacos, and a flight of beer. The service wasn't great. Seemed like they weren't engaged. The atmosphere was kind of cool. It's weird to drive into because you're going to an industrial area. I liked the chowder ok but the beer and tacos were ok at best. The tortillas for the tacos seemed like they hadn't even been heated up.

    Clam chowder!

The jerky outlet was awesome with really affordable prices and a variety of flavors, including tons of sugar-free options. They had your classic beef jerky, pepperoni sticks, and sausage sticks. There was this 2 foot long sausage stick package in a variety of flavors that as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to get it. It was impressively long and looked juicy. Tillamook Country Smoker is a grab and go spot. The shop is a tiny building with a small parking lot, but easy to find parking. It's right off the 101, super convenient. It feels like county fair pricing -- except at least at the fair, you get way more food. I ordered a $15 cheeseburger that looked more like a slider. The bun was cold, the patty was barely warm, and it tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. Not great. Fries were the only solid part of the meal -- and ironically, they were bigger than the burger. We also tried the fried cheese curds, but the batter was too thick and hard, and they were lukewarm. They'd be much better with a lighter, crispier coating. A single square slice of pizza? $10. A 12oz milkshake? $8. Meanwhile, the $4 kids' ice cream was huge -- basically adult-sized. Sadly, after this visit, I don't think I'll be coming.

What a fabulously wonderful, relaxing restaurant / garden / petting zoo and gift-shop. The grounds are abound with potted plants and flowers. I entered what can best be described as a large, deli-gift-shop. Ordering takes place at the deli counter, a number is given, and food is delivered to your table. There is a fountain area, a coffee bar and a refrigerated cooler for drinks. The wine section is expansive and beautifully displayed. I can't speak to the quality, as I didn't partake in adult beverages. The shop is comprehensive with loads of deli-like merchandise, boutique items and souvenirs. They offer a lot of hand-crafted and locally-made fare, which is my preference. The food was outstanding! I order the cheese charcuterie with salami and my husband ordered the Blue Heron Classic. What a delight, and with plenty of left-overs. It was such a gorgeous day I visited the Candy Shop for an ice cream cone (Tillamook, of course) and walked the grounds for peacock viewing. The Blue Heron has picnic tables outside, so I sat and enjoyed the sun for a while. It was an ideal escape!
