Always a go to spot as food and service are great. My favourite is the pan fried halibut with a salad.

I love Paddy's food. Always have, always will. Lots of selections. I had about 7 items listed that I wanted to order but couldn't figure out what to get. The burger was nice and flavorful. A little spicy, but not too coyingly spicy as I am very sensitive to spice. The pina colada was done very well, nice, and creamy. The bruschetta was the winner of this lineup though. It was made very well. With what I believe to be a dollup of sour cream on the top. The wait time was appropriate and the serving was very appropriate as well. We so wanted to love this pub but were let down by the lackluster food and hefty price tag. Hubs and I agreed that there wasn't a single thing here we'd order again - the fried pepperoni, the mozzarella sticks, the lobster (chewy) mac 'n cheese or the blueberry ale. With a price tag of $60 for a main, 2 appies, and 1 pint we both agreed we'd rather try elsewhere next time. Nothing was bad, but nothing was memorable either. For many years traveling through the valley, I have always made a point of stopping at Paddy's Pub for a wonderful steak dinner. This year my steak dinner was a bust. 1) it was not a ribeye 2) it was a much thinner cut than in past years 3) it was full of gristle and very difficult to eat 4) the accompanying vegetables were soaked with excessive soy sauce which ruined the meat and french fries. On a positive note, our servers were excellent (competent and cheerful), and the desserts were heavenly. read more

One beer should not ruin your whole night. Over the past year my friend and I have visited paddy's MANY times. It's been a staple in our relationship. Lately (meaning more the past 4-5 months), I wouldn't say this place has gone down hill so much as it just took us that long to realize how truly awful this place is. If you want cheaply made, zero regard for quality, food and beer, go here, I highly recommend if that's what you're looking for. I was there recently just to sit down and have a beer. My friend and I both left feeling like absolute garbage. Feeling "icky" for hours on end is not how typically like to spend my Saturday. I will add that the service is typically fantastic. Mind you, you will hear more about their lives and their drama than what who your there with has to say. This isn't the case if you sit in Rosie's however. That being said, I will not be back. At least not until they decide they should start progressing and improving rather than happily sit on a decline. read more

Ate at Rosie's recently. The vibe is pretty good, but the restaurant is extremely cramped. Difficult to move around when there are servers standing at tables taking orders, so it's best to just and wait for the aisles to be clear before making a move for the bathroom. Menu is pretty average overall, mostly just standard pub offerings with the restaurant putting their own spin on a few dishes. Hamburgers are really dry for some reason. I had to keep taking a drink after bites of my burger because it felt like it had been run through a strainer and then left in the sun to completely dry out. If it wasn't for the mayo and toppings, it would have been like clumped saw dust in my mouth. I try not to exaggerate when I write any reviews on here, but it really was that dry. Fortunately, the fries I had were pretty good. Not overly done, just the right amount of salt. I honestly could have eaten many more of them and I kind of wish that I had gotten more with my burger. Other items at my table that were ordered included a pizza, which was a great size for the price and was well made. Club house sandwich also looked pretty good. The servers were super great and were anxious to help. Two people at my table had questions and were inquiring about substitutions. The servers went the extra mile to help us and joked around with us. They were really nice and friendly people. I feel like I probably would have enjoyed my meal more had I ordered something else since the rest of the table seemed happy with what they ate, and I DID like my fries. Wolfville is a university town and I'm sure that many, if not all enjoy the ales brewed right at this location. Admittedly, I always focus on the food - in this case very traditional and tasty pub fare and more often than not, I stick to water. That said, sitting on the patio on a bright and warm summer's day, eating delicious mussels that are served with sweet potato fries and a curry mayo, I did have one of their own beers, which certainly tasted just fine. In the summer, the patio is the place to sit and it's mostly filled with locals and tourists. Once the end of August rolls around, make that students and professors. No matter what the season, there's always a crowd, but the place is huge, so no worries about finding a seat. read more

Kids friendly restaurant (we sat in the back, not the Pub part). The waitress was super friendly and quick with our orders. We were a group of 7, including 3 kids. She came first with kids cups with straws, later with some colouring books and crayons. Then she showed up with these animal face plates for kids. Our kids were wowed by all the different things she kept bringing. Food-wise, very generous portion. My mom ordered the County Cork Club, and it was massive. I'm impressed with the veggie side that came with her order. Real fresh raw veggies and lots of it! I had their hot chicken wings, pretty standard, could be hotter. Our friend had the peanut butter pineapple burger and said it was good. Our kids enjoyed their sweet potato fries, and my husband, in particular liked the dipping sauce that came with it. Hugely disappointed with my Maple Bacon Burger from the limited time menu. A strip of bacon & a very thin slice of cheese does not a $12 burger make. My son's cheese burger off the kids menu was exactly the same minus the piece of bacon. $12 is a fine price for a quality pub burger but I feel ripped off. I'm afraid to admit this, but Paddy's does kind of seem like the place where this sort of thing is okay: Paddy's was an ill-fated, unplanned second stop on a night that accidentally became a makeshift pub crawl through Wolfville and Port Williams. My memories of it are pleasant but hazy. As they should be. For a pub, it's bright, clean and welcoming like a proper Irish-inspired watering hole. A nice patio sits directly on the main drag of downtown Wolfville for optimum people watching, while inside tables are roomy and well-spaced out so that no drunken conversation must be censored. Throughout the night we interacted with a handful of servers, each impeccably attentive, helpful but also just cool people who didn't seem to be deterred by the fact that we arrived in a 3am state at around 9pm. And the reason for our visit? A rumoured blueberry beer that simply must be tried. And the biggest letdown? Our server telling us that the brewmaster decided to switch to a lime beer. Yeah. They scrapped a uniquely Nova Scotian twist on beer for Bud Light Lime... Needless to say, we tried their pale ale which was delicious but nowhere as cool as the blueberry would have been. Thus? We stumbled into this restaurant with no expectations after spending the day in Wolfville. We walked in and it was seat yourself, which I always find awkward when there isn't a sign, but a server quickly pointed us to more seating as the main room was pretty full. She told us about the upstairs which we decided looked great and full of harm with the cast iron balcony. We were the only people up there! Once seated, Kendra swooped over and gave us our menus and got us drinks within minutes. She was so efficient and knew the menu so well that we were basically ready to order. She was very quick on the refills and brought our food very fast. She was also so nice and had a little talk with us about her studies which made us feel like we were important. The food was delicious, the philly cheese steak sub was over flowing with cheese, the sweet potato fries were hot and crispy and the chicken fingers were spiced and breaded just right. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area - the atmosphere was amazing, and Kendra made it even better!! Highly recommend! read more

I've been to the Kentville location before and we found that the food wasn't that good, but we wanted to give their second location a second chance! I see that it's Paddy's & Rosies (might be the wrong spelling) now so that was a little confusing when we first entered the restaurant, no biggie. We were sat out back on the patio, great location. My SO ordered one of their beers, loved it. I ordered a ceaser not spicy.. for some reason it's very hard to find someone who can make a non spicy ceaser.. so I didn't get to enjoy my drink. For an appetizer we ordered the potato skins. 100% recommend! Huge helping and sooo tasty. We were actually so full that eating our main meal was an issue. I had a burger with fries and SO had a toasted turkey sandwich and fries. The fries were SO good, they had a spice on them that made them different from anyone place that sells your basic deep fried fries. Burger was really good too. When I went to Acadia, too many years ago to mention, I recall the dining choices as very slim, a sub place, pizza place and a tavern. At least that's how I remember it, not that I had any money to dine anywhere other then the dining hall. Now Wolfville is a foodie's delight filled with gastro pubs, bistros, casual fine dining, local slow food and family diners. Not to mention the farmer's market from which to get amazing fresh local food. As the name implies, there are two parts to this place, the brewpub in the front and the restaurant in the back or vice versa depending at which end you approach it. We decided to give this place a try as we figured it would be relatively fast, reasonably priced and it came highly recommended by our accommodations operator. We weren't disappointed. We sat in the back in the restaurant section. The place is deceptively large and during our visit on a Sunday evening was very busy. The front section is set up pub style, the back like a family diner. As busy as it was, we received quick, friendly service. We tried a couple of their micro brews and were happy with them. The special that night was prime rib, which we can never pass up. The only options were medium well and well done but we gave it a try anyway. The food arrived quickly, hot and plentiful. Pub food is usually a safe bet, especially when a local pub has more than 1 location (The other paddy's is in Kentville), but this place sucks. Atmosphere = (1/1 star) Decent pub for coming for a drink or open mic. Service (0/1 star) Meh. When a server lies about the food there is no credit to be given here. Disappointed. Stopped for lunch on a Sunday with three kids. The kids menu has the typical fare, but the nachos were just chips and cheese, and the kids pizza was drowning in mozzarella. Not what you would expect for $8 each. I ordered fish cakes and eggs. The poached eggs came in a bowl with lots of water in it, and two fish cakes were barely warmed through. I've been living in the area for almost a year now and service at this pub has gone from meh to non-existent. My last visit to the pub was with my roommate and our server "disappeared" after our tepid food was served. No check-ins, no drink top-ups and honestly, we couldn't see her anywhere. What made it worse was that the other servers ignored us. When I got up to pay, I asked the bartender to cash me out. No one would take responsibility. This isn't the first time that we have received dismal service. From forgotten drinks to hair in the food, our experiences have run the gamut. Though this will be the last visit for a while. In a town this small with limited restaurant options, you'd think they'd get this right. Attract the students and keep the locals coming back, not at all. Friday evening waited for food well over a hour. ribs and wigs with sweet potato fries. What was brought to me ribs and wigs with no sauces. The sauces on the wigs were not even cooked on it was all cold. I got salad instead of the fries. I was so wanted to eat that I started eating the salad than I thought oh wait did I not order fries. Got the server stop and asked about that she said that I could get fries in about 3 minutes ok bring them out. Next time she was in the area I told her and showed her that 2 of my wigs were raw. If one day or night you decide to stumble upon a restaurant in Wolfville, there are more than enough options than Paddy's Brewpub & Rosie's Restaurant. If by any chance all other options are too crowded or full or closed or whatever and you have no choice but this, do yourself a favor, stay away from the food. My friend and I made a huge mistake today by ordering a Scallop and Pepper Fettucini and Curried chicken rice. Let me start with what a failure of a fettuccini it was. The plate was filled with cheesy soup in which they claim its cheese sauce; they have sprinkled bacon bits like how fairies sprinkled fairy dust (the whole plate was full of bacon, it's like the red sea of bacon), both the scallop and the pasta was overcooked. If you think that the pasta was bad, you haven't heard about the curried chicken rice. I, myself, am a carnivore. I like my meat. The rice they served me today was full of vegetables, or let me be specific, Red and Green bell peppers, Broccoli, Beans, Onion, Carrots, and a little amount of dried chicken. The taste was very earthy as the plate looks more like a garden than a bowl of curried chicken rice. Last week. I went to paddy's to enjoy a beer and some food. The bartender (Tasha) it said, was loaded drunk and could hardly make out my order. Worst burger ever! Tiny, overcooked, dry and I waited 40 minutes to get it. In the menu you pump up that it's local beef and then you did this to it. If you can't make one as good as MCDonald's don't even go in the kitchen. The only saving grace was the oatmeal stout. Super bad. read more

And as far as quality the pub offers regular pub menu, no super great meal to recommend. There is very little competition in Wolfville. I have gone fo open mike night and to meet people - not because of the menu. The atmosphere is what attracts most locals I think and the fact that there's no other pace to go. People use to have to go to their Kentville Paddy's for a meeting place and open mike night now Wolfville has one of their own. read more
