First time at this Filipino grocery store. I think it's great that Edmonton has one now, esp since we have such a large Filipino population. Our service was prompt at the food court/hot foods area. The grocery store was clean, and had lots of selection. My only complaint is the food was quite pricy in the food court/hot foods area. The skewers were absolutely delicious though so I won't complain too much! ;)

Super pricey. I never did my grocery shopping here because the prices are higher than City Market! Anyhow, we ordered food at Grill City and Crispy foods. The bbq pork is $6 per stick! I dont know how this place will survive. After the "oh let's try this new place!" Phase, i doubt if people will return. The food is nothing special. You can get the same food from other filipino places, at a much cheaper price. Waitresses and cashiers dont care for customers, order if u want, or dont. They dont even try to be nice to you. Its like an assembly line of robots. Very disappointed. Also, we called the day before to ensure they had the lechon belly on saturday. They said yes, around lunch time. I went at 12:30pm, and asked, all they said was "its still cooking". I asked the other person, how long will the cooking take? Is it almost done? Their response "i dont know, they just bring it out when its done" then i asked another person, and she said "'maybe 1-2 hours if you can wait." None of them apologized, none of them thought to ask the cook in the kitchen. I've been to other Seafood City's - ontario, us, etc and none of them have this bad of a service. Surprisingly too, the food is cheaper than this location.

I had a BLAST shopping here today! It was so exciting to see so many Filipino foods and snacks, all in one giant grocery store! I had fun checking out the different aisles. Everything was so well organized and tidy. The prices can be a bit expensive but it makes sense because many of the items are imported. The selection is amazing! It's great to be able to choose from a variety of flavours and brands of different foods. They have fresh produce, frozen seafoods, cooked foods, beauty products and much more! They also have a some baked goods from bakeries local to Edmonton. I've tried the prepared crispy foods and grilled foods sold in the cafeteria style/food court section of the store. I'm sad to say that I was a bit underwhelmed by these foods. I found the fried smelts kind of overcooked. The grilled foods were very overpriced for what we ended up getting. I don't think I'll be buying these foods again in the future. What will keep me returning to this store are the packaged snacks and baked goods. I feel like I'm taking a quick flightless trip to the Philippines when I come in here. I'm so happy we have this grocery store!

A super place to go and eat if you love fresh sea food This is a must check out Is also a super market so lots of good meat and vegetables

We're there yesterday and bought some products including fruits for Christmas, (around 80$). And they were a mass, all of them were bad, stinky and acidic, so we just through away 80$ and ruined guests expectations.

Some sort of FANTASTIC sweet and savoury egg bread situation, served hot and with a really fantastic dense but soft cake-like texture.

Rude supervisor, impatient! I asked around the name of that supervisor, the name is Hyna. Totally disappointed as a regular costumer.

I had…read moreheard about it before I won the prize and though it's a great concept to have fresh and frozen seafood delivered twice a month. The price of the couple package is $94.99 for about 10-12 ounces of 5 different fish. The delivery date depends on the region of the city you live in and mine was delivered on a Saturday afternoon. The process was easy to fill out the form on their website with my contact information. There was about a 4 hour window for the delivery but if you aren't going to be home, I left instructions were the package could be place. The delivery driver was friendly when he came by and gave me a insulated bag with my name on it. Inside each fish fillet was individually packaged well and it was ready to be cooked! I was impressed with how easy it would be to take the fish and prepare it. I also love the fact sheet about each fish stating where it's from and recommendations on best cooking method. There's also a recipe included for one of the fish. My package include New Zealand fish and I've had a few varieties and it's easy to prepare, flaky, and delicious. Better than having salmon and tuna, the usual staples. This is a great concept to get fish conveniently brought to your door. They also have single and family packages with come with less and more weight of the fish. The price isn't inexpensive but when you compare it to going to a restaurant and ordering fish from the menu, it's reasonably priced.

Fresh fish, small 1-1.5lb live lobsters, live crabs, 8-10 different varieties of live oysters, live clams, and live mussels. The freezer had lots of stuff as well. This store is clean, orderly, well organized, and has a view into the cutting room! I've seen some live posts on Facebook with them filleting different fish so I know they put it to good use. Rob has been championing seafood in Edmonton for a long time and it's nice to see that he has his own brick and mortar store to visit!

The freshest salmon in yeg. Poke tuna and salmon is top notch. I discovered this hidden gem from my mom. She always goes here to stock up on fresh seafood. I was blown away with the selection as it is similar to the fish markets in japan. Nothing is frozen here since the items sold, are often gone after a few days. What caught my eye on my last visit was the giant king prawn and the fresh salmon. Both of those items were stellar and I honestly could not rave about it any more. They also have a quick stop catering place for for grab and go items like the crab roll and fish and chips. I really loved the crab roll as I do not know anywhere else that makes these fresh daily! There are tons of specialty items like oils, sauces, pastas, honey... even yogurt sauce. Most of the items are from Italy, france, japan and greece. Another great thing about this place is the little lollipops from france or juice from japan. There is always room for a little extra deliciousness. A must stop for any special occassions to get your seafood needs.

Absolutely shocked…read more. My 73-year-old Mother attended church at Resurrection Parish on Sunday morning. She decided to park in the parking lot of the old IGA for Sunday service not thinking it was a big deal as there were no parking signs in the southwest corner of the parking lot and her and her friends have frequently gone for coffee in the strip mall after service was over, not to mention there was not a single car in the whole parking lot. Luckily Church ended early, only to find her car in the air from Cliff's Towing being called out by "Catch of The Week". In shock, my Mother paid the Toe truck driver on the spot to release her vehicle with a hit of $216.25. After she had told me this, we visited the store the next day and asked to speak to the manager. After a long debate, the frustrated manager did not care about pissing off the community in which his Business operates- a very poor business move in my opinion, upon which we were lastly yelled at and told "THIS IS PRIVATE PROPERTY, NOW GET THE F*CK OFF MY PROPERTY". Very disappointed in the way they handled the situation, and to say the least- we and others we inform will NOT be shopping for extremely overpriced Halibut coming in at $98/ KG!!? The 'catch' is that they don't care about the customers in the community and the LAST thing they will get from me is this Review!
