STS (Sea to Ski) is a collection of family owned businesses headed by Andrew Wunder. These businesses include Vacation Rentals STS, STS Condo Rentals, STS Travel, and STS Acquisitions. Perhaps there are more. His brother Stephen and son Christian and wife Brittney all assist him in his work and at least brother and son are part owners of these businesses. Their business plan involves capitalizing on the crashed time share industry to profit. The three Wunders I met are all handsome people, socially adept and intelligent. I left after meeting them in early November of 2011 feeling they were honest and forthright people. Both brothers, son and salesman (Andre) assured my wife and me through promises oral and written that if we weren't satisfied with their services we could leave the club and receive our money back. I was I member for about 4.5 months until I realized how dishonest the Wunder clan is. At the time of joining STS Vacations my wife and I found no BBB complaints against STS. Shortly after our vacation nightmare we started counting the complaints against STS. They had racked up 17 complaints since our joining (that was in less than 6 months). STS Acquisitions had racked up 8 complaints. RCI, the partner of STS that apparently booked our vacation in Jamaica for STS, had a BBB rating of F as of April of 2012. STS currently sports a "C+" but if you added in their STS Acquisition complaints you're up to 25 complaints (D-rating by the BBB) in less than 1 year! Tradewinds fired them for rampant dishonesty, no doubt with good cause. Our STS Treatment and Suit On the first and last vacation trip booked by STS we were assured repeatedly--based on my explicit wishes-- they STS would respect our budgetary constraints (2-3 grand), would pay for our resort accommodations with the money we provided, and would book us in studio apt so that we could opt out of the very pricy all-inclusive "option". We arrived at our destination in Jamaica only to learn: 1. STS had paid nothing to the resort; 2. no studio quarters existed at the resort; and 3. we had to immediately pay for our room--and the included and non-optional all-inclusive package: $4200. This was in addition to the 1900 we had previously paid to STS. WE were compelled to max out credit cards and hope STS would act responsibly. Realizing how soul-less and deceptive these people were, we then insisted that our promised full money buy-back guarantee be honored. STS then refused to honor even this contractual obligation. We sued them in small claims court on grounds of fraudulent inducement of a contract based on the failure to disclose material conditions of the contract. They hired an attorney to counter sue us in small claims court. During the hearing on July 30the judge asked Christian Wunder: "since the accommodations charge paid in advance by the plaintiff was $300, what was the other $3900 for?" Christian Wunder replied: "that was for food." The judge quickly ruled against STS and awarded us our full claim of $7500 plus court costs and denied the STS counter suit claims. Forty days after the suit, and they day before we would have filed to have them held in contempt for non-payment, Andrew Wunder paid the 7500 judgment. read more

In June 2012, my wife and I decided to buy this membership after Sea to Ski Vacations' presentation which promised a wide variety of very attractive possibilities of luxury vacations. The price of the membership fee was in the neighborhood of $5,000. We negotiated it down to $2,700. When the membership payment was made, I had three days to cancel the membership. After reading the contract I became suspicious because the contract did not specify most of the possibilities promised during the presentation. I called the company and requested the cancellation. The company offered to amend the contract with the promise of the full refund of $2,700 if the 1st vacation is not satisfactory. My vacation to Vail, CO in January, 2013 went terribly wrong. After coming back, I sent Sea to Ski Vacations two emails requesting cancellation and the refund, as promised. Both emails have never been answered. I was able to recoup my money by filing a complaint with the credit card company. Based on my experience, I strongly advise anyone against having any business with Sea to Ski Vacations. read more

First of all, Yelp doesn't let me put anything more than a 1 star... but please don't misunderstand... if I could give them NEGATIVE stars, I would!!!! Here is my story: My wife and I received a card in the mail stating that we would receive 2 Free Delta Tickets if we would just attend a presentation on a Travel Company. The card stated that it was NOT a Time Share presentation (which it wasn't). I called the phone number on the card and the woman named Gina (ext. 105) told me about the presentation. I asked her after she finished telling me about the location if this was one of those "give us 3 dates, and 3 locations" type of things and she said "absolutely not... you get 2 tickets on Delta just for attending this presentation which they will give you at the end of the presentation." I asked her a second time.. "Are you SURE? I have been to lots of presentations like this and the end result is they give you a card that makes you choose dates and times and there are lots of blackouts and restrictions." Gina assured me a second time, "No sir, this is nothing like that. This company would just like to earn your business and for the opportunity to present to you, they are offering these free tickets. There is a very limited number of people this is being presented to, and you were chosen in your area." Hesitantly, I made the reservation for yesterday (Wednesday, September 5th, 2012 at 4:30 pm). When my wife and I arrived, we were greeted by a young man and woman who gave us paperwork to fill out. Because it said on the paperwork that we were responsible for taxes and handling charges,...I asked the young man.."How much are the handling charges? Is this one of those things where I have to give 3 dates, 3 locations and have blackout restrictions galore?" He said, "no sir, not at all. There are no real "handling charges", you just have to pay to have the letter mailed via Certified Mail and then your tickets will be mailed to you. The ONLY blackout dates are just the national holidays that you can't fly on." I asked AGAIN.. "so there are no other charges or blackout dates other than what you just told me." He said, "no sir, we just want the opportunity to earn your business, and this is our way of thanking you." Jumping ahead after the 2 hour presentation that we sat through (that was supposed to only be 90 minutes).... we were finally allowed to leave after saying this wasn't right for us about 10 times, and then Brenda came back in with a folder and said, "Here are your tickets... there are some rules and stuff that you will have to read, cause I don't have my glasses on." Needless to say, everything we were told was completely false! Blackout dates galore, you have to pick 3 dates and 3 locations, you have to pay $100, you have not control over when or where you go...etc. I then called your office in Colorado and was told by a woman that I would have to contact the third party that sent out the invitations. I told her.."but it was an invite to YOUR company's presentation, and the fulfillment comes for your office." She said, "If you give me your name and number, I will have someone call you back today to try and resolve this." I got a call while I was out at lunch and not able to answer my phone and Bethanny left a voice mail that said,.."If this is in regards to the travel vouchers, there is nothing I can do to assist you." Wow,... and they wanted me to spend $16,000 to become a member of their company! I was lied to and wasted 2 hours of my wife's and my time. I challenge them to make it right by providing the 2 free tickets without restrictions that they promised... if they don't they absolutely proved my point that they are NOT a reputable company and that you should RUN... don't walk away from this company! Wow, they are still in business -- at least under this business name? I took a stupid pill back in February of 2012 when I attended one of their seminars promising great vacations at a fraction of the cost. Of course, they wanted money up front. They even threw in two 7 day cruises -- one for attending the seminar and an Alaskan Cruise with a balcony suite. I guess I needed a vacation really bad and I was willing to ignore the obvious. I was hooked. While signing the paperwork, I didn't like how they worded things for the Alaskan Cruise, so we added a few extra lines to clarify the contract. The company had no issues with the changes. They went back to make copies of the contract (multiple loose pages) and put together the brochure for us. When we got home we noticed that they removed the the contract for the Alaskan Cruise. Hence, we had no record at all that they will be providing us with an Alaskan Cruise. I guess they didn't like my changes to the contract! During the next few hours I started researching this company (we had no idea when we attended the meeting who they were - no reference on the mailing). The only reference was a completely different promotional and travel company on the mailing. It did not take long to figure out that we were likely being scammed. The company Sea to Ski was relatively new, but the owner. Mr. Wunder. was tied in to other travel businesses that had multiple BBB complaints and very bad reviews. If I recall correctly, Colorado was going after and/or investigating one of their previous companies for allegedly scamming their residents. Within 24 hours I sent notice (emails and phone calls) to all parties including the "attorney" processing the credit card payment. I was a little vocal to the "attorney" since they had to be aware they are processing payments for possible fraudulent activities. They, not mister Wunder, refunded my money since 1) I already notified the credit card company of possible fraud and 2) I have three days in California to back out of this type of contract. The charges were reversed on the second day and I was free to be stupid somewhere else. Here are a few additional notes: Once I sent out the emails that I am cancelling the contract, I received a call about 15 minutes later from someone at Sea to Ski to see if I was ready to book my Alaskan cruise. Again, they conveniently removed that contract from my package so this was nothing more than to string me along past the three day period. I also received an email response to my cancellation email about 3 days later that I need to contact a completely different company to cancel the contract. I read in the Colorado complaint that this company would play this shell game using different companies. Finally, their contract stated that I have one day to cancel not the three days as required by law. I didn't catch this in the fine print when signing it. If you are like me, you are probably reading this after you signed the contract. Hopefully you found your bottle of smart pills before the three days are up! read more

Dear Member Service, To all readers: Beware that Sea to Ski travel is a rip off site, poorly operated & service provider. In response to your suggestion of a hotel. WRONG! Who are you tell anyone that a 2 weeks for a condo is a HOTEL BOOKING? Yet, I did sign in & went to travel planner, hotels & that sent me to BenefitHub that, after I inputted the info, said "Sorry, no properties match the current search criteria." Further, I should not have to sign in or join another travel service as a member of Sea To Ski, I expected S&S to handle this. Let it be known that BenefitHub is a sign in discount facilitator, not actual booking site. I was expecting real travel service from Sea to Ski, not sent to the website to do my own. I can search the web myself. What I was expecting was options. Under condos, Beijing, Shanghai & Seoul has 1 bedroom condos but not Tokyo. But no current condo list is not shown like the old website had. In reading the fine print, I did state to e-mail or call, I did both: In calling, it was a recording to leave a message. What kind of service is that? In order to initiate the 110% price-match guarantee* on Cruises, Condos, Travel Packages, Tours and Excursions, as well as qualify for any rebates that may be available to you for your booking, please e-mail or call a Sea To Ski Travel Concierge. This is the third time I tried using your service. Thus, I know I am getting the run around by calling & no one called back. The sales persons said when we joined, "condos are weekly, available world wide & for any amount of time." We listed our top 5 locations: London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, New York & San Juan & assured that all of our locations would have condo choices. We told them, we are not sea & sand people, city touring is our favorite. Thus, in being a member, I am totally disappointed in your service. So far I found nothing but hotel offers without no real discount. That happened when we wanted a condo in Vegas & was told nothing was available for the time we needed. S to S got us a booking at the Venetian at the same price I found at the Venetian site. Essentially, Sea to Ski is a rip off. I have a trip to Kent, England in May 2015 & San Juan, PR in August, 2015. I will be requesting a condo at these places also & probably already know your stock answer, "none available & get a hotel." Do NOT fall for this, throw the card away! It doesn't have the company name on it, you won't know until you show up. We fell for the first part and didn't even claim our "free" trip, it was so bad. You are promised "air and hotel anywhere the airline flies in the Lower 48 states, just for listening to the 2 hour sales pitch. No MLM, no Timeshare" . Sounds great, right? Well, OK, here are some of the catches: 1) You have to pick cities and hotels from THEIR list. Newark, NJ, is on the list, but Boston probably isn't. Hotel? Not specified and you have no choice. 2) You have to pick 3 cities and THEY decide where you are going! 3) You have to pick a RANGE of dates and they decide what date and time you are leaving! 4) You have to pay "taxes and fees" up front and well, they'll get you your tickets sometime in the future. No thanks, we never redeemed it. I shudder to think what would have happened if we'd actually signed up for their $7000 travel club, read the filtered reviews for that. I contacted the Reservation guy, he seemed genuinely concerned that what he'd told me wasn't accurate, but nothing ever happened. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. After signing up for a Sea-to-Ski Vacation package on 9/29/2012, we decided to cancel within the 72 hour cancellation period. Over 6 weeks after sending a certified letter with all required documents requesting the refund, we have received nothing. After 10 days we discovered the broker, Vacation Connection from Myrtle Beach, SC, had not accepted the certified package. After providing proof of the package being sent, the broker responded in an email apologizing for the delay and promised a refund in 10 business days. 20+ Business days later, no refund and no response from the broker. We continue to chase this with Sea-to-Ski Vacations who made the original presentation. Beware of Vacation Connection from Myrtle Beach, SC and Sea-to-Ski Vacation offers. Also, the free airline and hotel offer... we were given a certificate that expired one day before the presentation and that had already been used by someone else! Update: December 12th and Sea-to-Ski employee Jerry Green promised four weeks ago to refund money in 15 days. After the 15 days past and many voice mails, Jerry Green tells me it is a Vacation Connection problem and promises to look into it and call back. Guess what? Yeah, no call backs, nothing! I was surprised to see the terrible review about Sea to Ski. We went to a slaes meeting and bought. Actually Sea to Ski did not hold the meeting but another company did the selling on their behalf. At the sales deal we bought a membership. The free gift is always a ridiculous thing anyway and we never used ours. if the only reason you went was to get something for free then there you go. We have taken 3 vacations with Sea to Ski and they have been great. We love our membership and the office people are very smart about travel. We are headed to Mexico for Thanksgiving with our entire family of 12 and everything is reserved and they even organized our air fare. I have to say this is a wonderful company. It is too bad you did not lodge the complaint against the company who gave you the freebie instead of Sea to Ski because they do everything they say. read more

My wife and I attended a sales presentation at Sea to Ski Acquisitions with the promise of a "Complimentary 8 Day/7- Night Cruise for 2" simply for attending the presentation. I called twice ahead of time to try to understand all of the details, because this seemed too good to be true. After speaking with two different representatives I had received positive responses regarding all of the possible loopholes that I could think of. I was convinced that we would be awarded as promised for our time and attention. The one loophole I had not considered was outright lying. My wife and I hired a babysitter to attend the presentation and met all of the obligations required on our end. At the end of the presentation, we were given a "certificate" for a cruise, but the fine print proved that this cruise would be far from "complimentary". There were multiple hidden charges, the worst of which was "$55 per person per day based on double occupancy". So this "complimentary" cruise for two will cost you $110 per day; and I won't even bother going into details about the absurd registration, processing, and booking fees that go above and beyond the $110 per day. I called Andy Wunder, STS Acquisitions owner, who was extremely rude when I calmly requested that my wife and I be given what was promised in return for fulfilling our end of the bargain. He claimed that the advertising company (Perfect Marketing) was at fault, but in the same conversation admitted that he hired them, which makes him ultimately responsible. He was immediately short with me and very defensive from the start; at no point actually attempting to understand the wrongdoing that he had done. I have, in writing, what was promised and he was unwilling to take responsibility for the false promises. Fortunately, my only loss in all of this was my evening, the cost of a babysitter, and serious frustration. If STS Acquisitions is not able to follow through with promises on a simple sales pitch, I would hate for them to be involved in my vacation planning and the handling of thousands of dollars of mine. As evidenced by the many complaints on here and the BBB, they treat their high-paying customers the same as they treated me; which is with lies and disrespect. Please do me and yourself a favor and don't make the same mistake (or worse) that my wife and I made. Steer clear of STS Acquisitions and anything they have to offer. read more
