We had our flowers done for our wedding and most of the flowers were beautiful! Except the table centerpieces. What I wanted (and what was written in the contract) was "greenery and loose blooms". Our tables had a handful of wilted eucalyptus and that's it. I could have done better by just going to Trader Joe's and getting fresh eucalyptus and baby's breath. I reached out to Debbie after the wedding with my concerns and after sending her 4 emails I still have not heard back and my wedding was in May. Very disappointed by their communication and inability to uphold the contract that we signed. Where do I start!! I was just about to sign an over priced contract with another florists when my wedding venue tagged Flowers Etc. on their Instagram story and the flowers were beautiful. Our wedding was less than 2 months away but I thought I'd email anyways even though it was a long shot! Debbie the owner contacted me immediately and was so kind on the phone. I sent her pictures of my flower inspo and she understood my vision. When I dropped off payment I can see flower arrangements for another event in the back and OMG!! When we first met Debbie, we were desperate. Wedding florist after wedding florist treated us like our business wasn't valuable. No returned calls, completely missing the mark with mockups. I called Flowers Etc. because they were on our wedding venue's preferred vendor list. I had already been to several florists so I pretty much knew how the consultation would go and questions that would be asked. I met with Debbie at the end of March regarding my August wedding. When we met, I have to say I really liked her. She was enthusiastic and very flexible with what I wanted. At the end of the consultation, she said she would be sending me an estimate via email. She wrote down my email and I confirmed that it was correct. I knew she had my correct email, however, because we set up the consultation via email. After a couple of weeks, I still had not received the estimate and thought, "Well, maybe she's just super busy." So I called with a 'gentle' reminder and gave her my number again so that we could talk about the estimate. Nothing...no return phone call , no email. So, I called again after having waited 4 weeks. Nothing. I want to give her business etiquette a one star....the only reason I'm giving her two is because she was very accommodating during the consultation. It would have been nice to go with her but when there's no return phone calls or emails after one month, why should I bother. There's a million florists out there and planning a wedding is a lot of stress. I'm not going to spend my time trying to chase a florist for the estimate! read more

When I was planning my wedding I called at least 15 flower vendors. Our venue was the Ritz Carlton so I kept getting very high quotes of 15k for flowers. We wanted to keep it under 5k. I used Debbie for my wedding florist in September of 2012. I had my consultant with her and she was great, professional and priced right for what I was looking for. I made a few changes throughout the wedding planning process and Debbie worked with me on everything to make sure I was happy. THEN my wedding day approaches and I walk out of the bridal locker room to see that my vases were the wrong color (supposed to be black but were clear so you could see the flower stems) I was devastated for about 5 minutes and then realized there was nothing I could do and had to deal with what she brought. I learned a valuable lesson to always talk to the person and verify what they have is what you want. My centerpieces were still gorgeous, but would have been better with black vases. I got refunded for the price difference int he vases when all was said and done. I will still recommend Debbie to friends for all florist needs. read more

The actual design of the centerpieces was beautiful. However, I very specifically said that I wanted pink flowers and did not want ANY purple flowers. The mock-up had the pink flowers, but on the day of our wedding, half of the flowers were purple. I was so disappointed when I saw them. To make matters worse, all of the ceremony isle flowers were purple, so they are in almost every picture. My bouquet looked nothing like the pictures I had shared with Flowers Etc. However, my bridesmaids bouquets were right on the money. If I could do it again, I would go with another florist. The mistakes just weren't worth paying a few hundred dollars less than I would have paid another florist. read more

I had my wedding done by Flowers Etc and was so excited to get my flower arrangements done by them. It was chocolate orchids and pale pink flowers with tree branches mixed into the arrangements. The owner did a mock set up for me and it was exactly what I pictured. She asked me to bring in ribbon that matched my dress so they can use it on the vases to coordinate colors. It seemed too good to be true....and it was. My wedding planner thought it would be nice to walk me through the banquet hall and take a look at the room. The flower arrangements were off color (used ordinary pink orchids for the centerpeices) and they didnt even use the ribbon I had purchased. The twigs and the flowers were more scarce than the mock-ups that were presented to me when I signed my contract....and they forgot the candles that were supposed to be hanging in the walkway flower centerpeices. Talk about not paying attention to details. (IF you've had a wedding you know how frustrating it is when things aren't just right). FYI, this place is not cheap either. I meant to complain to the owner, but after the wedding and spending time away on our honeymoon...it slipped my mind. read more

It pains me to write this review and I've been putting it off for months because I hate to do it. When I was planning for my June 2016 garden wedding, I met with so many florists all over Orange County and Debbie was the only florist who seemed to understand my vision. She listened to my vision and made me a detailed proposal that outlined each and every flower we had discussed. My vision for my wedding was to have a natural, organic look, incorporating lavender and rosemary into everything. I found invitations on Etsy that were simple with just rosemary and lavender sprigs on them; I made rosemary favors, and placed a lavender sprig at each place setting. My bridesmaid dresses were a beautiful Victorian lilac, which beautifully matched the lavender sprigs I placed at each place setting. I provided Debbie with pictures of how I wanted everything from the bouquets to the cake to the boutonnieres. Debbie provided her professional input and we tweaked things as necessary, but she never overstepped or told me how to do things. At my mock floral trial a few months before my wedding, Debbie presented me with centerpieces that were just like we had discussed at my first meeting. While they were beautiful and loaded with tons of lavender and lavender veronica, we decided that they needed a little bit of a pop. Debbie suggested that we add a little pop of dark blue and yellow. We made changes and Debbie sent me an updated contract. The day of my wedding came and I first noticed that something was off when my day of coordinator handed my bridesmaids and myself our bouquets. They were white, green, yellow, and blue, but no purple. The lavender veronica was missing and there were 3 to 4 very tiny, thin blue lavender sprigs in each bouquet in a small cluster at the side. This was very different from my mock trial where the lavender was large, full, and purple incorporated throughout the bouquets, not just in a small cluster at the side. The stems were also completely wrapped unlike the picture I had provided Debbie, which showed the stems only partially wrapped with a majority of the stems showing. The mens' boutonnieres were so sad looking. The tiny sprigs of lavender were wilted to the sides (Debbie had told me she would put wire in them so they wouldn't do this), the Eryngium blossoms were so small that all you could see were the leaves surrounding them. The white astible was already yellowing and completely overshadowed the lavender and rosemary. My grandmother's corsage ended up being just a bunch of yellow flowers-not the lavender, rosemary, white fresia, and white astilbe we had talked about. Our cake was decorated with olive branches (with the olives still attached) and lavender...not the rosemary, lavender and Eryngium blossoms that was stated in my contract. It would have been fine if it had looked good, but it looked like she just threw the olive branches on. They were falling off the tiers and just looked sloppy. She didn't even place any olive branches around the bottom layer to cover up the cake board. Our sweetheart table was nothing like our contract stated. In our contract we had discussed scattering rosemary and candles all over this table for a simple look. Well, there was no loose rosemary anywhere and instead she decorated it with the bridesmaid flowers. The flower arrangements on each table were a mix of dark blue and yellow flowers with a small cluster of blue lavender and a sprig of rosemary in SOME, not all, of the vases. The arch we got married under didn't even have any purple in it. If you looked at the setting as a whole, there was no purple anywhere even though I profusely talked to Debbie about my colors being purple to match the lavender and rosemary theme that I wanted to carry throughout each aspect of the wedding. While we had added dark blue and yellow into the flower scheme at our mock flower meeting, we had discussed using these flowers to add a "pop" and not for these flowers to take over as the central focus. At the end of the day I had an amazing wedding and I did get compliments on the flowers, but I am just disappointed. I emailed Debbie a week or so after the wedding to ask her what happened. She explained to me that lavender veronica had a bad season so they were unable to get it and instead "doubled up" on lavender. Now, if she had actually "doubled up" on lavender I wouldn't be complaining right now but that was an absolute lie. I understand that flowers have bad seasons but I would have appreciated if she called me before the wedding to explain this and discuss another flower choice to use instead...or if she had actually just replaced the lavender veronica with more lavender. I also asked her why so many things were not as we had discussed or were in my contract and she denied any changes. I then went through the contract and pointed out each discrepancy and then never heard back from her again. I am basically left just utterly confused and disappointed. read more
