If you're here to review the food, you may as well move along because it's just to satisfy the law and not your huge gut. Now that we got that out of the way, this is a really great spot in a bit of an industrial location. The patio sits right over the river so you can watch the tide come in right from your seat with your beer. There is lots on tap. Everything is free to try and then you can head outside to the HUGE patio on varying levels to enjoy your pint of your favourite sample. Lots of merch in store if that's your thing. Eat before you come, have a pint, enjoy the view and you'll be happy as a clam. Not much else to say, really.

Lots of grass and it's great if you want to bring kiddos because there's fun games laid out and bubbles at the entrance. Another great reason to sit outside is that they've got lots of sunscreen available at the entrance for you to use so no worries if you forgot yours! The taproom is just another beautiful spot where you can pull up a stool and drink your worries away. It's long and narrow with a few other options for seating so not really great for crowds - you want to take that party outside. Speaking of parties, this is THE place to hang out on the weekends, especially Friday. Check their social media pages to see what's going on and check out the music, food truck and themed event. There's no food here unless you're here on a weekend with a food truck so be sure to eat or pack a picnic first and then head on over to grab some really great beer or cider. You can still get coffee all day long as long as they're open. Don't bring a group because there's only one table with two church pews that can accommodate 6 people. Everything else is pretty much good for 1-3 people with a couple of stools at the bar. I'd guess about a max of 20 -25 seats total are available inside, but if it's nice, there's additional seating outside. Try their in-house brews or something from their rotating taps. They don't have food, other than hors d'oeuvres to satisfy the liquor laws so expect to order pickled eggs, pretzels and pickles. So don't come hungry and then complain about the food when you're coming to a brew house. The one staff was doing an amazing job serving and thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting tables after each patron so it's a pretty safe place to come despite its size. As soon as you walk in, you definitely still get the feeling of being inside a church, with so many original features and details preserved. We even sat near the "altar," which made the experience even more unique and enjoyable. The ambiance felt almost holy, in the best and funniest way possible. I loved how they transformed the space into a brewery and restaurant while still keeping its character intact. Our server was incredibly nice and attentive. We ordered the chicken tostadas with jalapeño crema, and they were absolutely delicious. The beer was great as well! I ordered a sour beer that I really enjoyed, although unfortunately I can't remember the name of it.

**Disappointing visit, and the service made it worse**…read more We visited Bent Ridge on Father's Day hoping for a relaxed family afternoon, and left genuinely frustrated, mostly because of how we were treated. We ordered the Grilled Watermelon Salad ($21.50). The menu describes it as grilled watermelon, fresh berries, red onion and mint on a bed of arugula. What arrived was essentially a bowl of arugula and spinach with red onion and a sprinkle of feta, and almost no watermelon to speak of. When we politely pointed this out, the second server who took the salad back was lovely about it and said she'd check with the kitchen. That's where it went downhill. She returned with the primary server, who was dismissive from the start. We were told they could add watermelon on the side, but only as an upcharge. We declined. We were then told we'd be charged for the original salad regardless. Fine, we said, charge us, but we don't need it back. Despite that, the salad reappeared at the table with a tiny cup of watermelon, and the response was a flat "well, it's already here." When we asked whether this is really what a watermelon salad is meant to be, since we've had this dish at plenty of other restaurants and it has never been arugula with a few cubes of watermelon hidden in it, the answer was that the watermelon is "just like the berries, a little topping." At that point we cleared our own plates onto the side table for them to collect. What needs to be said plainly is this: we were a group of 12 with a bill of around $700. Paying was never the issue, and a $21 salad is no big deal. But the audacity of the server to assume we were doing all this just to haggle a salad out of them was ridiculous. We can't tell a kitchen how to build their salad, and tastes vary. But the watermelon is named first in the dish, it arrived in nowhere near the quantity advertised, and being upsold to get the main ingredient is hard to defend. Speaking to paying customers that way is simply not acceptable. And of course, she did remember to add the 18% gratuity for her tremendous service. To top it off, we'd brought a cake to celebrate Father's Day and asked if we could cut it. We were told no outside food allowed, full stop. The Annapolis Valley has no shortage of excellent wineries where a family can actually feel welcome and enjoy the afternoon. We won't be returning to this one.
