The bikes were fine, I was very put off by the salesman had me test ride a bicycle that was made more for women (less sporty, not just a women's bike) and then proceeded to pretty much make fun of the way I rode the bike and told me "look up and make sure I didn't run into a pothole" because I was a woman riding a bike. Steer Clear! EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL! On Wednesday June 6, I took my rear bike wheel (wheel only.. it was removed from the the bike) into SeaGreen Bicycle to have the cassette and free-hub serviced. The younger guy (not the owner) took the order and told me it would be finished in a week or less (since I had already taken the time to remove it from the bike, etc.). He also told me someone would call if there were any issues or anything needed to be ordered. Today (a week later) after not hearing anything whatsoever from them, I called inquiring as to the status. A young lady answered the phone. I told her my name and what was being done. She put me on hold and picked up a moment later as she was now back in the repair area trying to locate my wheel. The owner was in the background saying things such as "we can't get it of the bicycle yet" .. "we need to order a part". I explained to the girl that it was just a rear wheel that was brought in, not a bike. The owner got on the phone and started to give me excuses. He said we needed to order a new wheel since the free-hub was built into the wheel and not removable. I said, yes, in fact, it is removable as it has been serviced several times before where I previously lived. By serviced, I mean routine cleaning and greasing. I also told him that his employee also indicated that someone would call me if anything needed to be ordered. He then said to me "well take this call as your notice we need to order a new wheel". I said "No thank you.. I'll be there in an hour to pick it up". I also told him "what all this means is you haven't really touched it at all yet, and this is just your way of making an excuse to why it's not done in the time frame I was told it would be done". He said "Fine. Come an get it". I arrive an hour later, only to find my wheel, laying outside on the ground, halfway in the parking lot!! It was in pieces.. just laying there in the dirt, outside of his shop! Extremely careless and unprofessional. This place is a JOKE. Do yourself a favor, and save yourself the wasted time and aggravation! read more

Great experience with these guys on Sat June 29,2019. Everyone there friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. Everyone seemed happy to be working there. My adult son and I rented a bike for my son - fitted him well. Neither of us has ever been in the area and they were helpful with the condition of the route we were considering. Helped me with my "hot Foot " issue with appropriate shoes and upon our return with my decision to purchase wider pedals. They installed the pedals, oiled my chain, and discovered a frayed gear cable in the process, which I had repaired immediately upon my return to RI. I will definitely return to this shop when in the area, and highly recommend. Also the rental was crazy affordable! read more

I visited SeaGreen this week, and had one of the best customer service experiences ever! I was staying in Wildwood, NJ on vacation. Five of us took the ferry over to Lewes one morning for a biking adventure. We happened upon Seagreen. Highlights: - The man who helped us was amazing. He helped each of us find the right bike -- and was incredibly knowledgeable and patient. - The price couldn't be beat -- $20 for the day. - The bikes were high-end (for rentals) -- They were were lightweight, had great seats, little speedometers, and baskets. Everything you would want in a bike. - They gave us a map that was easy to read and very helpful -- it laid out the key routes through the 16 mile loop. Quick tip -- The bike shop isn't walking distance from the ferry, but it is just a short taxi ride away (it cost us about 6 bucks). Highly, highly, recommend this place! read more

I purchased a Fugi Tread "Gravel" Bike and have had major problems with the rear brake. Shop was unable to fix the problem. Bike screeches and vibrates when using the rear brake. Totally frustrated with their response. read more

True story. Bought my bike and lock from SeaGreen in Lewes back in 8/2016. Sometime in spring 2017, I locked my bike on Rehoboth ave and couldn't get it to unlock when I returned to it. I thought about calling a locksmith or the fire dept to free my bike but figured I'd call the guys at SeaGreen first to see if they had any suggestions. 15-20min later, one of their guys from the Rehoboth SeaGreen shop bikes over to where I was with a pair of bolt cutters and a new bike lock. They go above and beyond for their customers. read more

We stopped in looking for a service repair or replacement part for our son's bike that broke on vacation. We were stuck without tools, and we didn't even know if it could be fixed. We arrived in Lewes from Cape May by ferry with our bikes. Upon disembarking I discovered a broken spoke. As we were planning a long ride thru the local trails a repair proved necessary. Kevin Adams of SeaGreen provided excellent and timely repairs. He gave great local guidance on the trails and the sights in the state park. Kevin also adjusted my bike as well as my wife's. His fee was reasonable, demeanor wonderful and engaging conversation refreshing. SeaGreen is highly recommended for service, rentals and purchases. read more

We have rented bikes at several different places in Lewes over the years but Seagreen Bicycle is by far the best. We've been bike shopping there and have rented bikes and both times the service has been outstanding! The guy working there was able to quickly find us the kind of rental bikes we wanted and lowered the seat for one our riders. They gave us great advice on a trail that was perfect for our family. One of our riders had their own bike and encountered some problems with it on the ride. The shop was able to quickly identify the problem and fixed it free of charge. He even gave both girls free stickers because he heard them talking about it. The rentals were incredibly cheap. We biked for a little over two hours and the total cost for all three bikes was $45! All in all if you want to go biking in Lewes, I strongly recommend Seagreen Bicycles. read more

What an amazing experience I had buying a bike at Seagreen bicycles in Lewes. Eric provided a lot of good advice, was very patient as I tried out multiple bikes and did not pressure me at all to buy. He actually told me to go home and think about the different features and what I really needed and quickly answered multiple emails I sent with questions. They have bike sales, rentals, a shop full of accessories and gear, a huge service area, and some really nice staff who helped me get my bike back together when it came apart 6 miles from home. These guys are great - my 70yr+ parents have rented bikes here the last two summers (for two weeks each time) and have always set them up with great bikes and accessories. I had the occasion to go in for the first time when I had a little spill on my own bike. The guys were great in diagnosing the problem and fixing it while I waited, and for a very fair price.
