    Beer

Location is great and we stopped for a drink. Of course, I know that it is a prime location so expect pricey menu items. My husband said his beer wasn't super cold and my Shirley was also okay. The onion rings were very good. Service was ok! Ambiance was also okay- music wasn't super loud and I could hear peoples convos talking from far away.

Came here yesterday for the first time in two years and just as good as I remembered. I got the onions rings of course GF and the chicken wings with garlic Parmesan sauce. Onion rings were crispy and had great flavor. I had a GF blueberry cider that was quite delicious. One of my friends got the fish and chips and said it was excellent. Tomato soup was very good. My other friend got the pretzel with cheese sauce and said it was very good and the clam chowder that was great. Was a sunny day so were able to side out on their nice patio. Dog friendly patio. Enjoy knowing I'm getting celiac safe food. Food comes out quickly and staff is always friendly and knowledgeable about GF safe items on the menu.

A place in Cannon Beach that was open beyond 4 and had veg options! Win win. My husband and I both got the black bean burger with fries. It was freshly made and tasted good albeit with too much lettuce in it. The fries that came with it were phenomenal. Crispy and seasoned perfect. Husband tried one of their craft beers and enjoyed it. Prices were reasonable.

Great brews but food was very disappointing! Visited this brewery and ordered some beers and food. The beer was great was a local lager and refreshing. I was sadly disappointed with the burger I ordered. It looked great but when I tried it the burger patty was tasteless. I felt like it had no seasoning or flavor whatsoever. I even tried there onion rings and same thing. Beers were great but food not so great. Of course service is always great and helpful. The location is also amazing because it's right by the Oregon coast.

Perfect ambiance: woodsy, cozy feel right near town center. Beer and fish & chips were great! It's a walk-up order counter then seat yourself--servers friendly and attentive. Love their motto: Beaches Forever--Beer for Everyone!

Best glass of beer on the North Coast. Full stop. Cannon Beach has plenty of places to stop in for a bite or a drink, but Public Coast tops the beer list. Just go down Hemlock past most of the downtown area and you can't miss it. In 'warmer months' the hydrangeas make the whole place stand out. The patio area is almost as big as their indoor seating area, and with good reason. Cannon Beach summer weather is simply spectacular and it's perfect for marrying a beer, a patio, & some local fare. They open at noon each day and there is generally a line forming right before they crack the doors. That's how you know it's good! There are probably half a dozen year-round beers with seasonal alternatives mixed in. They even have gluten-reduced options (think seltzers) for those that are sensitive to that kind of thing. I opted for a tall glass of their Coconut Brown, a brown ale with some chocolatey & tropical notes. Smashingly good beer! My wife likes things a little light and chose their '67 Blonde, a very drinkable lager with a crisp finish. Both of those went nicely with my lunch of choice, the pulled pork sammich, because a KC kid needs to sample a BBQ game from afar. Great sandwich, tender pork, some spicy oomph to the sauce, and crispy slaw & jalapeños on top. But the real hook was the platter of fish and chips that my wife inhaled. Beer-battered, tender pieces of seasonal white fish, plated up with a side, and served with lemon wedges & tartar sauce and WOWZA! Simply outstanding! The lightness of the fish and the flavor of the coating paired *perfectly* with her '67 Blonde. We also added a half-order of onion rings, most of which were the size of life preservers and battered much like the fish - unbelievably good! Public Coast is on the North Coast Food Trail and is touted for its inclusion as an ocean-friendly restaurant. They serve up Oregon fare, like Tillamook dairy products and others, Public Coast even tends their own farm for sourcing. The PNW gets down like that: sustainability, local sourcing, and fierce regional pride show up and show out. Public Coast represents that and more, brewing fabulous beer, serving 'good grub', and cultivating that coastal Oregon experience to a T. Dogs are welcome, with posted rules, and there are usually plenty of them. It's a great spot, and you simply can't go wrong.

Stopped by Cannon Beach to soak in the coastal views and kept hearing great things about this brewery -- happy to report it absolutely lived up to the hype. From the moment we walked in, the space impressed -- spacious, beautifully designed, and full of personality. The merch shop alone is worth a browse, with some of the coolest hats, shirts, books, and more. A really fun touch that adds to the overall experience. I was traveling with someone who has celiac, and it was such a relief to find a place that's so accommodating and knowledgeable about gluten-free options. That alone made it stand out. We ordered a little bit of everything -- chicken wings, a burger, garlic parmesan dirty fries, and onion rings with a root beer BBQ sauce that was seriously next level. Paired it all with a bottle of wine, and we were set. Everything came out hot, flavorful, and satisfying. The service was fantastic -- friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It's clear they care about both their food and their guests. This spot is definitely worth a visit if you're in town. Whether you're gluten-free or not, the food, service, and atmosphere all deliver.

Food was good: we had fish and chips Was a big enough portion to split for lunch. Notably, no slaw. Beer was good. Ambience: was pretty good. We sat outside on a cool and cloudy day, warmed by the large fire pit. Ya order inside and they give you a buzzer/locator food and beer is delivered to you. So, not the traditional type of service. But it works.

#1 Brewery in Oregon! Don't forget to visit the farm along 26 during summer! Oh, and they also have a root beer that will knock your socks off! The food is seasonal and tasty! Not your typical fried pub affair. NW Honey Red Ale is my favorite beer and has become a mild addiction:) Here is a picture of their NYE Black Eyed Peas and Greens with corn bread to make your mouth water. The staff is friendly and ready to help or talk brews. Always enjoy visiting Public Coast and hanging out on the heated patio during the winter!

We stopped by public coast brewing yesterday and really enjoyed ourselves. Easy to find parking. Kid friendly. inside and outside seating, we sat outside also dog friendly . Great selection on tap I drank a blackberry cider and loved it. Everything we had to eat was great but the fish and chips was a hit! Cooked and seasoned to perfection. Service was phenomenal super friendly brought everything out to us, no complaints.

As a self proclaimed clam chowder connoisseur I take the hunt for delicious clam chowder throughout…read morethe PNW coastal area very seriously. Each beach town my husband I travel to, I spend far too much time reading reviews about clam chowder. If only I spent as much energy in other areas of my life as I do "internet-researching" clam chowder, who knows what I could accomplish. I must say that the clam chowder at Werner Beef & Brew is exactly what I have been hunting for. It is the perfect texture and consistency. It has a spectacular balance of clam to potato ratio, and the potatoes are cooked to perfection. They don't have too much bite, nor do they disintegrate into mush the moment they enter your mouth. The chowder itself was worth traveling from Rockaway to Tillamook for. It was even worth a more industrial view vs. an establishment with a more coastal and picturesque backdrop. The salad bar was on point. The variety of salad add-ins, dressings, and topping crunchy-bits were epic. It was a nice balance to the very rich perfect chowder I am already missing. I miss it. I miss the chowder. My husband also got the fish tacos, based on others' reviews and enjoyed every bite. I enjoyed their Dragon Fruit Cider, and he ordered one of their Meaty Bloody Mary's. If you are on the fence if you should order one, you should. You should get that bloody mary. The bloody mary then led us to purchase some of their salami and bologna. It was an elevated version of the sandwich meat my grandpa used with white bread, yellow mustard (off-brand), ice burg lettuce, and a slice of cheddar cheese. Mid-life has me craving nostalgia. It might be the hormone imbalance, but salami white bread sandwiches, here I come.

I have gotten the breakfast burrito when having breakfast and would characterize it as large, yet underwhelming in taste. None of the beers that i have tried are particularly memorable, but they are very drinkable. The service is courteous and they strive to keep the tables clean. The ordering here is done at the counter and I have found this to be a great way of taking orders in a casual establishment. This allows one to peruse the menu at a table at one's own speed, then walk up to the counter to ask any questions about the menu and then place the order. My experiences have been that the employee at the register has always been patient, informative and respectful. They bring your order to your table when it is ready. My experience is that they give you a conservative estimate of the time for preparing and the real time has been shorter. Note that I think they do a good job with turnaround times given how many customers are in the restaurant combined with their apparent significant take-out business. My dinner experiences have been very satisfying and that is what one would expect from a meat purveyor. However, they do not fumble the ball on the execution. Casual food, but tasty. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating: plenty of both. Part of the outside seating is heated and covered during much of the year. I have never been there when you could not choose a table. I think a great casual stop, and a unique one, when visiting the Tillamook area.

I ordered the 3 piece fish and chips and a bottle of IBC root beer. The fish pieces were Alaskan cod, tender and with delicious, mild flavor. The cod was covered in a panko crust. I did squirt a bit of malt vinegar on the fish as I like that flavor. The plate came with fries and coleslaw. I am not much of a coleslaw person but this was pretty good. The fish came with a tasty tarter sauce which I just used to dip my fries into. My sister couldn't finish the pulled pork sandwich she ordered so I had some of that too. The pork was tender and flavorful although I wasn't overly fond of the bbq sauce they used. I had dessert! Celia's Homemade Oregon Berry Cobbler. Wow! The piping hot blueberries and strawberries were within a sweet, crisp crust and was magnificent. The cobbler was covered with a huge scoop of Tillamook vanilla bean ice cream. I loved this dessert. This is a comfortable, casual, fun place for a meal. I would definitely come back to eat here while in the old town area of McMinnville.
