    Tasteless burger
    Ricardo N.

Great brews but food was very disappointing! Visited this brewery and ordered some beers and food. The beer was great was a local lager and refreshing. I was sadly disappointed with the burger I ordered. It looked great but when I tried it the burger patty was tasteless. I felt like it had no seasoning or flavor whatsoever. I even tried there onion rings and same thing. Beers were great but food not so great. Of course service is always great and helpful. The location is also amazing because it's right by the Oregon coast.

Perfect ambiance: woodsy, cozy feel right near town center. Beer and fish & chips were great! It's a walk-up order counter then seat yourself--servers friendly and attentive. Love their motto: Beaches Forever--Beer for Everyone!

Best glass of beer on the North Coast. Full stop. Cannon Beach has plenty of places to stop in for a bite or a drink, but Public Coast tops the beer list. Just go down Hemlock past most of the downtown area and you can't miss it. In 'warmer months' the hydrangeas make the whole place stand out. The patio area is almost as big as their indoor seating area, and with good reason. Cannon Beach summer weather is simply spectacular and it's perfect for marrying a beer, a patio, & some local fare. They open at noon each day and there is generally a line forming right before they crack the doors. That's how you know it's good! There are probably half a dozen year-round beers with seasonal alternatives mixed in. They even have gluten-reduced options (think seltzers) for those that are sensitive to that kind of thing. I opted for a tall glass of their Coconut Brown, a brown ale with some chocolatey & tropical notes. Smashingly good beer! My wife likes things a little light and chose their '67 Blonde, a very drinkable lager with a crisp finish. Both of those went nicely with my lunch of choice, the pulled pork sammich, because a KC kid needs to sample a BBQ game from afar. Great sandwich, tender pork, some spicy oomph to the sauce, and crispy slaw & jalapeños on top. But the real hook was the platter of fish and chips that my wife inhaled. Beer-battered, tender pieces of seasonal white fish, plated up with a side, and served with lemon wedges & tartar sauce and WOWZA! Simply outstanding! The lightness of the fish and the flavor of the coating paired *perfectly* with her '67 Blonde. We also added a half-order of onion rings, most of which were the size of life preservers and battered much like the fish - unbelievably good! Public Coast is on the North Coast Food Trail and is touted for its inclusion as an ocean-friendly restaurant. They serve up Oregon fare, like Tillamook dairy products and others, Public Coast even tends their own farm for sourcing. The PNW gets down like that: sustainability, local sourcing, and fierce regional pride show up and show out. Public Coast represents that and more, brewing fabulous beer, serving 'good grub', and cultivating that coastal Oregon experience to a T. Dogs are welcome, with posted rules, and there are usually plenty of them. It's a great spot, and you simply can't go wrong.

Stopped by Cannon Beach to soak in the coastal views and kept hearing great things about this brewery -- happy to report it absolutely lived up to the hype. From the moment we walked in, the space impressed -- spacious, beautifully designed, and full of personality. The merch shop alone is worth a browse, with some of the coolest hats, shirts, books, and more. A really fun touch that adds to the overall experience. I was traveling with someone who has celiac, and it was such a relief to find a place that's so accommodating and knowledgeable about gluten-free options. That alone made it stand out. We ordered a little bit of everything -- chicken wings, a burger, garlic parmesan dirty fries, and onion rings with a root beer BBQ sauce that was seriously next level. Paired it all with a bottle of wine, and we were set. Everything came out hot, flavorful, and satisfying. The service was fantastic -- friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It's clear they care about both their food and their guests. This spot is definitely worth a visit if you're in town. Whether you're gluten-free or not, the food, service, and atmosphere all deliver.

Food was good: we had fish and chips Was a big enough portion to split for lunch. Notably, no slaw. Beer was good. Ambience: was pretty good. We sat outside on a cool and cloudy day, warmed by the large fire pit. Ya order inside and they give you a buzzer/locator food and beer is delivered to you. So, not the traditional type of service. But it works.

#1 Brewery in Oregon! Don't forget to visit the farm along 26 during summer! Oh, and they also have a root beer that will knock your socks off! The food is seasonal and tasty! Not your typical fried pub affair. NW Honey Red Ale is my favorite beer and has become a mild addiction:) Here is a picture of their NYE Black Eyed Peas and Greens with corn bread to make your mouth water. The staff is friendly and ready to help or talk brews. Always enjoy visiting Public Coast and hanging out on the heated patio during the winter!

We stopped by public coast brewing yesterday and really enjoyed ourselves. Easy to find parking. Kid friendly. inside and outside seating, we sat outside also dog friendly . Great selection on tap I drank a blackberry cider and loved it. Everything we had to eat was great but the fish and chips was a hit! Cooked and seasoned to perfection. Service was phenomenal super friendly brought everything out to us, no complaints.

This place is awesome. The ambiance and the seating were so nice. The staff were friendly. I especially liked the gose (it was VERY tasty) and the fish and chips were so fresh, light, and fluffy. I would definitely come back for it. I would not get the clam chowder again, not because it was bad but because it lacked any kind of pizzazz. My friend who has celiacs ate here as well and had no issues and said it was her favorite place she ate in Oregon.

A very solid brewery in Cannon Beach. As you enter the main drag you drive right next to The Public Coast Brewing. Lots of outdoor seating, plenty of parking on the backside of the building. As you walk into the Brewery from the rear you are greeted by a large brewing tower. As you make your way into the main counter you have several menus where you will find the various beers and food options. We ordered the Fish and Chips, well done dish good portion, good batter. I wish they would offer a lemon slice without asking for one with the dish. We also split the clam chowder, also very tasty, nice and rich not watery. We finished our meal with two 67 Blondes, nice and smooth beer it was the perfect mix of beer and food. You have outdoor seating options and smaller indoor seating booths. They also have a shop with various souvenirs by the main entrance. Over all a good experience, the staff were friendly enough that we interacted with. Also the bathrooms were very clean, thank you.

The food was great, a quick little stop to enjoy a nice beer and some incredible fish and chips. Got to sit outside by the fire pit and enjoy the nice vibe of the coast. The service was great and everyone was very friendly. When at Canon Beach this is always a stop for us. Will be back. Thanks for having us.

Great location with free Tesla charger nearby. Super friendly staff and brewery vibes. Food here is your typical bar/pub food and it's all done very well. Great comfort food feels. Service was great and it gets very busy so you may need a reservation, especially if you want to be seated outside.

    Almost finished beverages.

This place is great. Food comes out fast and hot! The drinks are great! Fantastic service with a nice atmosphere. The pulled pork sandwich is super good, the gluten free onion rings can't be missed. I will definitely be here every time I come to cannon beach and would probably drive a distance to get here if I was in the area.

The only negative experience was with the guy seating us upstairs, he definitely had a bit of an attitude. We ordered a 16" half Almighty and half Margherita pizza along with a Caesar salad. The pizza was really good overall, although they definitely could've put more cheese on the Margherita side because it felt a little skimpy. Still very tasty though. The Caesar salad unfortunately tasted really old, but our server was fantastic, apologized immediately, and removed it from the bill without issue. Great customer service honestly made a big difference. Overall, I'd definitely come back!

As a self proclaimed clam chowder connoisseur I take the hunt for delicious clam chowder throughout…read morethe PNW coastal area very seriously. Each beach town my husband I travel to, I spend far too much time reading reviews about clam chowder. If only I spent as much energy in other areas of my life as I do "internet-researching" clam chowder, who knows what I could accomplish. I must say that the clam chowder at Werner Beef & Brew is exactly what I have been hunting for. It is the perfect texture and consistency. It has a spectacular balance of clam to potato ratio, and the potatoes are cooked to perfection. They don't have too much bite, nor do they disintegrate into mush the moment they enter your mouth. The chowder itself was worth traveling from Rockaway to Tillamook for. It was even worth a more industrial view vs. an establishment with a more coastal and picturesque backdrop. The salad bar was on point. The variety of salad add-ins, dressings, and topping crunchy-bits were epic. It was a nice balance to the very rich perfect chowder I am already missing. I miss it. I miss the chowder. My husband also got the fish tacos, based on others' reviews and enjoyed every bite. I enjoyed their Dragon Fruit Cider, and he ordered one of their Meaty Bloody Mary's. If you are on the fence if you should order one, you should. You should get that bloody mary. The bloody mary then led us to purchase some of their salami and bologna. It was an elevated version of the sandwich meat my grandpa used with white bread, yellow mustard (off-brand), ice burg lettuce, and a slice of cheddar cheese. Mid-life has me craving nostalgia. It might be the hormone imbalance, but salami white bread sandwiches, here I come.

I ordered the 3 piece fish and chips and a bottle of IBC root beer. The fish pieces were Alaskan cod, tender and with delicious, mild flavor. The cod was covered in a panko crust. I did squirt a bit of malt vinegar on the fish as I like that flavor. The plate came with fries and coleslaw. I am not much of a coleslaw person but this was pretty good. The fish came with a tasty tarter sauce which I just used to dip my fries into. My sister couldn't finish the pulled pork sandwich she ordered so I had some of that too. The pork was tender and flavorful although I wasn't overly fond of the bbq sauce they used. I had dessert! Celia's Homemade Oregon Berry Cobbler. Wow! The piping hot blueberries and strawberries were within a sweet, crisp crust and was magnificent. The cobbler was covered with a huge scoop of Tillamook vanilla bean ice cream. I loved this dessert. This is a comfortable, casual, fun place for a meal. I would definitely come back to eat here while in the old town area of McMinnville.
