It was built between 1895 and 1904, the basement is half stone, half concrete. I had Mcglaughlin insulation spray foam the stone wall in my basement that faces the street. My home has never been the same, controlling the temperature in my has improved 100 fold. The moisture in my basement is easier to control as well which in an older home is a blessing. Thank you Ben for your exemplary work.

From the owner: McGlaughlin Insulation specializes in polyurethane spray foam and cellulose insulation…read more Polyurethane spray foam is a spray-applied cellular plastic, which, when properly installed, can fill hard to reach areas with seamless coverage, providing protection from water and rodent damage. As a higher R-value insulation, spray foam gives more insulation with less thickness then other types of insulation and comes in two types: closed-cell and open-cell. Closed-cell polyurethane spray foam, with its compact cell structure, is effective as an air and water-vapor barrier and is used often in roofing projects and other outdoor applications. Closed-cell spray foam can also act as a mold and moisture deterrent. Open-cell spray foam, with its lighter, more open-cell architecture, is great for sound insulation between interior walls. Cellulose insulation, the latest in home insulation solutions, is a loose-fill insulation made out of renewable, plant-based products and is environmentally friendly, having the highest recycled content of any current insulation material. Recent studies have also shown that cellulose may be a better fire-deterrent than fiberglass. Like spray foam, cellulose can be installed in hard to reach areas, fitting over pipes and wiring. While providing a lower R-value than spray foam, cellulose is traditionally a lower cost option that also provides effective insulation.

My wife and I appreciated that they were happy to help us with the financing/ payment arrangement. We were able to finance half and were allowed to give them a post dated check for the remainder. This helped us so much. This made it easier for our financial situation. Our thanks to Doug our sales rep for working with us.

Code shut them down. It rained inside my house that night. When they did come out to do the roof with permit. They didn't clean up the nails, put my gutters back on or clean up very well. They caused damage to my home. I gave them the opportunity to fix it and they did a horrible job. One of their workers then peed on my house in view of me and my grandkids. I told them to get off my property. I have been trying to get resolution with their insurance company. The insurance company did an inspection and refused to share the report with me.....about my home. My insurance company helped me with mold remediation and their insurance didn't pay them back.....so my home owners insurance went up. The rough still leaks. I had 2 other roofers come out and look at it. They said I didn't get the watershield and the drip edges weren't secured etc. It is already damaged underneath. I still have holes in my dining room ceiling and bathroom ceiling. Their insurance company told me they used a subcontractor when I was assured at the point of sale that they did their own work. Since it was support to be GFR, the roofer suggested I go do a claim with them. I did. They called modern. Modern indicated that they were going to sue me for payment. I am not paying for a roof I will have to throw out! So now I am looking at the attorney general office and for attorneys. I have tried for almost a year to resolve this! It has exacerbated my PTSD and my blood pressure. So go ahead.... let's have our day in court. I have videos, texts, photos etc. RUN AWAY!

They were inconsistent in communication, started hours later than scheduled, and the end result included thick clumps of mud in some places, zero mud under/around tape in other places. I was able to remove 80% of the tape on the wall without any hand tools - it just fell off. And some gaps in the drywall were large enough that I could see that they didn't fully cover the wall with the MLV (despite having more than enough material). Tried to get them to come back and sand it down and re-mud, but they were unwilling to make any attempt to make this better. I would have had better results if a kindergarten class had done the job.
