We had no issue finding the location, just know that you are to park along the road next to the fence. They will come open the gate to greet you are your appointment time. The restrooms are halfway through the tour, so go before if you can. It was just four of us on the tour, my husband and I and another couple. You get walked through their grounds, escorted by staff as they feed the cats. Some are hand fed, some with tongs. You are kept behind the perimeter fence(mostly 3-4ft behind the cage), understandable with children to prevent fingers from entering chomp territory. By attending on a hot day mid May I'd say we saw 60-70% of the cats up close by the fence, some of them were not interested in coming out of their cool spots with their fans blowing on them - completely understandable. In fact, if going on a hot sunny day, wear sunscreen and prepare to be in a lot of direct sunlight. I was not prepared and got burnt. For $50/person this tour is so worth it. We had so much fun and our guide did a terrific job sharing her knowledge of the cats and all the fun facts. She said she was fairly new, but you could tell the cats already trusted her. As adults my husband and I had an amazing time, I can't even imagine how much kids would love this place. The gift shop was great too, we made sure to get our souvenirs including tshirts and hats. Come support this wonderful NPO - not only do that have great tours but you can tell these cats are incredibly healthy and very loved. Their cages were so unbelievably clean I was so impressed.

The large gift shop had a lot to choose from at different prices. We came for the Wine Down event happening right in front of the Delray Affair in April. Wine, beer & soft drinks were available for purchase & I got to unwind & explore the exhibits. The WineDown will be open Friday & Saturday from 12-6 PM and Sunday from 12-5 PM. Proceeds benefit the Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce & the Cornell Museum.

Visiting the museum is free and open from Monday through Saturday 10 to 4. My visit included 'Sunshine Cinema - Florida in film' which is on display until May 30, 2026. There was a $12 charge for this special exhibit. The docent walked us through the exhibit and shared a tremendous amount of background and information, she clearly has a passion for the museum. The museum hosts many History Talks throughout the year as well as permanent and special collections. There is plenty of metered on street parking nearby. The Historical Society of Palm Beach County is a hidden gem.

This cohort of classmates were awesome- and our Sunflower facilitators were awesome- and my children loved every minute of getting to play in the Sunflower backyard playspace. This unique 8-week parenting class created community and definitely strengthened my relationship with my SO. I highly recommend this program for providing a safe space for parents to be able to empower each other, dig into their issues, and explore possibilities with like-minded souls. I wanted to be BFFs with every parent there, they were all so cool (and reminded me that I am not alone!). Just as my kids feel at home at Sunflower, so did I. How do they create such an exclusive, empowering space? intention, planning, respect, thoughtfulness - thank you for putting this together. Can't wait to see what you come up with next! Whatever it is, count us in! P.S. The maternity section is inside the toppel…read morefamily place CONS: 1/ Lauren Austin, the OB nurse navigator, does not answer emails or call back - that's a shame as a representative of the hospital. We had questions before the birth and concerns about PPD after birth and not heard a peep. 2/ The check-in process is not very good. Check-in and checkout are at the same window so the line can get pretty long. God forbid you are in active labor! The front desk lady is very hard to understand 3/ Their nursery was understaffed one night and closed. Nurseries are so important to have, especially for new parents PROS: 1/ The nurses are amazing and super friendly. We had the pleasure of having Kerry, Lizbeth, Joanne, Caroline, Georgia, and Lisa as our nurses, and they made our birth and hospital stay really good from their care to their advice. 2/ The anesthesiologist was absolutely amazing!!! I was so intensely nervous, but he will visit you in the pre-operation room, tell you about the process, and answer any concern you may have. He did such an awesome job at putting me at ease, and honestly, the spinal did not hurt at all. He was so great at calming my nerves and with the whole anesthesia. I am so thankful for him. 3/ Dr Michael Fleischer was my OBGYN, and the csection went super smoothly. It was done in 10-15 min and was super efficient. The nurses did an amazing job with ensuring we took pictures and my husband cut the umbilical cord as it was such a fast process! 4/ The postpartum room was huge, and my husband was able to stay with me the entire 3 nights stay with a dedicated pull out bed. The meals were pretty good for a hospital, and the care overall was excellent. 5/ The nursery is an amazing asset and gave us much needed rest for us both. It's so important for mothers to have this 6/ The security at this hospital is amazing. Your baby is immediately given an identity tag and a tracker to ensure it is never taken out of the hospital. It will ring an alarm and stop the elevator should someone try to leave without notice. I had a c-section, and even though it was planned, there is not a lot of info about the process at this hospital, so here was my experience. I hope this helps nervous mamas out there. 24 hours before your surgery, you will come in to Toppel place for instructions and a blood test. This is to ensure they have your blood type and see any glaring abnormalities. They give you a sheet with instructions, some nutritional drinks, and a special antiseptic soap. they will answer any questions you may have then. Marie was super nice and patient! She also followed up with me a week after the surgery to see how I was doing. The next day you will come 3 hours before your surgery. They will lead you to a pre-operation waiting room. It is a shared room but separated with curtains. They want you to come in alone at first to ask you questions without any partners there. The partner will be asked to wait downstairs for 30 minutes or so. You get undressed and in an operating gown, and they will hook you up to an IV there and take your blood again. They will monitor you and the baby's heart rate. The partner will then join you and wear an operating attire. The anesthesiologist will come into your room and talk about the process and put you at ease. Once it's time for the surgery, you will go in alone at first for the spinal. The partner waits outside for this part and comes in when you are ready to go. Once the surgery is done, the partner will be brought to the back of the room to see the baby as it is being examined by a pediatrician. He will cut the umbilical cord and take pictures. Then they will bring the baby back to you, and the nurses will take pictures of you all. Then, the partner will go back to the pre-op room to do skin to skin while the obgyn finishes. You will join them both in the pre-op room, do skin to skin, breastfeed, or cuddle until your postpartum room is ready where you will be transferred for the rest of your stay.
