To start off I love my new cx-90 which is a 2024 my experience at seacoast was mixed the financing department is great it's like lending tree they throw your info out there and u get the lowest rate unlike other dealers there is no finance manager so that was great but I went up on a Saturday afternoon thinking I was going to look at a car it was 45 minutes away but when u buy used that's what you do I was basically forced to take the car that day nowhere prepared for that took 3 weeks to get my plates and registration can't access the Mazda app had it there for 3 days to fix a few issues I had when I looked at the car told them Mazda said my telematics unit had to be reset they did nothing emailed the salesman 3 weeks ago no response I can go on and on if you want the lowest apr this is your place otherwise it's honestly a complete clown show actually read more

First and last time bringing my car there. Recall on fuel tank so they needed to replace it. Dropped off with 3/4 of a tank of fuel...picked up with a bit less than 1/4 of a tank. After many attempts to talk to service I talked with the sales manager and his words..."I don't have a problem putting $10-$15 worth of gas back in your car. Just bring it back and we will take it to the gas station and put $10-$15 worth of gas in it for you." Sadly, the certified pre-owned mazda cx9 we purchased from this dealer with a clean car fax turned out to have prior accident damage with interior tailgate hammering and Bondo for cover up. Entire repairs cost us $4100. Dealer offered a patch after much discussion and blamed it on road salt. Buyer be extremely careful in looking over a used vehicle from them. read more

Where do I begin? I bought my brand new Mazda CX-30 Premium Plus from a dealership in Nashua (Tulley Mazda), around two years ago. That dealer is almost two hours away from my house so I decided to get my service (basic oil change and tire rotation) done at Seacoast in Portsmouth since it was closer to home. Well. I'm not silly. As soon as they told me my car was finished, and I paid almost $180 for the service, I walked out and could tell my tires had not been rotated. I'm being honest when I tell you I know I had hit a curb and scraped one of my rims. That same rim was still on the front driver side, which tells me my wheels were NOT rotated. So, after arguing with the service manager (believe his name was Tom, I could be wrong) I made them bring the car back in and let my physically watch them rotate the tires. All good. Stuff happens. They do have kids working for them. But wait, there is more. Three days later I get a message on my dash telling me my engine oil is low. So, I brought it to Falmouth Mazda, which was my nearest dealer at the time. They took it in. Sent me a lovely video showing my car had practically no oil in it. Oil screw was completely loose. So not only did Seacoast fail to do a simple tire rotation they couldn't do a proper oil change, either. I had work stuff come up over the past week which required travel, my brakes needed service, everyone was 2+ weeks out. Reluctantly, I scheduled to have new brakes and rotors with Seacoast because they were able to get me in soon (I now see why, since they suck.) My car was there for two days. Picked it up, and the moment I drove it away literally in front of the dealership it blew up in white smoke and stalled out. Mind you, I just paid $2300 for this service. Called them and they came out to me and literally floored my car to redline in an effort to clear all FIVE CODES that came up on my car. Car doesn't run the same. Beware of significant upselling in the service department. Checklists of services at designated miles (15k, 20k, etc), which are presented to customers when they enter for service, are NOT Mazda factory recommendations nor requirements. They are third party advertisements presented by service writers as though they are official. Compare to Mazda's corporate website, to official service manuals, and choose wisely. Remember, "Service Advisors" can be a misleading title and I'd imagine they are under pressure to sell. read more

Took over a day to do what was supposed to be a 2 hour job. Car came back smelling. I had to air it out and clean the inside.

They sold me cx-5, and convinced me to also buy their extended warranty. In less than two month from my purchase, I realized the door panel is loose and and needs to be fixed. When I brought the car in so that they can fix the panel, which btw was not caused by me, they asked me to pay for the whole service. Not only they did not accept the fact that they sold me a car with a defective part and caused me inconvenience, but also their what-so-called extended warranty also did not cover the expenses of the broken part. read more

I have used the service department for 8 years. They have been so good that I bring all of my cars here for service (a Mazda, Chrysler, and Ford). The rates are competitive with small shops and blow other dealers away. I completely trust their recommendations and work. The service manager got to know my cars and me, so I felt like they look after me and my cars like they are their own. I recently moved to Florida, but I am still bringing my car in for service when visiting the area. It is a small, older building which I think keeps the costs down compared to the big flashy new dealers. The owner is always around, walking the floor and talking to customers. My big problem is now trying to find someone in Florida that can recreate this great experience. read more

The only real negative is it is not easy to sell when you are ready to change because it is such a small market share. Sounds pretty good right? Why the rating ? However, none of their used cars have a price on them. They wouldn't tell us what the price was on the car unless we sat down with the manager to make a deal. We were still in the research phase, so we didn't. We visited another Mazda dealership and found that we were not going to be able to get what we want at the price we had budgeted. After viewing their inventory on their website I made a web inquiry about a Mazda I was interested in. I currently own a Mazda and know for 100% certainty that I want another. I received call from Rob Herring on Tuesday, he answered the questions I had about the car and I proceeded to set-up an appointment to drive the car the coming Saturday. I had to drive about 40 miles and when I was almost there I saw that I had a call from him. I returned the call and he asked if I was still coming for the appointment. I told him that I was on my way almost there. I arrived about 15 minutes later and when I came in I was greeted by a salesman. I told him I was there for an appointment with Rob. He told me he could help me and asked me what I was looking for. I told him that I had set up an appointment with Rob to test drive a car and that I had just spoken with him a few minutes prior. He said that Rob had left on a test drive. He attempted to locate the car after about 15 minutes he came back saying they didn't have the car. He told me they could order it. I said I want to see something and drive before buying it. He then told me they didn't have any new Mazda 3s in the soul red only used. I told him never mind that the whole experience was leaving a bad taste in my mouth. If you make an appointment have the decency to cancel or call and say I will be working with someone else. Horrific customer service! Bought a new (to me) car recently and once I signed on the dotted line and gave them the check, I may as well have been a stranger. No timelines were met for readiness, delivery, etc. No responses to my inquiries. Incorrectly prepared paperwork caused a nightmare registering. No assistance rectifying the dilemma.....expecting my wife and me to drive 2 1/2 hours back to NH to resign paperwork that was not our error. Received poor treatment immediately following payment. After speaking with area residents, I learned my issues are not unique to me. I know that $20K isn't their most lucrative recent sale, but it was $5K more than they acquired it for..... certainly worth returning my calls after their continued delays. There is a whole story about my purchase of a Zoom Zoom that I won't bore you to tears with, but long story short, I found these guys, but ending up having to buy the car at another dealer. My entire transaction with the other dealer was terrible and I swore to Seacoast that I was always bring my car to them for service and maintenance. I have been really happy with them from the start. Admittedly, I am under a full bumper to bumper warranty right now, but in the times I've waited for oil changes and minor repairs, everyone that comes in receives the same level of respect and service. As I begin this lengthy dialogue, please bear in mind that I have never logged a formal complaint against any business or person, so this is a stretch for me. I purchased and financed a wonderful CX-3 Mazda from the local dealership. It was a fine experience. No complaints in the two years I had it. When I brought my car in for an oil change, I went to speak with the sales staff because I had been receiving many emails about turning in my car to lease a brand new Mazda, etc. I wanted to learn more about it as I have never leased before. I spoke with a few salesmen about options, how the contract works and their current inventory. I was hesitant because I really, really loved my little car and the payment was within my reach. I discussed with the staff that I had a unique situation--I had applied for The Peace Corps and Doctors Without Borders. I did not hear back from either opportunity at that time and there was given time-frame as to how lengthy this process would be transpire...related to their criteria and Covid, etc. I asked the sales group point-blank "what if I get a call from either place in say, 2 months--how does this work....what would I be looking at in regards to breaking a contract, fees, etc". Their response was "no problem, it's 15 min of paperwork and you just drop the car off and you're all set". At that time I declined noting that the payment was more than I could afford and walked away. In the meantime I was contacted by one of the salesman, Mike. He had sold me my current car. He stated that they could get the payment down. I kept thinking about it for another 4-5 days....and the price kept dropping. I thought to myself, 'this sure would be convenient...I would NOT have to sell my car independently on a website while packing and moving my home and working full time. This would be one big item off my plate to coordinate. The last text I received from Mike said that the payment would only be $40 more per month than what I was currently paying. I asked again, what am I facing if I get called to duty by The Peace Corps or DWOB. Again, he verbalized that no fee or charges for turning the car in before the end of the lease. I was sold! Convenient for my circumstances, no extra charge, a little more money per month but a new car. I made arrangements to go in and sign paperwork a few days later. Again, before I put pen to paper, I reiterated my plan and asked again about extra fees and how this would work. Same answer from the sales staff: no extra charge or penalties. So I paid for the first months lease and went on my merry way, coordinating efforts to consolidate my life. Fast forward a few months. I receive an email that DWOB will not take me as I do not speak French and they mostly serve a population that would require this. A few weeks later I receive an email stating The Peace Corps received my application and essay and I passed the first of the health exam. There was still more to criteria and processes to follow. I decided at that time to complete my packing and move to FL and work for a doctor in the meantime. I would not need a car and she had an apartment I could rent. I immediately called Mazda and spoke with the sales staff. Asking if they remembered me and my situation. I said in the next week or so I'd be bringing the car back. Could they have the paperwork ready. Their response was "Sure, no problem--should only take about 15 minutes and bring back both key fobs". I called two more times later in the week to review as I needed to coordinate a ride to the dealership, then to pick up the cargo van I was renting to move my life down south. A friend that works night shift was kind enough to appease me. I showed up to 'sign the paperwork' and was told that I owed Mazda Financial almost $7000.00! I almost fell over. I stated that this was NOT the conversation we had during the initial sale. What I learned at that time from the sales manager Ryan, was that in order to get the payment down they had to make it look like the car I was turning in was worth more than it actually was. This makes no sense to me. How could that happen? Seems like fraud or just plain dishonest. I told Ryan that this was not disclosed to me and he responded with "it's all in the lease you signed". I asked Ryan how many people sit there and read all pages when purchasing or leasing and he stated 'none...I don't even do it'. Needless to say, I was very upset. I had to leave as I was holding my friend up and was already late in picking up the cargo van...my life's contents sitting on the front porch. I told Ryan I needed time to process this. I couldn't think straight. Later that afternoon after loading up the van (leaving at 0500 the next day--this was all well-organized and rehearsed) I called Ryan back to discuss what options I had. Went there today to discuss my end-of-lease options with one of their salesmen. I spoke to John (JP) Brown on the phone a few days earlier to schedule the appointment, he immediately came off as courteous and willing to help, even though he has not been with the company very long. The day I went to the dealer to meet with JP, I immediately received the same exceptional customer service I received over the phone. JP is incredibly friendly, polite, and professional even when he himself could not answer some of my questions. For those moments, I dealt with Ryan McGuire, equally amicable and professional. Being from another state, I was initially weary of dealing with a dealership I'm unfamiliar with, but the interactions with both employees made the situation immediately comfortable, transparent, and simple with exceptional customer service and attentiveness so inordinate to the industry. I'm a salesman on and off myself and understand the expectations left on these people. To treat customers as commodities rather than people. You don't get that feeling here. Even though I ended up deciding to buy out my lease which would entail taking my money to the bank and not the dealer, these guys remained faithful to customer service through the entire process. I am rarely compelled to write reviews for people who are only doing their jobs, but people like JP and Ryan do more than that and deserve the utmost recognition. I'm really disappointed to write this review, because I thought I was going to have a good experience. Today I went in to seal the deal on a car I was very interested in buying and left with nothing, feeling very foolish and baffled. I had gone back and forth with a salesman for over a month on a car. I had been looking at other cars that were the same make and model, until I found a car that was a little newer with fewer miles at another dealership and asked if he could match that price. At first, he had said no. Then some time passed and he sent me a text saying he had talked to his boss and would match that price. He kept assuring me that he wanted my business and he wanted to do it right. That had happened a little over a month's time so I could get things in order with my finances. Fast forward to today, as I am about to put a down payment on the car, I ask to make sure the price is still the same as we had discussed. He said, no, it was the price that was listed, that he couldn't find the text, and he did not remember that conversation. Well, I didn't have record of that text either, so not only was I upset that he had lied, but now I look like a foolish person that just haggled this guy for over a month for God knows what reason, I felt so stupid. Won't ever go back. The sales manager is a liar. My wife has been going there for years with her CX-9. She wanted to buy another car elsewhere and asked if this dealership would want to buy her car. The sales manager checked it out and wrote down $8,000 for a price. Based on that payoff, she went out and bought another vehicle. Today, she went in to sell the CX-9 to them and they crossed off the $8,000 and offered $6,200. They claimed the car went over 125,000 miles, which is not true. My Mazda had a 2018 Takara airbag safety recall and another recall from 2015. I was put in touch with Seacoast Mazda. I was initially set up for a December 27 appointment. All of my information was taken during that call. I later received a telephone call inquiring what I was bringing my car in for and I was told that I needed to reschedule. I rescheduled to January 3. I was instructed to call in January 2 to find out if a rental car would be available for me to use while my car was being repaired. I called on January 2 and spoke to JS. He had no information on me in his computer and stated that I did not have an appointment. Rather than going back and forth, I set up another appointment for January 9. On January 9 I dropped off my car and soon after doing so, I received a phone call stating that there were a several significant issues with my car and that my recall repairs could not be performed until some of these other issues were repaired. Hesitantly agreed to pay $500 in repair costs in order to get the ball rolling on the recall repairs, I picked my car up late that afternoon. My car was shaking and shimmy-big terribly and making noises I never heard from it before. Called Mazda to report this and rather than listening, they were defensive. Brought my car back for fourth time to have these issues addressed. Mechanic rode in my car with me and identified and repaired the issues. I am grateful for him helping resolve the issues but overall this was a frustrating experience. read more
