Easily the WORST run company I have ever done business with. I am not embellishing. I wish I could leave them a 0 star review. The team's communication is nonexistent. I emailed this company 2 times and didn't receive a response. I then decided to call the company after the product was 7 days late. I left a voicemail but didn't get a response. A total of 9 days later I called again and after waiting on hold for 15 minutes, a man named David answered the phone. He said they were having trouble making the product. I said okay, why wasn't I notified? He didn't have a reason. I asked him, why have a service listed if you cannot make the product I selected (from a drop down menu). I was asking for 16mm dice. I had no idea that creating a square could be so difficult. He said the product had scoring and burn marks but that they would use a different color, so that the imperfections weren't as noticeable. I was reluctant to accept the now black dice but out of frustration said sure. I received an email on the following Monday (14 days late) that my product was complete. I paid extra for a service they call High Resolution, + 100% infill, and a printing accuracy of 0.1mm. The dice I received were not black and the words/dots that were supposed to be "high resolution" are illegible. I paid $90 for two cubes that look like this. I highly recommend you spend your money somewhere else. This was a waste of time and money. read more

do not do business with this company. there is no one working there. i genuinely believe there is no one actually 3d printing anything. i spoke to at least four different customer service reps though. i never received a print i paid greatly for. every day I called. the "producer" the one who should be printing things, never called me back. i genuinely think this place needs to be investigated for fraud. This is a poorly run and dysfunctional company that will mislead you and tell you they can produce your product and take your money and make you absolute unusable junk. When we complained we were promised new samples of our product. This never happened. First there were excuses why they hadn't done anything further and then they never responded to emails, phone calls and texts. They also still have our parts that we paid for to give them for samples along with being out the money we paid for our samples. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company like COVID-19. read more

This is my first post ever on yelp. I took my invention idea to SD3D so they could help me make my first prototype. I set up a meeting with David to talk about the design and printing process and if they were able to do it. I paid the first half upfront which was $750 and i was excited as HELLL we decided a six week timeline on the long end we decided on the look and different aspects on the design Very basic design Pretty much the timeline was not met or even close to being met The quality of the small piece they actually printed was a joke The design was different then what we talked about The price was going to go up from what we agreed upon The communication was horrible I called, and was told David was not in the shop and when I called back because I felt i was being lied too guess who answered David Im not saying that these are bad people or have and bad intentions But I am saying that i wasnt given even close too what i paid for and i was treated like I was a hassle. I was looking for a plastic part to be printed. A little doohickey thingie to help sewing machine turn its gears. if you have the schematics, it would cost minimum $36 for any print. Most orders go anywhere from $100-$1k. It would be perfect if I had a production line, and needed to leverage some economies of scale. Unfortunately, for me, it's just me! As for how SD3D was, I really appreciated the professional attitude displayed by their salespeople. He was very polite, courteous, and pleasant to talk with. These guys (especially Kurt) went out of their way to produce a prototype part for us using a material (PCTPE) that has incredible properties, but is notoriously difficult to 3D print. They labored through several attempts to deliver the goods...without any adjustments to the original quotation. Speaking of which, their on-line, interactive quoting program is the bomb! Great team to work with. They made a 3D model for me and printed the prototype. A bunch of smart, young guys who work fast and actually CARE about helping you! They are very reasonably priced too.
