From start to finish, everything was well organized and ran smoothly. We ended up with Kevin as our guide through The Baths, and he was outstanding. He knew the history of the islands, pointed out landmarks along the way, and explained how the giant granite boulders at The Baths were formed. You could tell he really enjoys what he does, and it made the experience so much more interesting. The rest of the crew--Brendan, Brian, and Robin (with a Y)--were just as great. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and always making sure guests had what they needed. The boat was clean and comfortable, the open bar was a nice bonus, and the whole day felt relaxed without ever feeling unorganized. This trip was absolutely worth the money. If you're visiting St. Thomas and want to see the British Virgin Islands, I wouldn't hesitate to book with Stormy Pirates again.

We booked a private charter for a group of 7 and Sonic charters gave us the best day on the island…read more The captain gave us some suggestions for a snorkeling excursion and took us to some of his hidden gems. We stopped by a beach for lunch and did some sight seeing with caves where he told us some stories about the attractions. The level of accommodation was also stellar as he was able to be flexible with our needs. Some of our friends were sea sick and requested to be dropped off a beach to relax and picked up later. The captain planned our day around that and helped to keep time of when we would go pick up our friends. The coral reefs were so vibrant and we saw so many fishes in the ocean. The captain made us feel safe that he has our back in case we swayed too far from the boat or needed help. I am not a swimmer but the boat had noodles and life jackets that he did not mind taking out and putting away as we went about our day. I appreciated how respectful the captain was about the island and the rules implemented such as reef safe sunscreens, no touching the turtles and so on. We had a great time and learned a thing or two! Towards the end of the trip a friend realized he had forgotten something on the boat and sonic charters helped us locate the boat and captain to retrieve it. Coming from nyc, it would have been long gone but glad we got it back. We had a great time, I would recommend them for anyone visiting and want their own boat to get away from the crowds.

These machines are no joke either modern Yamaha and Sea-Doo jet skis that'll absolutely fly across the water if you let them. Next thing you know, we're out there like a couple of overgrown kids checking off a bucket-list item I normally wouldn't splurge on. Another couple pulled up beside us and suddenly it turned into what felt like the Caribbean Grand Prix. Hard banking turns, hopping wakes, spraying each other with rooster tails of water like a bunch of irresponsible pirates. At one point it felt less like jet skiing and more like bumper cars on the ocean. The laughter, the shouting, the pure reckless joy of the moment it was childish, ridiculous, and absolutely unforgettable. I'm not saying we broke every rule... but I'm also not saying we didn't. Now don't get me wrong be responsible out there. These guys take safety seriously, with briefings, life jackets, and a safety boat nearby while you ride. But I'll say this: from the friendly staff to the convenient location (even our cab driver told us to go there), it turned into one of the most fun memories of the whole trip. Nobody got hurt, nothing got damaged, we didn't get hauled off by the marine police and somehow we rode back to the dock laughing like kids who just got away with something. I usually save my money for boat tours and cruises... but this? Totally worth it. One of the wildest, funniest afternoons I've ever had on the water.

Omar, our driver, was always on time and had the SUV in tip top shape. Clean inside and out and smelled nice. Omar did a great job navigating us back to the airport on the final day of Carnival. Great snorkeling, great lunch and Captain's good company. Dusty kept our two 12 YO boys happy by speeding over the waves and lifting them off their seats. He also let them experience actually driving the boat all the way down the channel (under his supervision of course). Made both of them feel like they were the Captains for the day. We have chartered boats all over the Virgin Islands and we have never experienced such a unique blend of professionalism, courtesy and sincere desire to make your day on the water the best day ever. I was a snorkeling "virgin" and Dusty was very patient helping me to figure out how to get everything on correctly and even gave me some pointers on how to swim deeper and see all the fascinating wildlife underwater. I called them before I left Houston Texas. I called them when I arrived in Saint Thomas. They said everything was good. 30 minutes before. I'm supposed to meet the captain. They secretary call me and cancel the trip. What's very suspicious is they didn't know that. I rented a condominium that overlook the boat slip. 24 that the secretary told me I was supposed to meet. The captain woke up very early, and I watched him scurry out of the marina with the boat. The next three hours I asked questions with very conflicting stories. Everybody had a different story. I smell a rat. I smell a liar. Do not book a trip with these people. They are liars.

Front gate: $5/vehicle for port entry. Lady working the booth extremely rude and dismissive. Dock: Security guard lady was beyond rude and obnoxious. Obvious many of the people taking the ferry to St. John were 1st timers. I've read all the reviews on the ferry dock and the common theme from ST to ST J is that the security guards are the worse. Well...I lived it and it's true. The security guards are the worse employees ever. Did I mention rude and obnoxious? There's no signs or directions on where to park and where to wait....so you're at the whim of the security guard telling you where to go. Hint: do not purchase an online reservation. Bring cash to the ferry and pay round trip for the first boat that arrives. This way, you can hop on the earliest ferry. Just make sure you get back on the same ferry provider on the way back to ST T. Otherwise, you will have to pay full price for the return trip. When you get on the ferry, I person will come by and collect payment or check your car reservation. They will give you either a yellow or pink copy of the receipt. Do not lose this. Leave it in the glove box for the return home. You just show this or you will pay again. There are 2 providers. 1. Red Barge 2. Love City (black and white with VIC as part of the boat name). Make sure you return on the same company. Cruz Bay Ferry workers were awesome. It's the Red Hook crew that sucked.
