There is a snack cafe on the way out to the gardens where you can purchase drinks & light food items. There is also a museum store and a theater inside the museum. I do recommend that you visit the museum as early as possible to have the best experience with fewer people and cooler temperatures. However, the real showstopper here is Roji-en (Garden of the Drips of Dew) - the 16 acre Japanese garden with over a mile of accessible walking paths to explore and enjoy. The original museum building (the Yamato-kan) measures approximately 2,000 square feet and is set inside the garden. There is a huge pond in the garden as well, and plenty of nooks and crannies to discover/ When driving into the museum grounds, you experience part of the 200-acre Morikami Park, which includes pine forests, nature trails, and picnic spaces. You can definitely continue to enjoy your day surrounded by nature in the park once you've toured the museum & garden. There was an exhibition on Japanese Bridal Kimonos, Japan's efforts in American wars, and a model 16th century tea house with a very informative diagram explaining the traditions and build out. The gift shop had so many cool things bookmarks, Japanese candy, art, keep sakes, clothes, and so much more. Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens is unforgettable.

The also host tea parties, brunches, jazz and wine parties, and a holiday craft and bake sale. I came to visit today because I found their flyer for the rummage and plant sale at the Spanish River library yesterday. The garden club is located in a cute building in a residential neighborhood. After visiting the sale inside I went to the plant sale outside in their garden. I really enjoyed paying their beautiful garden a visit. On the last night of the event at 5 PM my friend sent me a text that she wanted to go so off we went. I am so glad we did because I loved it. The garden hired an outside company to decorate it and I thought they did a a very nice job. My favorite lights were the plastic palm trees but I thought all of the decorations were very classy. Not all of the garden was open but a good portion was. I went in with very low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. As we strolled Christmas music played throughout the garden. I enjoyed taking pictures and getting to wring out a last little bit of the holiday season. Our visit took an hour and then we headed over for snacks and drinks at Old Key Lime House. I didn't mind the $10 entrance fee because I know it goes to support the garden. The best way to visit is definitely during the day when you can see all the plants and flowers. A new exhibit called TWISTED: Patrick Dougherty Entwined is opening in January. It was still very nice to see the garden lit up at night too. I definitely enjoyed my visit to the night garden.

The immersive theater was definitely the highlight with cushioned seating throughout and even a boat installation in the center, which added a creative and symbolic touch. The memorial wall was also very impactful and gave the experience a deeper, reflective element. There was a VR headshot session available, which lasted about 5-8 minutes. It was a fun addition, though I wish it had been a bit longer or more interactive. Guests were offered complimentary red and white wine as well as prosecco, which elevated the atmosphere and made it feel like a well-rounded event. The gift shop also had a nice selection of souvenirs to take home. One suggestion for improvement would be the audio experience, having headphones or individual audio pods would make it much easier to fully engage and immerse in the content without outside distractions. Some things I learned: -Moon haze and calm sea made it difficult to see ice bergs. -On the fourth day the ship encountered ice. -Safety of life at sea convention SOLAS in 1914 Goal to increase ship safety and disaster survivability. -Turkish bathe heated pool and Persian cafe for 1st class.

We did not know what to expect when we arrived at the PBS building. Built recently as an…read moreeducational venue, it housed two immersive experiences; The Egyptian Pharaohs which we were there for and The Titanic. We arrived a little early and were directed into a small 360 degrees room which displayed an intro to the main event on a short loop. Our next stop was another room where we gathered and watched a short video about PBS. We then walked into the main event which was a very large 360 degrees room with bench like seating. As the film played, we were surrounded by music, colorful pictures and scenery of ancient egypt. There were smaller screens summarizing in writing each segment we were watching. In yet another room , we were told there were virtual reality viewers however they were not working that day so it was a bit of a disappointment. There was also a small gift shop and picture taking area. It was not exactly what we were expecting but it was very well done and very educational. I would recommend the experience to others.
