there is no way to keep this short, sorry, it all begins with a shift lever not shifting right and…read morea first gear not issues, i took it in and they called me saying that it was the transmission and they had one for 7000, i said go ahead. they were waiting on the torque converter, so they called me saying that they had a beefier one for 9000 so i said just do it, well they get it done and call me, so i come down and when i get there i go to pay with credit card and he said it was supposed to be cash, well he ended up splitting tax with me. we then go to get my truck and they are still working on it, apperantly the shift cable was bad!!! so i did not get my truck and had to pay more money for an issue i brought it in for, ( so did they actually do a inspection, or just say it), well the next day they call me to come get it, yay, well i get it and take it to work, then to ogden and when i get to ogden, now 80 miles on transmission there is fluid everywhere, i call them and they say they will send a truck to get it, well after i get off my second job i call a freind that said nobody has come to get it, so i end up getting a tow truck to get it back to them, they have it a couple days and call me to give it back and when i go to get it, i open the door and first thing i see is a wendys cup with purple fluid inside, then i get it home and on the back floor is two unsmoked cigarettes on the floor, i do not smoke, that means they were smoking menthols in my truck, and now that i have my truck back and it seems to be fine, all the sudden there is a serv 4wd light i call them and they say that someone had been in there before , i replied i have had this truck 2 years and that light had never come on, they basically said whithout saying that they were not responsible! i tried to get ahold of the owner for awhile and could not, finally did and set anappointment to talk to him and when that day came he had to cancel and then avoided me! hope this helps someone else from a disater, i had to fix the serv 4wd, since i can not trust them, and the warranty is garbage since i can not trust them, one of the worst decisions of my life was to use them!!!

Well…read morethey ended up saying they needed to replace the transmission. after getting the car back, I inspected the work they did and my steering wheel was completely crooked, they lost a center cap to one of my rims, and when they reattached the subframe it wasn't aligned properly and missing two transmission bolts. I do not recommend this shop at all. with the cost of what I had to pay, everything should have been put together correctly and no bolts or center caps should have been missing. Do not take your vehicle here. Plus it was in the shop for a little over a month. the owner was very nice but his technicians need to go back to school.

I wondered why they towed my car to Logan instead of to Brigham City because I was on the way to Salt Lake City. The next day, a mechanic at Automotive Unlimited in Logan called me. He told the vehicle's head gasket was blown and there was no way I could drive anymore. He suggested that I replace the head gasket and tole me it would cost $1900. I called my regular mechanic in California and asked him for advice. My mechanic called Automotive Unlimited in Logan to discuss it with them and was told that everything was in good condition except the head gasket. On that information my regular mechanic advised me to have the work done at Automotive Unlimited. So I asked Automotive Unlimited, if I spend $1900 to replace the head gasket. How many miles can I expect to get out of the car? He said you can drive up to another 60,000 miles, no more over heating, and my car will run smoothly, because they do a lot o work when they replace the head gasket. With that assurance, I agreed to go ahead with the repairs. When the repair was complete, I picked up my car and I paid $2060.64 to Automotive Unlimited owner Heath. As soon s I got into my car and turned the power on I saw the "Check Engine" warning light was on. I asked Heath, why the check engine light was on. He told me that it will go away once I drive a few miles. So I believed him and left the shop. I was driving on Highway 15 South and heading to Arizona where I have to work later tonight. When I passed Brigham City, about 40 miles from Logan, my car overheated again. I was so scared and pulled my car over on the road. Smoke was coming out from everywhere. I tried to contact Automotive Unlimited, but the shop was closed. I could not reach them; I was alone on the highway and was very scared. Then a nice couple stopped to help me. They told me to drive my car to North Ogden where there was a Toyota dealer. So I followed them and drove to North Ogden and parked my car there. The husband went to Pepboys Auto Shop to buy a radiator over-flow cap in the hope it might help. I had to get to Arizona because I had to work on that day. I kept driving and praying to God that I could make it to Arizona. Unfortunately, when I got to Provo my car was no longer running and it kept over heating again and again. There was a nice gentleman who pulled over on the road and helped me out. He spent almost two hours with me on the road and tried to get my car cooled down and running. It was getting dark, he suggested that I parked my car on the side of the road and spend the night at his place. The next day, him and I came back to the place where I parked my car on highway 15. We were able to get my car back to his friend's mechanic shop. His friend agreed to look at my car and try to find out what was wrong. After that he gave me a ride to Salt Lake City airport where I got a rental car and drove back home. This was the worst experience that I have ever had in life; stuck alone, scared, and vulnerable on the side of the freeway miles from the city and forced to rely on strangers for help (and stay at a stranger's house overnight). I thank God for sending good people to help me when it could have easily turned out so differently. I would never recommend anybody bring their car to Automotive Unlimited. They lied to me, ripped me off, and carelessly put me into a potentially very dangerous situation. They made my life miserable on that day. I will never forget what they have done to me. When I got back home I called Automotive Unlimited. They asked me where my car was; they wanted to get it towed to their shop. As if I would ever trust them again after what they did to me. God knows the truth; they will be judged someday

He continued his little rant as I tried to give him my keys and escape my car. It was a bad lifter that costed me less then $200, I honestly think this mechanic thought id be dumb enough to fall for it and was hoping to make lots of money off me. I don't think its A1 but more or less the mechanic they have hired! They should be getting a second opinion or digging deeper if they think people are just going to fall for this and for that kind of cash up. The best part, I knew more about what was going on then he did. He never gave me one answer that was assuring, why would i pay for his work. They told us we needed to replace the ignition coil and spark plugs and that would solve the problem. After charging almost $900 the code came back in less than a month. We took our car back in and they told us they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it and to come pick it up. We asked for a list of tests they ran and the results. We got a small list but no results. A simple search from chat gpt told us what the problem could be and easy tests that could be run to confirm it. Two other mechanics confirmed that they could have run a simple test to confirm the head gasket was bad as well. Now we get to pay another mechanic to diagnose it and replace the head gasket after already wasting $900 with carsmart.
