Don't pay for a premium service with inferior results. I gave this company too many chances. After numerous guest complaints of a lack of cleanliness, I finally said enough. They promise hotel quality linens that are laundered off site, re-staging the property according to airbnb photos, and top notch service. I have complained to the manager on numerous occasions and nothing changes. There is zero quality control and I would expect that they never inspect their employees cleaning service...and if they are inspecting, that is worse. A few examples of times that I have personally checked the home: trash left in can, trash left outside the back door, coffee grounds on the kitchen floor, nothing has EVER been staged back to photos upon my inspection, dining chair left outside in the rain, soiled linens, I have never seen them put out our mini toiletries for guests as promised, filthy tub with soap scum and hair, back door unlocked, cleaners still in the home when guests arrived at 4pm, rugs not vacuumed, and I could go on and on. Their lack of caring and detail is appalling. Avoid this company at all costs. read more

I used Guest Prep for multiple Airbnb properties for over a year. I received great service until the past month. Service suddenly deteriorated drastically. I had a cleaner leave the doors to the apartment unlocked when she left, comforters were not changed, dirty linens were left out for the next guest to view, and my cleaning instructions were disregarded. I had to inspect each property and fix their mistakes. I reached out to customer service to work on the issues but they were unresponsive. A scheduled call with customer service was disregarded. I stated that is they they didn't call me to discuss the issues, I would cancel my service. Guest Prep opted to stop servicing my properties rather than address the issues. I'm fortunate that I had been interviewing other cleaners to replace them. I think they are overwhelmed and are dealing with excessive turnover hence the decrease in quality and lack of communication from management. read more

As many have said, if you can't check their work after each clean, you absolutely run the risk of unhappy guests. We made every effort to get over to the house after GuestPrep left, and every single time we were met with inconsistency. A dirty toilet here, dirty sheets there, etc. All things that should be covered in their basic cleaning package. At first we tried to correct the behavior by reaching out to support. They are less than willing to help resolve these matters and often try to accuse you of lying. After that point, we just accepted poor work and corrected it ourselves. And when we couldn't check the house? We almost always heard from the guest about the conditions. For the amount of money we paid them, it was a total scam. I would not recommend this company unless you are in dire need of a "quick fix" as someone else put it. read more

(I am reviewing the business in Washington, DC.) This business is a lawsuit waiting to happen. They send out unsupervised, inexperienced and untrained housekeepers to do at best an incomplete job, and at worst a dangerous one. As for management, they don't answer the phone and they rarely reply to emails -- not helpful when they don't show up in time to clean -- which is the norm. Finding out by a guest calling you to say they arrived to find dirty laundry and a filthy apartment is not the way to be informed of delays. Communication is horrible. To start service you fill out a questionnaire that leads you to believe they are service-minded -- asking you about where supplies are stored, and what special touches you want addressed. It soon became painfully obvious that the housekeepers never look at that list. Forget about those extras or staging, they rarely know or remember to restock. After their first cleaning I received my first 3 star rating on cleanliness in 8 years of short-term rentals. I then inspected myself after the second cleaning and made a list of 40 things that were missed (including urine/hair/dust on the toilet). Nothing on the list was outside of what GuestPrep advertises on their website under their "hospitality cleaning", yet the response I got from management was "we are not sure GuestPrep is a great fit for your needs". I should have heeded that warning, but I had found no other service that cleans on weekends. Instead I continued with GuestPrep, paying my sister to come when I couldn't to inspect and mitigate what they missed -- and they did miss, every single time. Of the six housekeepers I met personally, only one was trained/competent, but she was habitually late, likely because she was over-scheduled because she actually does what GuestPrep advertises. At least three housekeepers didn't vacuum or clean floors at all. One of them responded when asked "they don't look too bad"!! The straw that broke the 2-1/2 month painful relationship with them was spreading UNDILUTED BLEACH all over my fixtures and surfaces in the bathrooms and letting it dry, which crystalized and burned me when I touched it with a wet hand. When I wiped with a wet lavender rag it turned white, proving what it was. Thank the lord I did not put my contacts in after touching it! The worst part about it? I emailed the manager immediately upon discovery so that they could stop this practice and avoid someone getting seriously hurt -- no response, and when the same cleaner showed up to clean my other apartment she had not been informed of the problem!! (In fact she said, "I was wondering why I got a burn and had to go to the hospital one time"!) A month ago I informed management that the housekeeper had left the tile floors so slippery that I nearly fell. He replied that he would talk to the cleaner about it. I caught a different housekeeper last week squirting Fabuloso directly onto the floor and spreading with her foot on a rag. I asked her if she'd be mopping it up with water and she said "no, but it smells nice, doesn't it?" That's why the floors are so slippery (not to mention not cleaned), yet they did nothing to correct the problem I reported the month before! They also cause property damage. At least two housekeepers did not know that you don't put water on a wood floor, and both left standing water on the Pergo. One I discovered 2-1/2 hours later, and the floor was still shining with standing water. The edges of the floor boards I had recently installed were cupped from the water damage. I informed management via email including pictures, and he offered not even an apology (much less compensation). Twice I found that a housekeeper had stolen supplies from me -- once directly from the gift basket that I carefully count snacks for each guest. The wrapper fell from her pocket as she was leaving the apartment. I continued with GuestPrep for as long as I did because I have found no other cleaning service that will work on weekends. I am now just blocking weekend nights after a booking to avoid the need for one. I'm losing income, but I'm regaining my sanity!! read more

Terrible! Their service is terrible. They get info and date wrong, they locked out my guest, they didn't clean the ares of the house I asked them to. They send emails for different cleaning dates than I scheduled for. You cannot reach them by phone as no one ever picks up. If you email you may get an reply... days later. We run a fairly busy Airbnb business out of our home. We were paying a local cleaning service to take care of our property and had to schedule everything far in advance and ask them to clean the most common sense things over and over. I tried to make a reservation and it said it was available so I went with it. They told me they would only take a deposit, but took it all. They didn't verify with the person so had no care if me and my son would be safe. We have to room crash and be homeless at time because they won't give me my money to help us get in to a place. Unprofessional and unreliable. After being charged for a cleaning, I came to find my guests came to an unclean room (a week later!) and then when I asked Jackie to correct their mistake and go clean, she just replied they would no longer clean my listing (?!). I lost out on a $200 reservation from a $80 cleaning that was supposedly done, and had to ask for a refund for the cleaning (which was not originally offered.) I rechecked all of the information I had provided them, and there was no excuse I could find to excuse this behavior. Absolutely unacceptable from a 'professional' business. read more

Seriously. Air Clean N' Sheen is the knight in shining armor of cleaning services. I have rental properties (Including renting out my own residence when I travel) and have struggled my way through relationships with traditional cleaning services. They need more of a heads up for scheduling than I can give them. Then they need more time in the house so I can have my sheets/towels washed and changed between renters. Air Clean N' Sheen is designed for short term rentals so they're happy to accommodate random scheduling requests. AND the best part?! They have linens and towels for me to use! YAYYYYYY! I don't have to pay extra to have someone dry the towels nor do I have to share my personal linens with guests. I think they'll even restock items for you if you need them to. They're amazing. This company has the worst customer service and cuts corners at every turn. We worked with this company in Denver for a long time and were finally fed up. After providing pictures of unsanitary cleans and only receiving excuses from Jackie we finally asked to speak to the owner. It was at that time that they decided they couldn't meet our expectations. 800 square feet and you can't clean a toilet? I worry how the home looked when I wasn't there to inspect it. We paid $100 per clean and felt they didn't value our business. They are obviously short staffed and dishonest. Inspect often or run the risk of a poor cleaning job and ultimately bad reviews because of it! read more

I was so pleased with GuestPrep's services for my Airbnb rental. As a business owner myself, I have high standards for business performance and customer service. GuestPrep met all my standards. We had five different guests staying over three weeks and special requests for time of cleaning and items to be left out. GuestPrep did everything we asked with no issues. The customer service was very friendly and always available to answer my questions. I was nervous about all the changeover going smoothly but it ended up hassle-free. Not having to worry about washing linens between guests was a big relief and a money saver compared to having someone stay and do laundry between guests. When we finally came home, GuestPrep had left the house spotless. So happy to not have clean up after guests after a long vacation. Great cleaning service for my air bnb. The owner/manager David is very accommodating and helpful.

They do not clean. In Denver we have worked with Jackie and she is all talk. She constantly makes excuses why the team cannot clean. We gave them a chance for almost a year. They kept getting worse. I guess they are too busy and don't have the staff and support to handle the workload. If you use this service and don't check their work you are probably getting taken advantage of. We have caught many mistakes, like dirty toilets, hairs in tub and sink, dirty kitchen, and other unsanitary conditions. This property is not even 1000 sq ft. I have asked to speak with the owner of the company and Jackie came back that they can no longer accommodate us. Obviously this company does not value their customers and are willing to give up $400-$500 a month in business. Do your self a favor and hire a real cleaning company or expect an incomplete cleaning job. The company will cost you positive reviews! read more

Horrible customer service. Disappointing cleaning and care of our home while we were away and unable to check in on it. I was initially impressed with the ease of booking services via their airbnb-calendar-syncing-tech. However, that is just about all they have going for them. Just as others have mentioned, Jackie was all talk about how the place would be taken care of, but when it came down to correcting any issues, they failed every time. I tried to give this company may chances to make things right after consistently receiving less than 5 star reviews for cleanliness (this is your ONE job!), and was met with nothing but excuses. I've had guests comment on on the cleanliness, reporting that the place was dirty, hair not the couches, toilet not cleaned, dog urine on the rug, dishwasher full of dirty dishes, etc... When I brought these issues up, each time I was met with attitude and resistance. As if I were lying, Jackie demanded photos for proof. Photos? Kind of hard to take photos when you are out of the country and are hearing about these things from GUESTS. Sorry, but I"m not going to ask my guests to take photos of how dirty our place is. I'm already embarrassed enough. After a few months of giving them a chance, I gave in and realized that GuestPrep wasn't going to be able to see past their ego enough to actually provide customer service for the homeowners. At the end of the day, I am not just paying them to clean, but also to provide me peace of mind that my place is being well taken care. No amount of calendar-syncing-technology can replace that. read more

I have a small condo in Adams Morgan that I use as a short term vacation rental and I have it cleaned between guests. I've had TONS of different quotes, promises, cleaners etc. I stumbled across their website, emailed for an appt., they showed up ON TIME gave me a quote of $60 which was very affordable and voila! Beware of GuestPrep in DC... we were deceived multiple times when trying their service out for the first time. The cleaner (who was also a supervisor) forgot to bring two of our top sheets, and placed a HEAVILY STAINED fitted sheet on one bed. When this was pointed out, he said he didn't have access to any other linens that day?? We were shocked but didn't have any guests scheduled till 2 days later, so we agreed to have someone bring replacements the next day. After no news on day 2, we called the supervisor back, who told us another cleaner had HUNG a bag of sheets ON THE DOOR HANDLE (presumably for us to install!?) We have security cameras, and NO ONE HAD COME BY. Needless to say we called back and demanded to return all the linens and be issued a refund for the linen service. We were told the DC regional manager would call us on day 3 and arrange pickup for the sheets and issue us a refund. Day 3, no call, no linens picked up or dropped off. We are fed up to say the least and will never use the service again. If you live in DC, don't trust these people. Also, they use dirty colored gold/tan sheets for the king size beds, even though the website says all linens are white. read more
