We explained what we needed --- and he STAYED OPEN for us!!! We arrived about 15 mns later --- and he was SO GRACIOUS! Owner helped us find THE RIGHT flowers! And, then, his assistant (a most artistic, elegant woman) --- she was AMAZING!! She took the flowers, 'treated them' (i.e. meaning -- she knew EXACTLY how to prune/combine) -- and created a MOST BEAUTIFUL 'package'/arrangement (we ONLY bought stems -- yet the presentation was BEAUTIFUL!) I don't normally do Yelp reviews but felt it was necessary in this case. We ordered flowers for my wife's funeral and picked them up a couple of days before. The owner was well aware of the timeframe as we discussed it when I arrived. My Mother-in-law is experienced with flowers, cut the stems and placed them in water with plant food. Within a couple of hours, they were in full bloom and dropping petals. There was no way these would be in good shape by the service, so we brought them back. We calmly let the owner know about the issue and showed him. I wasn't angry, I wasn't accusational, I just let him know that these flowers weren't going to be good by the time they were needed. His response floored us. He immediate leapt to anger, barking that we needed to put these in water. My Mother-in-law told him that she had done precisely that. He continued to shout at us. I asked him to calm his tone and asked if we could just have a refund. He angrily refused that, but in fairness, pulled out another bunch of the same type of flowers (interestingly these were fresh...). Now we'd already picked up an alternative set elsewhere, as we were concerned about availability, so that's not his fault. I restated that I didn't really need the replacement but he stood firm, continuing to shout at me. I pointed out that his reaction and tone were out of line and left. The issue here is not that he offered a replacement. That was on us for not going back to him first. The issue is that despite our being calm and courteous, the mere fact that I wasn't satisfied was met with anger and made for a very uncomfortable and unpleasant experience. I will never go here again. You'd think that I'd given HIM a bad product. Our family is going through enough right now without having to deal with this kind of confrontation. read more

I am very disappointed on the arrangement that was delivered vs. the arrangement that I ordered. I ordered "Summtime Splash" due to the vibrant colors (hot pink, orange and bright yellow). The arrangement delivered had white and pale yellow flowers. It looked more appropriate for a funeral than the fun of summer. If a florist cannot make an arrangement as ordered, they owe it to the customer to place a call and communicate any changes before delivering an inadequate arrangement. read more

I stopped in here today to get my friend some birthday flowers. I went to the refrigerated area to see only a few small bouquets, one which would work just fine, that had some carnations and some other small flowers. It was in a coffee cup type, little vase. How much? $45! Whaaaaaa? $45 is what I would expect to pay if I ordered online and had them delivered maybe, but not walking in. She asked me what my price range was, and I said around $25. Now at this point, you think she'd come up with something, right? Nope, she tried to bargain and sell me the same bouquet for $40 instead of $45. I left. And went to albertsons in the same center. For $19 I got a bigger bouquet that included a few roses and some various others, and a small square vase. read more

This florist is a complete ripoff. I went to get a bouquet for my sister's graduation here as it was near my house and they charged me $40 for the most generic sparse bouquet I've ever seen. I've both assembled and ordered flowers from various florists all over Los Angeles for celebrations and birthdays on a regular basis and never have I felt so cheated. Do not agree to a monetary sum unless you know exactly what you're getting from this florist. read more

While the arrangements were beautiful, I was appalled by the price. I liked a particular arrangement with 6 roses, 6 tulips, and a few lilies. I asked the price and the woman said 185. My wife loves flowers and I get them often. The woman could immediately tell I that I was aware that was a rip off. She started to negotiate. I Walked out. Life is too short, there are far too many wonderful florists to waste money with a dishonest one. Love in bloom is a better choice! Except they close early on Saturday. :(. I will find another. Flowers arrived AFTER the funeral! Not only did my aunt have to bury her son, she's having to deal with a florist who delivered the flowers after the service and refuses to provide a refund. The owner screamed and yelled at me when I called. If you've already gone through a tragedy, this guy will only make the situation worse! I would recommend finding a reputable vendor. read more

I finally made it over this past weekend to thank them for both the great service and the double orchid arrangement that is STILL in bloom and healthy with very little attention from me. I ordered flowers from FTD.COM on 12/29/2013. I got my order placed nice and early to avoid them not being delivered on time! I asked to have them delivered to someone on their Birthday on 01/03/2014 and Seacliff Florists delivered them on 12/30/2013! First of all 12/30/2013 was not their birthday and they arrived while this person was out of town! Their roommate called me to tell me flowers came on 12/30/13 so I called FTD to let them know this and they assured me they called SeaCliff back and the flowers would be re-delivered on 01/03/2014. Guess what? 01/03/2014 came and went and the flowers did not show! I arranged for flowers to be sent because I was not going to be able to see this person on their birthday and feel terrible about this being messed up. Instead they came home to Un-fresh flowers already 5 days old. TERRIBLE!!! Shame on you and FTD. Now I am going to have to try to get a refund or dispute the charge with my credit card company!
